Caught On Tape: What Happens When A California Driver Finally Snaps
In the idyllic foothills of the Sierras amid the forested beauty of Tahoe National Forest, it appears the California drought finally got to Deirdre Orozco. As the following crazy clip shows, the 50-year-old Santa Clara woman went full Mad Max on two young female drivers after they reportedly made "a rude gesture" to Orozco after she had been tailgating. The dramatic cellphone video of the event has ended with Orozco being charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of false imprisonment, unlawful use of a badge, reckless driving and resisting arrest. A Northern California woman made her first court appearance Tuesday after a road rage incident was captured in a dramatic cellphone video that showed a vehicle forcing a car off a mountain highway.
Two women frantically called the California Highway Patrol on Saturday afternoon to report that they were being repeatedly cut off by the driver of a Ford Explorer Sport Trac pickup truck on Interstate 80, about 60 miles northeast of Sacramento.
"She just hit our car, she just hit our car. She's pushing us off of the road. Yes, she's pushing us off the road. She's coming for us," passenger Delanie Strykul tells a CHP dispatcher on the video, her voice shaking. "Please help us."
The video shows the Explorer forcing their Mazda onto the shoulder as the Mazda's driver screams.
"I could not believe this was real. I was sitting there going, 'This has to be a joke,'" Strykul told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

The suspect, Deirdre Orozco, 50, of Santa Clara, was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of false imprisonment, unlawful use of a badge, reckless driving and resisting arrest.
She was held in lieu of $250,000 bail and was due back in court Friday after pleading not guilty to multiple charges from two incidents days apart.

Not excusing Orozco in any way, not at all. She's quite clearly a dangerous freak.
However...
Without knowing what happened before the video, I do see daily on the LA and OC areas freeways, a lot and I mean A LOT of super-aggressive and confrontational behavior. In days gone by, my commute was just a drain on my time. Today, it's fast becoming a survival experience.
Moreover I am frequently shocked by the level of aggression I see in the college-aged kids, especially the females. A colleague of mine refers to them as "the Xena Generation:" young girls who grew up watching Hollywood's social engineering programs on TV, and believe beating down a man or multiple men is not only feasible but easy. These young women simply do not grasp, in the upside-down Brave New World our "leaders" have fabricated for them, just how THIN the veneer of civilization really is.
I suspect this is also behind the growing trend of university campus rapes and other forms of female abuse. Girls have not been taught consequences by their many years of state-directed education/indoctrination, and have been empowered by the official emasculation of the males.
Should these inequities persist, the invincible arrogance of one gender will, one day, intersect with the smoldering bitterness of the other, and all Hell will be unleashed. This is a day to fear and avoid, if at all possible.

This. The only people who get free passes when they shoot and kill someone else are the cops. Not just a free pass from justice under the law, but a LOT of paid vacation.
This policy of paid 'adminstrative leave' following every citizen murder creates a real moral hazard.
The recent murder of some pigs is frankly the inevitable response to repeated tyranny that goes without justice thru the courts. A cop who kills a citizen should be put on unpaid suspension for at least 100 days.
When a cop fires a round that hits a bystander, the cop should be disqualified from ever carrying a gun while on official duty.
When a SWAT-thug blows up the face of 2-year-old with a grenade as part of a 'no-knock' warrant, he should face felony charges AUTOMATICALLY. No grand jury, straight to trial.
This rule should also apply whenever a cop kills a citizen when they are in their own home and there is a lack of video-documented 'knock-and-announce.'
The fuckwads who are now calling for greater citizen support of thugcops and greater empathy need to acknowledge the tyranny and crimes that cops are committing, and address the law enforcement procedures that lead to these tyrannies and citizen deaths.

I disagree with most of what you wrote.
However, one statistic that you mention that most people don't know is that when a cop fires his weapon in public, 11% of the time, he hits the wrong person -- a bystander, an innocent. When a private citizen (non-LEO) uses his weapon, he only hits the wrong person (a non-perp) 2% of the time.
That's a 550% difference in error rate.
In other words, by the numbers, you are safer around armed citizens than around cops.

In fairness to the cops, they're usually engaged in far trickier/confusing situations. But the numbers do not lie. Facts are friendly. Adjust your worldviews accordingly.

One example of common occurance: last week at a 4 way stop, I go and the woman to the left felt it was her intersection so proceeded to almost ram me and hammer the horn. So i stop and sit so no one can move to give her some reflection time. Again, a woman, what could she do? Start a fight with a man or even if it was another skank how does she assume there is no weapon in the truck. Typically these people that go around acting tough are not, because those of us that have delt lessons know they are to be avoided if possible.....but if neccessary I go full Irish.

A. Weapon or not, should women go into public starting confrontations even if they are armed?
