Two More Cops Shot After Yesterday's Brutal New York "Execution"
Just a day after the premeditated execution of two NYPD officers in New York by a deranged, suicidal psychopath, two more police officers have been shot in America today. In St.Louis, an off-duty officer was shot multiple times and remains in critical condition while in Tarpon Springs, Florida, 45-year-old officer Charles Kondek - a 17-year-veteran and father of 5 children - was shot and killed early Sunday morning.
Florida authorities say a police officer was shot and killed in Tarpon Springs early Sunday.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that police have arrested 23-year-old Marco Antonio Parilla Jr. on suspicion of first-degree murder.
The Tarpon Springs Police Department identified the fallen officer as 45-year-old Charles Kondek, a 17-year veteran of the local police department. Originally from New York, Kondek had previously served on the New York City Police Department for more than five years, authorities said.
Authorities say Kondek responded to a call for service shortly after 2 a.m. Police said the suspect shot at the officer and then fled the scene in a vehicle and crashed into a pole and another vehicle. He was then apprehended by police at that location.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that Kondek was the father of five children.
As KSDK further adds reports:
An off-duty St. Louis police officer was shot multiple times Friday. It happened near the intersection of Breman Avenue and North 25th Street at approximately 3:55 p.m.
Captain Michael Sack says the victim, a 28-year-old man with four years experience with the department, is in critical stable condition with injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening. Capt. Sack says the officer was shot several times in his lower extremities.
"An off duty officer had been driving down this street in his personal vehicle when he came across an occupant or occupants in another vehicle," described Capt. Sack. "We don't know what transpired, but the occupant or occupants of that other vehicle opened fire at the officer."
The officer was in surgery Friday evening, so the department says it wouldn't be able to interview him until Saturday.
"He was struck a number of times," explained Capt. Sack. "He drove a short distance where someone else, then, took over and drove his vehicle. We think it was someone who was not inside the car with him at that time."
Captain Sack says the officer was armed at the time of the shooting, but it is unclear if he fired any shots.
Police are searching for a grey vehicle. There is currently no suspect description available.

A core problem is the "Us against them" mentality of way too many cops. They fail to understand that you get back what you put out there. For far too long bad cops have been able to oppress, exploit and harrass civilians with impunity because their "good cop" buddies were closer to the "us" than to the "them".
Add to this that Internal Affairs departments are almost universally distrusted and disrespected, the "Brass" is almost always clueless, and drug money in the pockets of corrupt politicians has completely subverted the so-called "justice system" and this is what you get.
I expect open season on cops, and that is a damn shame. People should be shooting politicians, not cops. At least there are some good cops. Politicians? Almost any kill would be a good kill.
You probably make more sense of this but some years ago I participated in a "citizen academy" hosted by the city police. My neighbor was a cop and he invited me, it was like twice a week for a couple of months. Culminated in an evening shooting Glocks at their range which was nice.
One thing I didn't like is that so many cops were coming and going to Iraq. Just a huge percentage of them, and they acted like they owed it to returning military to hire them as cops. I predicted way back then, say 2004, this was nothing but trouble... Even a traffic stop seems like an encounter with a PTSD psychopath wearing a gun. The image of that cop at UC Davis spraying college kids speaks volumes. The guy in New York begging for mercy as he's strangled to death by a cop who didn't even get put on public trial.... That Independence died in 1865, with direct federal control extorted on the state and local level by grants, public works. Just like you give up all your Constitutional rights to drive on public roads, your local school is controlled by the federal govt, so is the militarization of the police directed at the enemy "US".
There is a lot of truth to that. The police have an agreement with teh great powers that rule our lives through government fascism. Cops do the dirty work, and they will be rewarded and honored by the elites.
"To Serve and Protect" began appearing on LA cops cars back when I was a child. I was told that this was part of a PR campaign to clean up the image of an LA force famous for random killings, beatings and forced confessions. Along with setting people up they didn't like. The general belief was that every cop carried a little bag of drugs and a small handgun wiped clean. Both were used as the situation arose. People in LA feared cops, and from what I was told, they had good reason for that fear.

The german equivalent of Serve and Protect were the SS - Special Police - Sonderschutz.
And, of course, we have the German Shepherd - schutzhund - police dog, often used in LA for basic intimidation.
I care, recent happenings are not a good sign. Most cops are good people, but like with every group there are bad apples. The despotism is coming in when the bad apples go unpunished, which to have a civilzed society can not be allowed.

Funny how when a Black man or woman is shot by someone who is not wholly Black, race is the issue. When the opposite happens, it's not mentioned at all.

I don't think the cops are going to think twice about having a trigger finger at this point. Shoot first ask questions later.

I know that it will happen. But I do not support that happening at all, as I do not support people killing cops, as I do not support cops killing unarmed black men.
Perhaps there may be an alternative? Perhaps the rule of law need to be followed and police do not get an open season permit on the population...regardless of skin color. Perhaps police can be prosecuted and jailed for abuse under color of authority.
Do we want to connect these incidents to the New York attack? I think not, we all know officers die on duty, just as ordinary people are murdered every day. It would be a hige mistake to being a list now, after New York, of every officer killed on duty, as if a war had begun and this is coordinated.
If the cops get even a wiff of an idea that coordinated attacks are beginning, they are likely to being gunning people down with a vengance.
After New York, I heard many calls by cops to refuse to work. Notice they did not say resign, they said stop working. Meaning, "We will hold our jobs and out pay, we will just not work." As if, the public is going to pay them to sit and do nothing.
Take the badge away and the weakness shows.

Isn’t it often the case where the un-involved people get hurt. Look at the housing bust and Wall Street Fraud; the average American got trashed while the instigators (the Mozilloes, Corzines, and bankers and mortgagers) were bailed out and got off scot free.
