What really infuriates me is these cops running around looking like Robocop and Rambo, dressed to the 9's with automatic weapons, etc. as if they were anticipating fighting off a couple of divisions of suicidal Ninja warriors. Hell, in Vietnam, fighting NVA troops, I looked nothing like these jacked-up jerks and in my case, real, life bullets and mortars were flying around. They have no need to appear so intimidating and deadly; people are naturally indignant and scornful at the display of such unnecessary force. They look like a bunch of clueless dummies who don't know that glaring displays of lethal force have no place in local neighborhoods and that they foster a glaring divide between the police and the community. If you want to look like that, I've got two words for the cops: fuck you!....

I recall a few post-9/11 UN-in-session days where the bastards would stop 1 vehicle in the convey at every major intersection so that a milspec, tac-gear-wearing stormtrooper could get out and point his machine gun in 4 directions until the last convey truck went thru. USA cops are trained to military combat appearances, tactics, equipment, which results in military combat attitude and behavior.
When all these police killings of unarmed men started being big news, and after having been subjected to harassment and intimidation by a stasi-wanna-be myself, I started researching everything about the police, from education and training thru criminal law.
I made some interesting discoveries/revelations, here are just two based upon examination of the course descriptions from police training programs:
1. Police are NOT trained or ordered by their commands to protect civil rights, including property, life, etc - they are trained to think and act like every person is potentially involved in some criminal activity AND potentially armed and dangerous, and that therefore the police must aggressively intrude in people's lives, cars, etc to find the inevitable evidence of anything chargeable, AND immediately shoot to kill on any object that might potentially be a weapon or any action that might possibly be threatening. This is the fundamental attitude and belief behind "stop and frisk", for example, which cops just love, love, love - the cops don't care one gnat turd about civil rights, in fact the cops hate civil rights because it interferes with their unrestrained assertion of their power and freedom to hassle anybody they want as much as they want.
2. It is RARE for police to get any education or training on how to DE-escalate situations - everything is focused on how to apply increasing force, including calling for more, more-heavily armed stasi-wanna-be's. The cops LOVE getting the opportunity to go full-out tactical on people - they don't want to ever de-escalate any situation which could deprive them of the glory of spraying pepper/mace into someone’s eyes/sinuses/lungs, beating a head in with a baton, or shooting 2 or 3 magazine loads at an unarmed person.
I say draft them all, ship them to ISIL, and let them go full-combat there, then replenish the police force with people who put protection of civil rights and de-escalation as their mission and highest priority.
If the police force who are paid to serve and protect have their backs turned on the mayor, he will need to hire his own private security force to prevent accidents due to intentional negligence from happening.
Your cops pretend 9/11 was perpretrated by outsiders while they stood by and let it happen and supported that military coup detat. Why do cops expect any support from the people now? They will get no support
