Since 9/11, The U.S. Has Been Involved In More Than 5 Wars … And They’ve All Been Disasters
Below, we demonstrate that the U.S. keeps “losing” war after war.
There are 3 potential reasons this might be happening:
- Is this chaos an intentional way to implement regime change and grab resources?
- Or is this a sign of the decline of the American empire … and we just can’t win a war anymore?
- Or do those in charge just not really give a damn about winning … and are they just focusing on one short-term goal after another?
We’ll let you decide why you think this keeps happening. But if you don’t believe that the U.S. has been losing its recent wars, read on …
U.S. Keeps Messing Up
We noted last year:
Since 2001, the U.S. has undertaken regime change in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya.
All 3 countries are now in chaos … and extremists are more in control than ever.
Iraq
In Iraq, hardcore Islamic jihadis known as ISIS have taken over much of the country – shown in red as the new “Islamic State” or self-described caliphate – using captured American weapons:
USA Today notes: “Iraq is already splitting into three states“.
Christians are being rounded up and killed, and Christian leaders in Iraq say the end of Christianity in Iraq is “very near”. But as we documented in 2012, Saddam Hussein – for all his faults – was a secular leader who tolerated Christians.
Libya
Libya has also descended into absolute chaos. We reported in 2012:
Al Qaeda is now largely in control of Libya. Indeed, Al Qaeda flags were flown over the Benghazi courthouse once Gaddafi was toppled.
(This is – again – in contrast to toleration of Christians under Gadaffi.)
The Guardian noted in March:
According to Amnesty International, the “mounting curbs on freedom of expression are threatening the rights Libyans sought to gain“. A repressive Gaddafi-era law has been amended to criminalise any insults to officials or the general national congress (the interim parliament). One journalist, Amara al-Khattabi, was put on trial for alleging corruption among judges. Satellite television stations deemed critical of the authorities have been banned, one station has been attacked with rocket-propelled grenades, and journalists have been assassinated.
***
Ever since the fall of [Gadaffi’s] dictatorship, there have been stories of black Libyans being treated en masse as Gaddafi loyalists and attacked. In a savage act of collective punishment, 35,000 people were driven out of Tawergha in retaliation for the brutal siege of the anti-Gaddafi stronghold of Misrata. The town was trashed and its inhabitants have been left in what human rights organisations are calling “deplorable conditions” in a Tripoli refugee camp. Such forced removals continue elsewhere. Thousands have been arbitrarily detained without any pretence of due process; and judges, prosecutors, lawyers and witnesses have been attacked or even killed. Libya’s first post-Gaddafi prosecutor general, Abdulaziz Al-Hassadi, was assassinated in the town of Derna last month.
***
When residents of Benghazi – the heartland of the revolution – protested against militia rule in June last year, 32 people were killed in what became known as “Black Saturday”. In another protest in Tripoli last November, 46 died and 500 were injured.
Under militia rule, Libya is beginning to disintegrate. Last summer forces under the command of the warlord Ibrahim Jadran took control of eastern oil terminals …. These forces which hijacked a oil tanker this month, prompting threats from Libya’s prime minister that it would be bombed until US forces captured it this weekend. Clashes have broken out in Jadran’s home town of Ajdabiya. In painful echoes of Iraq’s nightmare, a car bomb exploded at a Benghazi military base last week and killed at least eight soldiers, and Libya’s main airport was shut on Friday after a bomb exploded on its runway.
One of the great perversities of the so-called war on terror is that fundamentalist Islamist forces have flourished as a direct consequence of it. Libya is no exception, even though such movements often have little popular support. The Muslim Brotherhood and other elements are better organised than many of their rivals, helping to remove the prime minister, push through legislation, and establish alliances with opportunistic militias.
Ominously, Libya’s chaos is spilling across the region. The country is awash with up to 15 million rifles and other weapons, and a report by the UN panel of experts this month found that “Libya has become a primary source of illicit weapons“. These arms are fuelling chaos in 14 countries, including Somalia, the Central African Republic, Nigeria and Niger.
***
There is a real prospect of the country collapsing into civil war or even breaking up. Unless there are negotiated settlements to its multiple problems, Libya will surely continue its descent into mayhem, and the region could be dragged into the mire with it.
No wonder western governments and journalists who hailed the success of this intervention are so silent. But here are the consequences of their war, and they must take responsibility for them.
28-year CIA veteran Paul Pillar – who rose to be one of the agency’s top analysts – wrote in May:
Just when one might have thought the mess in Libya could not have gotten worse, it has.
***
Saudi Arabia and several other Arab states have evacuated their diplomats from Libya, the United States is preparing for possible evacuation of U.S. personnel, and the country appears on the brink of a larger civil war.
***
Those in Libya closest to being called secular liberals seem to be associated with military officers of the old regime.
***
The intervention already has negatively affected U.S. interests, particularly in providing a disincentive to other regimes to do what Gaddafi did in negotiating an end to involvement in terrorism and an end to production of unconventional weapons.
And things have only gotten worse since then … and Benghazi has fallen to the jihadis.
(It should be remembered that the U.S. helped sew the seeds of chaos in several ways. Not only did we engage in direct military intervention against Gadafi, but also – as confirmed by a group of CIA officers – armed Al Qaeda so that they would help topple Gaddafi.)
Afghanistan
Opium production is at an all-time high under the American occupation of Afghanistan.
And the New York Times reports this week that the Taliban are currently making huge gains in Afghanistan … in some cases expanding even beyond their traditional areas of influence prior to 2001:
The Taliban have found success beyond their traditional strongholds in the rural south and are now dominating territory near crucial highways and cities that surround Kabul, the capital, in strategic provinces like Kapisa and Nangarhar.
U.S. troops are just now leaving, and so the worst may be still to come. In addition – as we discuss below – the U.S. previously imposed regime change on Afghanistan … and the results were bad.
History Repeats
The U.S. carried out regime change in Iran in 1953 … which led to radicalization in the country. Specifically, the CIA admits that the U.S. overthrew the moderate, suit-and-tie-wearing, Democratically-elected prime minister of Iran in 1953. (He was overthrown because he had nationalized Iran’s oil, which had previously been controlled by BP and other Western oil companies). As part of that action, the CIA admits that it hired Iranians to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its prime minister.
If the U.S. hadn’t overthrown the moderate Iranian government, the fundamentalist Mullahs would have never taken over. Iran has been known for thousands of years for tolerating Christians and other religious minorities.
Hawks in the U.S. government been pushing for another round of regime change in Iran for decades.
Hillary Clinton and then-president Jimmy Carter’s National Security Adviser have both admitted on the record that the U.S. previously carried out regime change in Afghanistan in the 1970s by backing Bin Laden and the Mujahadin … the precursor to Al Qaeda.
And look how that turned out.
Syria
The U.S. has heavily backed the Islamic rebels in Syria in an attempt to implement regime change in that country. The result?
As shown by the map above, they’ve taken a third of the country as part of their “caliphate”
And the jihadis are now busily crucifying, beheading and slitting the throats of Christians. (Yup, Syria was previously known for tolerating Christians.)
***
We can probably add Ukraine to the list of regime changed countries falling into chaos and murderous extremism, given that:
- The U.S. State Department spent more than $5 billion dollars in pushing Ukraine away from Russia
- The U.S. ambassador to Ukraine (Geoffrey Pyatt) and assistant Secretary of State (Victoria Nuland) were recorded plotting the downfall of the former Ukraine government in a leaked recording
- Top-level U.S. officials literally handed out cookies to the protesters who overthrew the Ukrainian government
- The U.S. has been backing – militarily as well as monetarily – the Neo-Nazis who have plunged the country into chaos
Since then, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Ukraine have descended into still more hellish levels of chaos.
The U.S.-backed government in Ukraine is starting to lose the civil war.
Many of the U.S.-backed rebels in Syria have joined ISIS. And most of the weapons given to the “moderate” rebels have ended up in ISIS and Al Qaeda’s hands.
Mother Jones adds Yemen to the list:
So here’s my scorecard for American military interventions since 2000:
- Afghanistan: A disaster. It’s arguable that Afghanistan is no worse off than it was in 2001, but after losing thousands of American lives and spending a trillion American dollars, it’s no better off either. [Since the government has put a gag order on all military information, it’s hard to know what’s really going on.]
- Iraq: An even bigger disaster. Saddam Hussein was a uniquely vicious dictator, but even at that there’s not much question that Iraq is worse off than it was in 2003. We got rid of Saddam, but got a dysfunctional sectarian government and ISIS in return.
- Libya: Another disaster. We got rid of Muammar Qaddafi, but got a Somalia-level failed state in return.
- Yemen: Yet another disaster. After years of drone warfare, Houthi rebels have taken over the government. This appears to be simultaneously a win for Iran, which backs the rebels, and al-Qaeda, which may benefit from the resulting chaos. That’s quite a twofer.
What a sorry track record …

Those wars were nothing compared to the Indo China war. Americans KIA/WIA/MIA in a six month period at the height of that war would compare to all the small scale wars combined since 1992. And our reasoning was no less, maybe less justified than the 1992, and 2003/4 wars since VN had no true strategic/vital nat'l security interests involved. The Viet Nam war resulted in a fundamental shift in American political thought...a far more domestically leftist result.
falconflight
Vietnam did turn public opinion against costly (to the US) military engagements.
Brzezinski had warned in the Grand Chessboard that overseas imperialism requires the stifling of domestic dissent.
But there was no "leftist" shift for TPTB. For them, the "lesson learned" was to stifle dissent by censoring news, increased propaganda, and "smarter, more efficient" militarism.
The collapse of the Soviet Union brought no anticipated so-called peace dividend, but instead merely allowed TPTB in the uni-power US to increase assets and weaponry to engage in small scale warfare and subversion.
The lack of any anti-war movement today comparable to the sixties indicates that the public has not embraced any "leftist" anti-war ideology. Instead, most protestors then protested because they believed it was not an "efficient" use of imperial resources (i.e. in modern parlance, a too-costly-to-the-US "wrong war"). TPTB have since learned how to stifle domestic anti-war sentiment.
Beliefs how best to maintain and expand the empire were never "leftist" positions, then or now.
See my earlier comment as to why the (traditionally costly) undertaking of territorial conquest and occupation are not necessarily desired by TPTB, and certainly not desired to achieve any of the specious propaganda "goals" of spreading democracy or reducing "terrorism".
The lack of anti-war movement today is more about the military being all volunteer. Besides, the president is the anti-war hero of the left. He doesn't fight wars; he just destabilizes entire regions and hauls ass.
I can't help but be reminded of some of the 'losers' at my high school who ran afoul of the law and were given the choice to 'volunteer' instead of going to prison.
I'm betting most of them regret the choice.
Before we got heavily involved, a CIA intelligence report indicated that the people of Viet Nam wanted no western powers to be involved and the percentage of thevietnamese populace who were against our involvement was approximately 86%. This report was not distributed and now we are aware that the gulf of Tonkin situation was hampered by incorrect translation of communications by our Crypto teams and when this was brought to their attention, the first translation was allowed to stand. This means that these people along with, I beleive NSA, are responsible for the deaths of 58 thousand U.S. sevicemen and innumerable victims in Viet Nam. I suppose that the military industrial corporations had the same reponse as Madeleine Allbiright: "We felt it was worth it". What sort of people were in charge and what group of individuals with the most assets in that country had the most to gain? With eight years in the Navy and six at sea as an engineroom supervisor on nuclear subs, I am aghast at what the leaders of our country think is patriotic behaviour. What do the the Iraqi people think of our commitment to honorable actions?
"now we are aware that the gulf of Tonkin situation was hampered by incorrect translation of communications by our Crypto teams "
Are you nuts?????????????????
The entire Gulf of Tonkin incident was fabricated --- the original pilots came out --- after retirement, of course --- and admitted as much!
Geez, let's not muddy the waters of truth here please!
Our military acted honorably-our leader threw away their sacrifices and our treasury. God help this nation.

Clark doesn't tell the whole truth but he says enough. I question whether Wesley Clark is unaware of the actual command structure. He's merely in another faction of the globalist gang.
Until we focus on the individuals whose hand is manipulating these sock puppets we will continue to lose our asses.
'Tribes' in every one if these countries have been fighting each other for millennia. US puppetry worked in the past because we accepted a strong armed dictator to take control and crush the opposition in those countries. Today, we back minorities who have no hope of ruling, or backing thugs who do not know how to rule.
The article lists three possible reasons for the characteristics of US military escapades.
There is a fourth option
actually, it is to maintain/attain economic supremacy
by destroying rival economies and potential rivals
sometimes the US gets to control or acquire resources/markets
sometimes it just destroys/prevents others from using/having
Pentagon full spectrum dominance doctrine clearly states the goal is to PREVENT the rise of any power that could rival US

"full spectrum dominance"
is full spectrum psychosis.
that is private fiat money.
Matt 24: 4 In answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads you, 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. 9 “Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold. 13 But the one who has endured to the end will be saved. 14 And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Get rid of your New Age counterfeit, and get the King James BIBLE.
Get back to us when you KNOW something, moron.
Learn to read Aramaic or shut the fuck up.
If you call a man a fool you are in danger of hell fire.
Check out the differences in words and spellings between the KJ 1611 and the many KJ versions since. The original KJ had the apocrypha.I still prefer the KJ because of all the reference books like Strongs which are linked only to the KJ but people can be saved through other versions.
I always get a kick out of bible thumpers on ZH.
They'll "turn their cheek" in fight club.
All four of em.
Perhaps.
Perhaps it is to their advantage to keep you thinking that.
You would like to follow someone who promotes the use of alcohol and slavery? Do your homework please. The christian religion is an amalgamation of the various sun worshipping religions that preceeded it. Also this religion chose to abandon the law against usury. Read the book "Usury in Christendom" subtitled "the mortal sin that was and is not now".
Jesus said to "Lend hoping for nothing in return" That means NO interest. Christ drank but preached against drunkeness. There is a.difference. Christians were the leading abolitionists in Great Britain and America.
Curiously, the slavers prayed to the very same god.
Say what you want about the Christian "religion" --- whatever that means --- but Christ kicked out the money-changers and paid with his life. That is some pretty heavy shit given that it was the ONLY time he ever acted violent. The intent of such an act transcends ALL of humanity.
I can not think of any other "religion" that can offer such a savior or prophet.
He pissed off the wrong Saducees and the Romans batted clean up to keep Jewish hands clean. No more, no less.

Just saying . . .
"Many false prophets will arise and mislead many;"
Yup!
And they are all in today's modern churches...misleading!
The oldest book on the Art of War starts by saying that "success in war is based on deceit," and ends by saying "spies are the most important soldiers."
E-book version of Sun Tzu's Art of War:
http://www.artofwarsuntzu.com/Art of War PDF.pdf
Page 4, point 18.
All warfare is based on deception.
Page 17, point 15:
In war, practice dissimulation, and you will succeed.

THE USE OF SPIES ... 8. When these five kinds of spy are all at work, none can discover the secret system. This is called “divine manipulation of the threads.” It is the sovereign’s most precious faculty. ... 10. Having inward spies, making use of officials of the enemy. ... 18. Be subtle! be subtle! and use your spies for every kind of business. ...

The Art of War PART 1That was an hour and a half long documentary The Art of War Sun Tsu. It was another sensationalized for TV type show, but nevertheless, basically interesting material! It splices together the history of Sun Tzu, discussing the battles that he fought, and then reviews things that he wrote down, in context of American military history in Vietnam war, and D-Day invasion, and American civil war, as examples ...
Similarly, here is a link to a biased BBC article about Russian wars based on deception, which deliberately ignores that the British Empire was even more so. Indeed, the best of all systems of organized crime during relatively recent times has been the Anglo-American (Zionist) Empire. (Recall that the British Empire was controlled by the Rothschilds, since they captured control over the Bank of England at the end of the Napoleonic Wars, and the international bankers recaptured control over the American government during the previous Century or so.)

How Russia outfoxes its enemies
"All human history can be portrayed as the history of deception."
Nothing "political" has changed,
EXCEPT, technologies becoming
trillions of times more powerful.
Obviously, war was based on deception,
& spies were the most important soldiers.
What is not obvious is what happens to
the methods of war, after the weapons
become billions, and trillions, of times
more powerful than any previous era?
Human realities are systems of organized lies operating robberies, because human beings operate as entropic pumps of energy. All private property is based on backing up claims with coercions. Money is measurement backed by murder, because the debt controls depend upon the death controls. Our entire civilization is based on thousands of years of the development of social successes based on deceits and the treachery of spies. Natural selection was internalized as human intelligence, and that was applied through systems of artificial selection, wherein the main manifestations were the applications of the principles and methods of organized crime on larger and larger scales, through sciences enabling better technologies, in order to be even more dishonest and back that up with more violence.
Along the way, the biggest bullies' bullshit social stories became almost totally dominate, including by controlling the opposition groups to the established systems, which were based on being the most successful organized crime. All of the socially significant religions and ideologies were co-opted and compromised to operate within the same frame of reference as the biggest bullies' bullshit world view, and therefore, promote impossible ideals that always make the opposite happen in the real world.
There is nothing surprising about 9/11 being
false flag deceptions designed to start wars.
9/11 was done by deceitful spies, to trick us.
Unfortunately, it has almost totally worked.
9/11 is nothing new in the methods of war.
The ruling classes use the same methods to control those they rule over as they do to fight other outside groups. The pyramidion people in the social pyramid systems developed expedient sets of solutions to resolve chronic political problems in ways that benefited them. Since there is almost nothing but organized crime, surrounded by controlled opposition groups, we almost never see better public debates about these issues, (expect maybe by a small fringe posting comments of some fringe Web sites.)
The first level of radical truths are to recognize that governments are necessarily the biggest form of organized, necessarily controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals. The next level of radical truths is to attempt to promote genuine solutions, which must necessarily be based on better organized crime operating better death controls.
Warfare was always organized crime on a larger scale. That problem goes as far back in time as any animal life, because animal life operates as entropic pumps of energy flows. That became more and more acute as the human experiment with bigger brains progressed. Militarism is the supreme ideology, and it deserves to be. Militarism is the ideology of the murder system. It manifests the most extreme form of the ways that natural selection became internalized as human intelligence, which was primarily applied through cultural artificial selection systems, which were primarily driven to develop through history due to warfare.
I REPEAT that economics is actually a subset of warfare, because the production of destruction controls production. Success in warfare was based on deceits and spies, while financial success became based upon frauds and treacheries. However, those historical forms of social successes have become runaway criminal insanities, because of the social pyramid systems being amplified to astronomical sizes by advances in physical sciences, while no such similar progress was achieved in political science.
I promote what may only be regarded as political science fiction and fantasy, that we need a series of intellectual scientific revolutions that could be applied to political science in general, and to the combined money/murder systems in particular. The intense PARADOX there is that we would have to develop a more self-conscious political science, that could cope with the problems that the history of the most socially successful combined money/murder systems were always based on the maximum possible deceits and frauds.
To surmount the PARADOX that the best developed social science and form of social engineering has been warfare, whose successes were based on deceits and spies, then also applies to the PARADOX that the best developed forms of economics had their successes based on frauds and treacheries. Understanding how and why all of wars that Americans have engaged in since 9/11 should START by recognizing that 9/11 events were inside job, false flag attacks, whose purposes were to start more genocidal wars, as well as prepared to impose democidal martial law. (That mostly explains a lot of the apparent ways that those wars have turned out to be "disasters.")
However, STARTING that way barely scratches the surface of the bigger problems of human evolutionary ecology, after there has been a series of profound paradigm shifts in physical sciences, so that things like quantum mechanics and the special theory of relativity made technologies like electronics and atomic energy possible (while that was primarily applied to build systems of debt slavery backed by wars based on deceits, to become globalized electronic monkey money frauds, backed by the threat of force from apes with atomic bombs.)
IF we were going to understand the history of American involvements in warfare better, that would take developing an overall better theory of warfare, or developing better militarism, in order to develop better systems of death controls, as better forms of artificial selection, within the overall context of the evolutionary ecologies of natural selection. Of course, pretty well nobody is able and willing to do that, while their immediate social successes depends upon continuing to back up deceits and frauds with violent forces. The magnitude of paradigm shifts which would be theoretically necessary for human beings to develop better political science, that could survive the progress already achieved from paradigm shifts in physical sciences, appears to be many orders of magnitude too BIG to be practically possible.
What is the most realistic thing to expect is that the patterns of genocidal wars, along with democidal martial law, will become many orders of magnitude worse in the foreseeable future. My opinion is that the ruling classes are planning to cause conditions to deteriorate sufficiently to cause death insanities in the form of wars and martial law that murders the majority of the human population during the next century or so ... Meanwhile, the only genuinely possible better resolutions would require developing different systems of death controls, based on radical changes in the conceptualization of death controls. However, that would require enough military people to make a kind of quantum leap in their understanding of the history of militarism. Furthermore, that would have to reverberate throughout all aspects of the political economy.
At present, the established debt slavery systems ARE driving their numbers to become DEBT INSANITIES, and those ARE threatening to provoke DEATH INSANITIES. Those are the real forces impinging up human beings to maybe eventually select for changes in the current artificial selection systems. Those impinge upon America the most, since America still has the world's reserve currency, and the biggest military force in the world. However, that has resulted in the combined American money/murder systems becoming the most psychotic in the world. I would like to propose some sorts of social psychiatry in that context. However, the world has become an insane asylum controlled by the most criminally insane inmates, who are extremely resistant to any treatments based on more radical truths, despite that more radical truths are the only theoretically possible genuine solutions to the various problems which have become disastrous runaway criminal insanities.
As always, blessings and grace for sharing your light good One.
"However, the world has become an insane asylum controlled by the most criminally insane inmates, who are extremely resistant to any treatments based on more radical truths,"
Deception. Radical Truth. Criminally insane.
ISIS was created by the CIA and Mossad:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQkYtmewSpQ
Yes, Victory_Garden, that is what I believe was originally the case with ISIS. Furthermore, it is my suspicion that the longer range plans are to deliberately drive and enable ISIS to become such a serious situation that it will appear to become justified to use weapons of mass destruction to mass murder them, as well most of the rest of the civilian populations which happen to also be there.
Even worse, there are reasons to believe that those who deliberately get these self-fulfilling prophesies going do not overlook serious blowback:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blowback_%28intelligence%29
They are actually counting on that, in order to have more excuses to double down on the domestic martial law, to match the foreign wars. Personally, I find it extremely difficult to comprehend the motivation of mass murderers. I can intellectually and abstractly understand the history that selected for the most psychopathic and sociopathic people to end up the pyramidion people in the social pyramid systems. However, I cannot emotionally comprehend the lack of compassion that seems necessary to mass murder people.
One can relatively understand people who commit crimes for profit, but not so easily understand those who commit crimes for their own sake. But nevertheless, I regard the events on 9/11/2001 as having being like "investments" in mass murder, which were designed to pay back in more mass murders in the future.
All of the wars since 9/11 were basically banksters' wars. While I may be able to approach understanding making orders of magnitude more money through murders, I can barely approach understanding the minds of people who appear to engage in mass murders for their own sake.
In my view, the world has already seriously gone through exponential growth into a serious state of overshooting whatever might have been more sustainable. Thus, there appears to be a great "die-off" coming, due to having high-graded ourselves to hell, by making "money" out of nothing to "pay" for strip-mining the planet's natural resources.
It looks to me that the ONLY plans that the ruling classes have prepared for that eventuality were to advance their agenda of false flag attacks, to start more genocidal wars, and prepare to impose democidal martial law. Since the established systems are almost nothing but organized crime and its controlled opposition, it currently appears practically impossible to have any sane public debates about any limits to growth. Without SOME better death controls, then the previous exponential growth, vastly overshooting, must result in a vast die-off, which looks like it will not necessarily be so much due to divine nor natural causes, but rather driven by man-made causes, in the form of mass murders.
If we stay on the paths were are now on, then those lead to ISIS, etc., having weapons of mass destruction used against them, which will have the flip side of blowback driven, democidal martial law.
In general, the established systems of financial enforced frauds enable people to maintain attitudes of evil deliberate ignorance to some of the basic laws of nature.
Similarly to believe in the official story about the events on 9/11/2001, one has to deliberately ignore the basic laws of physics regarding gravity and the structural properties of steel, and so on ... That fits into the overall social situation that the combined money/murder systems have become absurd State Religions. I do not think I am exaggerating to assert that our civilization has become almost completely crazy, as demonstrated by the HUGE LIES that one has to accept in order to believe the official story regarding what happened on 9/11.
ALL OF THE WARS SINCE 9/11 were based on deceits backed by destruction. Those DISASTERS are related to the same reasons the financial systems of enforced frauds are developing DISASTERS, which are the contradictions that backing lies with violence, or enforcing frauds, never makes those lies become true, and never stops those frauds from being false.
The more that society is controlled by systems of legalized lies backed by legalized violence, the more psychotically insane that society becomes. Americans have been the victims of the best scientific brainwashing that money could buy. However, that only has driven American society to become more psychotically insane both in its foreign affairs, as well as in its domestic policies.
What is WORSE is that beyond the social polarization driven by events like 9/11, those kinds of attitudes of evil deliberate ignorance apply just as much to the overall destruction of the natural world, and the ways that our civilization was controlled by a fundamentally fraudulent financial account system to waste the maximum amount of natural resources. The military imperatives of backing up deceits with destruction have dominated the world economic systems, so that making weapons, and the illegal drug trade, are supposed to be the most profitable businesses, BUT ONLY WITHIN AN OVERALL CRIMINALLY INSANE ACCOUNTING SYSTEM.
THE BOOKS WERE COOKED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. For sure, "War is a Racket." However, it has become many orders of magnitude more of a criminally insane racket than it was back in Smedley Butler's time. Moreover, that situation continues to automatically get worse, faster ... while, apart from a few insightful comments posted on a few Web sites, the overall observations that I can make are that our society is mostly becoming even more criminally insane!
It is way too mind boggling to try to imagine what kinds of politics would be provoked IF enough Americans realized the degree to which they had been brainwashed to believe in bullshit by the ruling classes! Of course, that is why the ruling classes have been so busy preparing to impose democidal martial law, as well as working towards getting different groups of Americans to start mass murdering each other.
At the present time, all the established systems, and their controlled opposition groups, almost totally agree to stay within the same frame of reference of bullshit about 9/11, and pretty well everything else! Meanwhile those established systems of deceits backed by destruction, or enforced frauds, continue to become more blatantly obvious, backfiring disasters.
HOWEVER, THE DEEPER PROBLEMS THEN ARISE THAT KIND OF BAD BLOWBACK MIGHT WELL BE WHAT WAS ALWAYS INTENDED TO BE THE RESULT, BECAUSE THE LONGER TERM AGENDA IS TO BE ABLE TO ENGAGE IN ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE MORE GENOCIDES AND DEMOCIDES THAN EVER BEFORE!
RM, I would be curious to hear how you think this might play out domestically.
I share similar sentiments, and have arrived at similar conclusions myself - avoiding where possible getting pulled in the weeds (pardon the cannibus pun! ha ha). At the surface, it really does appear rather academic... unfortunately. Exponential growth to which there are no alternatives lest we manage to get beyond our current floating rock en masse and quickly (unlikely at best). So, we are bacteria in a petri dish, with consciousness and weapons. Ugly truths per se about human nature, which really have not changed much in millenia. Only the scale of the pickles we get ourselves into.
Did you notice the article recently wherein Hawkin is now worried about aggression being our downfall? Fits right into the narrative here.
EPIC post, brother! Love it!!
If this is the way it is turning out it is because it was planned to.
Opium production is at an all-time high under the American occupation of Afghanistan....
OF COURSE. That's why the US went into Afghanistan. The Taliban had almost eliminated Opium production (and with it heroin). Mucho lost profits for the US Intelligence services..... so... now after a dozen years of US presence we have record amounts of heroin on the street - Afghan opium processed in Kosovo into Heroin and shipped via the latest iteration of Air America..... Vietnam/Laos/Golden Triangle redux
Notice how OXY was readily available during the times of heroin shortages - with a crackdown on prescription 'fraud' timed to take place just as heroin availability once again came back....... nothing is a 'coincidence'.....
You really have to admire the evil genius behind it all - you've got the masses BUYING their own SOMA - and committing illegal acts in doing so - allowing the state to lock them up if it so desires.
Imperial powers have controlled both sides of the drug trade for centuries. But "they" don't really exist anymore in the minds of the "educated" ones.
A television ducumentary stated that the Taliban was promoting the growing of opium prior to our involvement. Funny, I thought it was well established that the Taliban had devastated the opium production and decided not to make any deals to protect our planned pipeline. Perhaps the reports of what they said while they visited Texas Oil men were misreported. We have always been at war with oceania. Orwell was a prophet of sorts.
These wars are not stared and propagated to win. They are ONLY for profiteering of the banksters and assorted lowlife below them that also receive the trickle down from all that money that is created to pay for it all. One need simply ask, do you make more money in a one year war, or a ten year protracted war? Death and destruction is just a side effect to those who do not care who dies or lives. It's only about the profits, silly rabbit.
The Shock Doctrine.

"... Washington’s empire extracts resources from the American people for the benefit of the few powerful interest groups that rule America. The military-security complex, Wall Street, agribusiness and the Israel lobby use the government to extract resources from Americans to serve their profits and power. The U.S. Constitution has been extracted in the interests of the security state, and Americans’ incomes have been redirected to the pockets of the 1 percent. That is how the American empire functions. ... In this new empire, success at war no longer matters. The extraction takes place by being at war. Huge sums of American taxpayers’ money have flowed into the American armaments industries and huge amounts of power into the Department of Homeland Security. The American empire works by stripping Americans of wealth and liberty."
No truer words were ever spoken......but.... let's get back to the political/financial soap opera.......it's sooooooooooo much more entertaining!
The answer is obvious! The suppliers of military equipment get paid MORE when they lose, because losing is always justifiction to spend more money on more supplies and equipment for longer.
Plus, it leaves the place a mess, thereby leaving a further justification to "go in again" at some point in the near to medium future.
War is a racket. Remember that phrase.
Well, the main reason war is a racket is... it converts dead people into money for the executives of military industrial complex corporations.
Simple as that.
George forgot to mention Vietnam. I am sure the manufacturers of Agent Orange and Napalm loved that war and the sales people who sold it to the government to use on the innocents.
I am tired of the USA and every countries war machines, especially when they are out of control, like America's is.
The show youtube clips of ISIS and other atrocities but don't show the dead or maimed drone victims. What difference does it make if a drone is responsible for losing a head or being burned or a blade/match in a crazy person's hand?
The Peter Principle, "What happens if social workers end poverty?," applies to the military, the arms suppliers and the politicians. War provides glory for those in such need.
Exactly.
Work yourself right out of a job.
We can't cure it, but take this pill........
Edit, by the way Reaper, I don't think that is the Peter Principal. But you made your point.
Peter Principal , getting promoted to your level of incompetence.
Just a slight difference on your take - the MIC - make more when there is no winner - means it goes on and on. War on Terror - IS -'never a win as there is no entity to win against. That being said - agree with you all in
