Provocation? NATO Conducts Military Maneuvers 300 Yards From Russia's Border

When a Russian bomber flew over international waters some 25 miles off the southwest tip of England last week, UK Defense Secretary Michael Fallon called Russia "a real and present danger." The UK government scrambled jet fighters to meet the Russian aircraft as a show of force.
Said Secretary Fallon of the incident, "NATO has to be ready for any kind of aggression from Russia, whatever form it takes." He added that, "NATO is getting ready," warning particularly that Russia may soon move to invade the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Reading the feverish Twitter feed of NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Gen. Phil Breedlove, one would get the impression that NATO is already at war with Russia. Fighter jets sit menacingly atop aircraft carriers as the General beams about NATO member countries' commitment to contribute to the fight.

The message is clear: Russia is about to attack! NATO has, for no understandable reason, found itself in Russia's crosshairs. NATO cannot figure out how it is that Russia could possibly feel threatened by its actions, which, unlike Russia's are not in the slightest provocative.

Yet yesterday US combat vehicles conducted a military parade and show of military force in Estonia just 300 yards -- yards! -- from the Russian border. That is just over 60 miles from downtown St. Petersburg.

This is not a provocation, we are to believe. This is not a "real and present danger" to Russia. NATO is exempt from the rules it imposes on its enemies.
In the Guardian's review of a new book by Politics professor George Sakwa, the current fallout from a near quarter century of post-Cold War NATO policies is perfectly captured:

The American government in Kiev is now facing a backlash, and America is not at all bashful of calling out the cops!
"The "Financial Maidan" was a protest staged at the National Bank of Ukraine to protest the crash of the hryvnya and the resulting impoverishment of masses of people. Earlier in the day, Kiev mayor Klichko accused the demonstrators of being "Russian provocateurs" and expressed puzzlement as to why anyone would protest higher utility costs and prices, as well as lower wages. Then he unleashed riot police on the demonstrators. Note that the demonstrators are quite unlike the "European Maidan" ones, in that you don't see masked thugs waving neo-Nazi banners, only ordinary people suffering from the policies of the government. Judging by the high emotions, one should expect a repeat in the coming days. Possibly on a larger scale.
You can sense, however, that European values have taken root in Ukraine! Shortly after the 5:00 mark, one of the police kindly informs the demonstrators that "if anyone hits us, we'll shoot. I'm just telling you." No, there will be none of the Yanukovych-style brutality.
On the other hand, when one of the protesters asks the police "aren't you concerned that what you are doing right now might be declared unlawful by the next government?", the police don't seem to have an answer..."
Somehow, CNN missed reporting this story. So did BBC. So did MSNBC. So did FOX. So did SKY. Blindness? Or willful supression?

If you go to 2:31 on the clip you will see some armored vehicles.
These are also absolutely not US vehicles.
Notice that they have seven road wheels, a wedge-shaped fuselage, and a rather small gun. Also, there are TWO hatches in the turret. And notice that the turret is set well back on the vehicle, behind the mid-point. The US has nothing like these.
The closest thing I've ever seen was a BMP-3. So I decided to review all the world's vehicles that match this description and I have two candidates:

2) A Swedish CV-90. You can compare photos here: http://www.militaryfactory.com/armor/detail.asp?armor_id=514
On balance, I don't know where this video was taken. And given the other claims and anomalies with it I would not want to rush to judgement. The Swedes don't have any 6-wheeled vehicles like those in the first part of the clip... but as far as I know neither do the Russians. BTR's have 8 wheels...just like US Strykers, LAV-25's and similar vehicles throughout the world.
Given that the vehicles themselves are not identified, it seems premature to attribute them to any particular country.
And if we can't identify the nationality of the vehicles, then the location of filiming would be equally questionable.
Those are absolutely, positively, not US vehicles.

Another detail caught my eye.
Firstly...there is grass on the ground, and only a tiny amount of snow in this clip.
Last time I was in St Peterburg at this time of year, everything was snow-white.
So, I decided to check a bunch of Estonian web cams to see if they look like that, (grass with only a little snow).
