I object to the use of the word deregulation. ALL of the "regulations" CONgress puts in place are specifically used to graft the American public in general. To suggest that CONgress deregulated any industry is ridiculous. They regulate their friends, through ALL legislation, into one side of the two-tier justice system and us plebes into the other side. That is ALWAYS the case with any regulation, hence my wish to see true anarchism.

Deregulation? Pfft. Just repealing regulations that stop Wall Street from carrying on with business as ususal. That industry is heavily regulated, and you need to be big enough to either follow the regulations, or buy the regulators and pay the fines when you ignore them and get caught. Finance is regulated in favor of TBTF.
TBFT loves regulations and sponsors them incessantly. It is their primary method of squeezing out smaller competitors. Regulations never server the people they serve to protect powerful special interests. Deregulate everything.
Laws are for little people.

Complete deregulations would surely instill some market discipline, but these guys are after partial deregulation: striking down rules within a framework where the government's the ultimate backstop.
A more accurate picture would have the Wall Street fellow simultaneously shoving dollars into the pocket of Congress
Deregulation is not happening. Wall street is deregulated when the bailout slaves no longer get a gun on their heads if they refuse to bailout wall street. It is perfectly fine to have wall street deregeulated if there is no one to bail them out and if you do not have to deal with them under legal compulsion.
If we are not smart enought to take advantage, then so be it. But, quit whining.
