This is old news about the two planes having similar livery.
At the time it was thought that Putin's plane was on a similar flightpath to MH-17 but it was later confirmed that his plane flew considerably further north of MH-17 back to Moscow.

So now they ADD a dozen A-10 Thunderbolt II ('Warthog') attack jets and about 300 airmen to Germany.
The A-10 Warthog carries a 7-barrel GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling gun, that fires 30mm rounds designed to destroy tanks and other armored combat vehicles.
Somebody define "defensive", when it is a DUAL-use (Offensive and Defensive) weapon. I guess it depends if the ground troops being supported are advancing or retreating.
The deployment comes as the US House of Representatives introduced legislation authorizing $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine through 2017. If authorized, the package would allow the Pentagon to provide to the Ukraine military “training equipment, lethal weapons of a defensive nature, logistics support, supplies and services.”
The provisions of the bill, according to its authors, are designed to protect Ukraine’s “sovereign territory against foreign aggressors,” and defend Ukrainians from attacks by “Russian-backed separatists.”
Western governments, without finding it necessary to substantiate their claims with physical evidence, continue to accuse Russia of supporting rebels in Eastern Ukraine blaming the crisis on Russia. Moscow has vehemently rejected the claims.
At the same time, Moscow is regularly on the receiving end of criticism from Washington even when it holds military exercises on its own territory.
The A-10 is a tough as nails ground support platform, but it has gained its reputation in an environment where the US AirForce had full spectrum domination of the airspace. I suspect it would not fare too well against an environment with a robust air defence posture such as would provide the S-300,400 and 500 or even the less sophisticated Russian offerings, let alone in situations where it has to go against actual modern interceptors.
Think of the A-10 as the modern re-incarnation of the Stuka, sort of. The Stuka thrived when there weren't any enemy fighters overhead.
There is no way Russia will let Ukrainians kill ethnic Russians with NATO weapons. The war will end very quickly with a Russian occupation of Kiev. And then we will see how badly Obama can screw up by escalating the situation even more. I am pretty the next step is ending DC if Obama does not learn from his mistakes or read a history book. Putin isn't going to enter a long drawn out war with the US. It will end the moment Obama makes a move to retaliate.
Here's what is going to happen
1. Obama will give weapons to KIev
2. Immediate invasion of Ukraine by Russia
3. Poroshenko and his other Neo Khazarian crooks will take their private jets to Israel
4. Merkel and Obama get financial sanctions against Russia

Nuclear power stations are not hardened against EMP, and even a reasonably modest yield "city killer" 150kt local detonation produces a significant EMP event. "Wall to Wall Chernobyls", added to the effects of targeted nukes, would certainly make living anywhere quite a challenge.

We're less than two years away from Chinese troops on the West Coast and Russians walking around the East coast. Rome fell and so will USSA.
Although Americans with a taste for Imperial Washington would dispute the Russians right to take any action at all should Washington begin a renewed arms shipment to Kiev's Junta Government, I think there is an argument to made fo their taking some counter action. There was an elected government in Kiev, put there in an election all international election monitors agreed was free, fair and open. Although the Priminester was elected, therre is no doubt he was mega corrupt, but so was the government he replaced. The Washington elites admit in public they spent 5 billion long term, and several billion short term to organize, fund and train the Coup leaders and coup army that attacked in Kiev. The Junta that took over was chosen by the Washington foreign policy elites, again admitted. The present government, can by international law, be judged dubious at best, illegal if you follow the money and evidence trail.
The coup might have worked, except for the large Nazi presence in the heart of the coup leaders and Maidan mobs. They acted recklessly upon taking power, their threats to depopulated Donbass, make Russian language illegal and strip Donbass of any political powers made the rebels actions understandable. Like, what American would accept the deal that the Junta offered the Donbass? Nobody would, so don't even try to lie about that one.
Washington is not backing down, because this is part of the end game to destroy Russia, before American begins to collapse. In fact, the vast country of Russia is probably the ONE thing on earth that American caould conquer and save the empire for another 100 years. We ran out of frontiers, but Russia is a new one. If under US corporate and financial control, Washington could live off of expliting Russian resources for maybe 100-200 more years easily.
If you wre Russian, you would know every word I said above is true and verifiable by fact. So who expectes them to back down? The coup and attempted NATO take over almost succeeded, but Kiev's Nazis ruined it for the USA, they started a civil war BEFORE NATO and the USA could get forces on the ground. Crimea closed it's borders the day before the coup, and used armed locals to close all traffic into Crimea. While Sevastopol Russian military secured the whole Crimea. They voted and left Coup Ukraine. NO coup, and Crimea would not have left.
Russia is now offered a clear choice by Obama, the nobel peace man, either surrender, hand over 8+ million eithnic Russian living in east Ukraine only because of communist USSR border lines. This will not happen. The ghost of the USSR is being slain right now. Oddly, it is the USA who favors USSR borders, not historical borders.
Obama is likely to use his new strength in congress with his allies in the republican party to go all in. Why do I say America is nearing a collapse economically? Because ONLY that fear could drive Washington to threaten world nuclear war, in order to secure the Russian lands for the US empire. We have always needed frontiers to keep growing, therre are none left. Russia is tempting to take, before the real imperial war begins against China.
There is a 1% who live in and off of Washington DC, they leech off of our taxes, theu spy on our every move, they own all media, they design our education systems, they own assets equal to the 99%, they own and operate the 1 trillion dollar a year military industrial complex.
We are playing an End Game here. Washington either prevails over Moscow now, or Washington will never be capable in decades to come of taking down China and creating the one world government centered in Washington, and run by the usual suspects.

Funny you should bring up the ghost of the USSR, because I've been thinking about it lately with regards to the current situation. The USSR was dismantled, intentionally, from within, in a way that has very few historical precedents. Rather than engaging in a nuclear war to save the last of their dying empire, they deliberately surrendered it in order to preserve Russia. I wonder what the odds are that the US(S)A will capitulate rather than rolling all the dice to get a known apocalyptic outcome?
You make a great point! The way the internal USSR took itself apart is a "one off" historical act of great bravery and skill. The Khazarian empire version 1.0 was the USSR. Good analysis. I don't think Washington wants to conquer Russia militarily, at least not yet. Economically yes. They would love to see economic instability in Russia cause Putin to be run out of office and, of course, replaced with a NWO puppet. If that doesn't happen, and so far it has not, they lose this game. They may try to ratchet things up in Ukraine in an attempt to draw Putin in. I just don't think this is going to happen though. The end of the USSR left large ethinc Russian populations in many of the former republics of the USSR. The Baltics in particular have significant ethnic Russian populations. This is a tense situation for both sides. Baltics have tiny populations and not big birth rates, plus a lot of inter Europe migration by their educated youth. It is not a good situation for Baltics. But they are now EU nations and governened by muilti cultural mulit ethnic laws. Take the UK for example, or my former home land Sweden, bothhave the hundreds of thousands or pennyless Africans, Asians, and Middle Easterners.

Whether NATO is ready to move to conventional war with Russia in Eastern Europe is unknown. Many European nations who are weary of sanctions may resent protecting a non-NATO member.
