There will be no peace deal. Putin has Crimea, now he needs Kiev to complete the unification for the Russian Orthodox Church. Once he rallies the support from the Orthodox Church he will really begin his plans. Same game plan as Hitler. Just because we can't restore the world to 'factory condition', it doesn't mean we can't make periodic adjustments when needed. In the case of a nuclear Russia moving to secure a strategic region in a collapsing neighboring country they have long-standing interests in, I'd say there was a need for the adjustment.

Why would Russia officialy attack Ukraine? Putin officially has denied any link to terrorists ( http://widerimage.reuters.com/story/a-death-in-kramatorsk ) in east Ukraine. If it is so and he has no connection with them, than there is no problem if those terrorists are eliminated and civilians set free from russian terrorist occupation.
