Art Cashin Unleashes Chistmas Poem: "Count Your Blessings... Along With Your Wealth"
From no greater laureate than UBS' NYSE Floor director Art Cashin... the year behind us (and the one ahead) in rhythmic narrative.
'Tis two days before Christmas
and at each brokerage house
The only thing stirring
was the click of a mouse
Down on the Exchange
the tape inches along
Brokers bargained and traded
as they hummed an old song
The Fed says they're "patient"
but some folks still fear
That rates they'll start hiking
too early next year
Frisco took the series
and Seattle the Bowl
But Tiger still struggles
to get the ball in the hole
Ellen D. took a group selfie
at the Oscar awards
The darn thing got retweeted
till it pulled down some boards
Putin scooped up Crimea
and some parts of Ukraine
But an oil plunge and sanctions
are causing him pain
In Europe a song contest
was won by a nun
And the song that she sang was -
Girls just want to have fun
In Portland a kid offered
a hug to anyone near
A cop took advantage
for the pic of the year
But with Cosby and Kim K.
there was little to cheer
Yet it's Christmastime, Alice
And Santa is near
So stop looking backwards
have a cup of good cheer
And kiss you a loved one
raise your hopes for next year
And amidst all the trading
Christmas themes we will heed
And share our good fortune
with families in need
And tomorrow they’ll pause
as we wait on the bell
To sing a tradition
a song for old “Nell”
Don’t let this year’s problems
impede Christmas Cheer
Resolve to be happy
throughout the New Year
And resist ye Grinch feelings
let joy never stop
Put the bad at the bottom
keep the good on the top
So count up your blessings
along with your worth
You’re still living here
in the best place on earth
And think ye of wonders
that light children's eyes
And hope Santa will bring you
that Christmas surprise
So play ye a carol
by Mario Lanza
Unless you are waiting
to celebrate Kwanzaa
Hanukkah’s ending
And Ramadan’s long gone
Different folks, different holidays
yet each spirit lives on
Whatever your feast is
we hope you all still
Find yourself just surrounded
by folks of goodwill
Wednesday, as the bell rings
hark to your heart’s call
And as Santa would shout
Merry Christmas to All!

Art Cashin sucks as a poet.
Just sayin'.
The price of appearing on CNBS is that he can't speak out against the madness all around him, so he resorts to poetry. But the guy knows better, you can tell.
Russian bank endorsed by Bruce Willis collapses:
http://tinyurl.com/pdsc2ca
yes, definitely, art knows better, he has to. Bob Pisani also knows better,he has been for so long around CNBC that you got learn at some point how it works. However, for all these guys they got jobs to attend to and while you can why not have another round ehhhh ???
On the russian bank, if Bruce Willis is involved most likely the government will bail it out.
"And amidst all the trading

Oh goody Santa Cashin!
I will stay up all night watching my account!
He can't beat the Limerick king!
The fact that Cashin goes on cnbc is enough to negate anything he says.
Mindboggling the fucked up fantasy world that these people live in.
The only other answer is that he KNOWS it's a fantasy world (which would explain why he's not exactly a poster boy for teetotalers anonymous).
Wash that blue pill down with a double scotch Art ~ Cheers!
I just want to hear the song about the little nailgunner boy.
Sooo, they sent me, a rat-a-tat-tat...
To fix a banker scheme, a rat-a-tat-tat...
No longer welcome here, a rat-a-tat-tat...
It's time to die you fuck, a rat-a-tat-tat, rat-a-tat-tat, rat-a-tat-tat...
A few holes in there, a rat-a-tat-tat,
Then I come...
Sleazy banker, a rat-a-tat-tat...
I'm not as good as you, a rat-a-tat-tat...
My home is reposessed, a rat-a-tat-tat...
I have no assets left, a rat-a-tat-tat, rat-a-tat-tat, rat-a-tat-tat
So in revenge I, a rat-a-tat-tat
Drill your head...
Jaime sent me, a rat-a-tat-tat...
Blythe Masters paid my fee, a rat-a-tat-tat...
The FED paid a bonus, a rat-a-tat-tat...
To ice your sorry ass, a rat-a-tat-tat, rat-a-tat-tat, rat-a-tat-tat
In your hands I place, a rat-a-tat-tat
My used nail gun.
Well done. I'm dreaming of a nailgun Christmas.
I'm scheming a nailgun christmas
Just like the standard hits before
where the skull tops glisten
and the blood flows pissing
and hear screaming on the floor...
He should give a report on what to drink this Christmas....he knows that stuff pretty well..
Lets just say the blood aint flowin through the neck as well as it used to. Gravity bitches.
2008-2014 has been the greatest Christmas Miracle in Wall Street history. I think looking backward in awe is in order and obviously a prayer that such good fortune can now begin to spread not just to this land but to all lands.
"Sharing is caring" as they say.
In case you were asleep, they let anybody in here who has $500,000 or more dollars for any reason. The finances went up, but the quality of person went down. Happy trails where ever you may land.
Twas' two days before Christmas, and all through the Fed,
The minions were cheering,"Volatility is dead".
Portfolios were leveraged, with nary a care,
With assurances that liquidity, would always be there.
The indices climbed to new record heights,
With visions of higher; the Fed you don't fight.
My terminals blinking, and I at my desk,
I'd finally conceded, there was no more risk.
When in emerging markets there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my seat to see what was the matter.
Away to the Bloomberg, I flew like a flash,
Reviewed all the headlines and began to raise cash.
Europe was crashing, with Japan in more trouble,
China was slowing, and our markets a bubble.
When what to the pandering press should appear,
Soothing words from the Fed, and again markets cheered.
The algos u-turned, there'd be no more sellin',
I knew in an instant it must be Janet Yellen.
More rapid than eagles, her policies they came,
And she whistled and shouted and called them by name.
On stimulus, on TARP, on QEs 1, 2 and 3,
On Abenomics, on LTROs, the money is free.
$13TR and counting, we'll print 'til we die.
Prosperity from nothing, it's as easy as pie.
And then came the punchline, they'd found a new fix.
The Fed was preparing QEs 4, 5 and 6!
I often have asked, just how high is high.
I no longer question, I know to just buy.
The chairwoman smiled, a right jolly old elf.
The con worked again, she was proud of herself.
Fundamentals don't count, only faith in the Fed.
Investors the world over have nothing to dread.
A world drowning in debt, weighed down with deflation,
Was saved once again by more asset inflation.
And I heard her exclaim, as she cranked up her press,
Wish your kids Merry Christmas, they'll inherit this mess!
My apologies to Clement Moore. Merry Christmas, and God bless us, every one!
Is "Cashin" his real name or just a play on words? In any event, Art I hope that you suffer a heart attack and die a horrible death this Christmas...come on it is not like you celebrate it right?
I like Art Cashin. His outlook is short-term as it should be for a floor trader. Longer term, however, the markets are on a downward deflationalry spiral...

I could not upvote the Little nail gunner!
The moment anyone goes against Wall Street and the Federal Reserve they'll be accidentally jumping off a tall building.
He has an evil twin by the name of Mart Crashin'.
His poem said "along with your worth" not wealth. Just another example of the dumbasses running this site trying to stir things up. But nobody notices anyway....

Cashin has awsome words of wisdom.............
Quit trying to act better than the guy and listen...........
I learned very early in life that the more you listen to the old guys the better you will do..............
Have seen it time and time again....
In several diverse occupations.
Listen, comprehend and learn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My only wish is that ZH publish his daily update every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ignore the older fellas at your own risk......... They have seen it all before and they know how to handle it or at least minimize the risk.
And That is the name of the game BITCHES
The people who saw the last multigenerational bull market are almost all dead. The 'old guys' these days have simply seen the 1990s-2009 basing pattern forming. They think we are in for a crash. What they fail to see is the triple top breakout we have experienced that will lead to another 10-20 years of upside. Zoom that Dow chart out to a lifetime scale and you will see it too. Those old guys will all be dead and gone before another real bear market comes and most of them will lose all their money looking for the crash that never arrives.
This time next year when the S&P is trading around 2500 with the Dow over the 20000 I'm sure there will be similar articles. They will still be nearly just as wrong but the good news is that it takes two parties for every equity trade; a buyer and an idiot.
Sometimes he posts here as well;http://kingworldnews.com/
