NATO Launches "Wide-Scale" War Games Near Russian Border, Creates "Line Of Troops"
Washington looks to be throwing more than the full faith and credit of the US government behind Ukraine. On the heels of news that the US is set to guarantee a Ukrainian international bond issue (while Greek pensioners implicitly subsidize the country’s natural gas exports), NATO is in the midst of conducting large scale military maneuvers along the Russian border in a move Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says encourages “Kiev to pursue a military solution.” Over the course of 10 days, NATO will parade 120 combat vehicles across the region in an effort to prove how quickly the West can confront perceived Russian aggression. Here’s more from Military News:
The [Russian] ministry warned that it hopes Europe "does see the risk of unconditionally following advice from U.S. generals and will not opt for approaches that will rule out the risk of a slide towards a military confrontation between Russia and NATO."
While the U.S. Army acknowledges the convoy's movement is "a highly visible demonstration of U.S. commitment to its NATO allies," Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, the commander of U.S. Army Europe, insists "the focus should be on what is the desired end state, and can we get there using diplomatic and economic pressure and support."
So basically, the US is saying the following: “...although we’re intent on showing just how quickly we can deploy our forces in the event an armed confrontation becomes necessary, we hope you’ll see this for what it is which is our best effort demonstrate that we long for a peaceful solution.” We’ll let you judge for yourself how committed the West is to a peaceful resolution (note the US soldier teaching the small child how to fire a high caliber weapon):
And the US is particularly proud of the fact that it has created a wall of troops along the Russian border:
Meanwhile, US officials don’t understand why anyone would see this as hypocritical. As RT reports, the US State Department’s press official Jeff Rathe “would disagree” with the notion that the US is conductig precisely the types of exercises for which it has previsously condemned Russia:
When asked why the US was condemning Russian exercises inside Russia, State Department press official Jeff Rathke told RT no such statement had ever been made.
While the US has not criticized every military drill conducted by the Kremlin, last August State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Russia’s aviation exercises are “provocative and only serve to escalate tensions.”
“Wouldn’t US and NATO maneuvers on Russian borders, at a time when the West and Russia are at odds over the crisis in Ukraine, also “raise tensions?” asked AP diplomatic correspondent Matt Lee.
“We would disagree with that,” replied Rathke.
Indeed.
In the meantime, Moscow isn’t particularly pleased with Denmark’s eight month old move to join NATO’s missile defense shield, as Russia’s Ambassador to Denmark Mikhail Vanin subtly warned that joining the effort would subject Danish ships to strikes by Russian nuclear missiles and besides, the effort would ultimately be in vain as Moscow has nukes capable of infiltrating the West’s defenses. Here’s more from The Telegraph:
“I don’t think that Danes fully understand the consequence if Denmark joins the American-led missile defence shield. If they do, then Danish warships will be targets for Russian nuclear missiles,” said Mikhail Vanin, the Russian ambassador to Denmark, to the Jyllands-Posten newspaper.
“Denmark would be part of the threat against Russia. It would be less peaceful and relations with Russia will suffer. It is, of course, your own decision - I just want to remind you that your finances and security will suffer. At the same time Russia has missiles that certainly can penetrate the future global missile defence system,” Mr Vanin said.
* * *
It would certainly appear from the above that geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe are now running at a fever pitch and with Washington prone to adopting an extra defensive position thanks to what appear to be shifting economic alliances among its staunchest allies, we wouldn’t expect the posturing to die down on either side in the foreseeable future.

will ling .... why do you release the game plan before kick off.
A false flag over there will get a response not where you planned. Know your opponent.
I guess Vlad does not need to level Det-riot. If Russia just waits for it all to implode then Chicago will be just like Detroit in a few years.
Nah, just turn a few (5) cities in the ME into a Sea of Glass/Tranquility, and peace will break out all over the planet.
ah? maybe.
It has been done once before in that god forsaken land.
The schemes of zion.
Probably not.
If the Necons/Ziocons decide to Nuke a few ME Cities (when conventionals are sufficient), I'd expect that someone will spend Tens of Millons of Dollars to acquire a rogue Nuke to bomb a few in the USA.
Good god. I think i'm heading for the liquor cabinet now.
Also, do you suppose these 'line of troops' and border patrol of 120 vehicles are possible bait? You know, one little mishap and the US launches every nuke they have?
Nothing like reading about your future death coming.
Read the Bible much?
**Sigh**
Fuck no! And i'm not going to be a dumbass and start just because there's trouble brewing. Furthermore, god didn't write the bible. Man did. If any of this bullshit coincides with the bible, the stupid fucking blood moons, or whatever, it is because some crazy ass psychopaths on this planet decide they must play it out. It makes them think tjhey are some sort of gods or stupid crap but in the end they are nothing more than a mistake that came out of primordial ooze.
Where the hell are these guys getting their intel? They have it backwards. It's not going to be Russia going west. It'll be Europe that goes east.
They create their "Intel" from thin air.
Well its clear uncle sam's gonna keep on provoking until he gets a deeply desired response from Putin.
And that response will have to be of a military nature - and then the shooting begins.
But what is driving this - military/industrial profits, third term hungry meglomaniac or big distraction to avoid something very, very big coming down the line.
plausible +.
Well I guess that the world will get to see how effective the US military's police Army (1.5 decades waging warfare as mounted MPs working out of forward operating bases) will fare against a 1st world trained equipped effective army with modern weapons that is well acquainted with hardship.
When there isn't four hot meals a day served by Halliburtton , hot showers, wifi, cellphones, comfy beds, video games, yoga classes, fencing classes, ice cream, etc.
I suspect that the army of I-phone addicted, self indulgent, single mothers and fat fucks isn't going to fare so well.
The faint of heart Seem to find a way to get out of their commitments. Particularly when the shit gets rough; Food and sleep deprivation in a dangerous and austere environment with a committed enemy tends to cause this.
one eye
that same us military will pluck that one eye out for you real nice
and..what about russia? infantry of vodka addicts...will be like the pied piper, just lay out the trail of stoli for you thick skulled neanderthals to follow, leading you imbeciles to slaughter
Patton was right about you fucks
US 82nd Airborne by their own admission the most combat ready drinks in the the world.
What's your point? Did I strike a nerve? Are you a now "disabled "former fat fuck of said army? (To collect yo check) Or just someone who likes to talk tough from behind a screen?
I ve been around those mouth breathers and I highly doubt anyone of the "social justice" warriors could shit if they ate regularly
However I'm not the subject ,your nazi supporting government is.
For that matter why nuke ISIS that would be a waste of your tax payers money since your CIA,DOD, and NSA Train equip, fund and support them.
Didnt strike a nerve, i get tired of limp dick fucks like you spouting off, grouping all american s the same, 2 can play that game
I assure you that I am a professional, who has forgotten more than you will ever lean in your useless waste of a liftime, as a poor peasant under Putin's dick taster ship
Question, doesnt it sink into your pea brain that Putin is raping your country, seriously? are you that blind/brainwashed...you had better study history my delusional propagandist cumrade...Putins actions have strong parellels to the third reich, and is actually quite striking
Oh and an FYI, im glad you think americans are lazy "fat fucks", because when the show really begins, under estimating your opponent usually ends up with you getting carved up quite severely..
By the way, when was the last real conflict Russia was in?,,hmm...lets see, wasnt it Afghanastan? how did that work out for you fucking ass holes
Fuck you
How was Iraq and Afghanistan where you got your asses handed to you buy rurals with small arms from the 1950's
Did you underestimate them too? I know they'll welcome you with flowers as liberators!
A professional what?
Your unmitigated ignorance strengthens my argument. Someone disagrees with you and you attack them and threaten them?
Sounds like a typical American Nazi supporter.
I know liberty, freedom etc empty words much like the US constitution.
Why don't you read my past posts I don't blindly support Putin.
However; Niether am I a fool to be cowed into a false belief that the U.S. Government and all its parasitic entities are some altruistic force for global good.
If anyone wants to harm me I'm easy to find. Be cautious though unlike most Ive been known to fight back.
I know perhaps you could demonstrate your professionalism at call of duty.
Further; You engaged me, I did not seek you out. I couldn't care less about what you are or what you do/did.
It's funny you should mention Patton, you fail to mention the circumstances of his death and how your government was behind it.
Why don't you ask why Iran hates the U.S. this may have to do with the 1953 CIA coup for British petroleum I know the British were rightfull entitled to that Iranian hydrocarbon energy by God and the CIA just wanted to help them get "their" property back.
In many ways much like the current short sighted coup in the Ukraine.
I know, it's for Free-dumb! Thats why the so-called terrorists attacked you what a joke. (Edit. Save freedom by curtailing it how brilliant!)
That's one reason no one in the world trusts you liars, because of your populations lemming like servility and your governments fantasy of exporting tyranny and telling people it's freedom.
Freedom to what? (Why the freedom to be a serf for uncle Sam of course son!)
President Eisenhower was right about your country when he said beware of the military industrial complex it will take over everything.
It has and that is all that your country has left to cover their lies and theft; War and whats more your not even really good at it.
When's the last war hat the US won?
Iraq ? No,
Afghanistan? No,
Persian gulf ? Nope,
Vietnam? Uh-uh
Korea? Not so much.
So WWII.
One war in 70 years, one would imagine with so much practice you would have a better rate of success
Your country produces nothing but lies, death, and suffering throughout the world.
I would tell you what to do with yourself but that would imply that I am concerned enough about you to give the premise consideration.
You are insignificant and without relevance your opinion has no meaning or value and frankly your vulgarity in correspondence demonstrates your limited education "Professional" indeed!
BTW Americans being fat isn't a matter of opinion your there look around you.
Fuck you you fucking sanctimonious douche, you fucking cock sucker, running down america, then someone has the stones to call you out, and you say you are "attacked"...lol what a fairy
what is the last war that russia won? tell me which one? i hear tht you fucks are "testd", tested for what std? liver disease? putins dick in your ass? which is it?
Living in the shadows of giants who won WWII pretty tall shoes to fill how is it living life as a professional failure?
That is your profession I assume, since you merely alluded to being a
professional. Professional paid troll? Part time burger flipper? Fry guy?
Accusing others of having homosexual tendencies tsk...tsk ... Classic projection of your deepest desires so for how long have you harbored these desires to engage in same sex relations?
@nuke: here are your heroes in action - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwNUMM4iRb0
All those creature comforts you listed are the anethesia needed for the rank-and-file to participate in misadventure. It's the spoonful of sugar.
What I'm asying is that American forces will have little motivation for fighting Russia, despite the propaganda, whereas their targets will be fully motivated from the very start. That's why the Ukrainian military was destined to fail with it's "anti-terrorist operation" in the Donbass. That's why the Americans got their asses kicked in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam. This is why Israel failed spectacularly in Lebanon against Hezbollah and why American and Israeli-trained Georgian forces got whooped in 2008. There are many, many examples of this.
My guess is that Obama and his political masters, not content to just have ISIS arise from the political chaos of Libya, is trying to recreate the conditions so ISIS can take over Ukraine. Why do you think Obama is doing this? My guess is that he's trying to secure his family in the nomenklatura just as the Clinton's did. Do we really believe Chelsea Clinton got her short stint as NBC journalist on merit?
I agree.
Without air superiority US ground forces crumble.
It's one thing to establish air superiority over 3rd world countries, but something tells me that won't happen over Russian skies.
And when the Army can't call in airsrtrikes against every fortified MG nest we will see about how effective they are against an equivalent or superior foe.
My money's on the home team.
Conversely if Ruskies invaded here (aren't those lines in the sky painted by Ruskies, Mr CIA?) the outcome would not be in their favor.
We need to get the FUCK out of their while we still have some forces left to evac. Stalingrad comes to mind.
Russians may not be the best offenseive army in the world, but by God their record on defense is pretty good in recent history.
It'll be a meat grinder and the USARMY will be the meat.
Uncle Sam (and the "Well Connected") have access to very useful / significant information denied to those who actually work, to pay their salaries. I still suspect this is a very big distraction, and that things are not as they seem.
Of course, there is always the Big Driver - more profits for the "Well Connected". . . . .

List of Close Military Encounters Between Russia and the West, March 2014 – March 2015

"March madness" indeedee
It is interesting to notice that the Russian exercises seem designed to "put the final touches" on their ability to operate large joint forces with maximum efficiency, whilst the NATO exercises seem more to do with "wave the flag" provocation, especially in terms of location, and media coverage opportunity.
Also of note - the Russian exercises have had zero significant coverage by most of the Western MSM (apart from a few inside-pages column centimetres, liberally splattered with the by now "mandatory" soundbites ("destabilising", "provocation", and the almost-trademark "Russian Aggression")).
Meanwhile "Down Under" the vast majority are convinced "Russia Did It" - Invasion, Annexation, MH17 - the propaganda has worked just fine here, and "more than a few" supposedly intelligent colleagues are very keen indeed for the US / NATO to "Go in there and teach Russia a lesson it'll never forget". Seeing as the National Mindset is extremely dogmatic, trying to explain thet it'll be the US / NATO that will be on the losing side of any Russian conflict is a completely lost cause, so I leave them to it. If further provocation or simply opportune timing provides Russia with a window of opportunity, Russia will respond, and we'll all find out who was right and who was wrong, the hard way.
Might be mindful to recall Sun Tzu's Art of War - "Appear weak when you are strong, appear strong when you are weak" . . . . . . . . .
I like Aussie's, but if they are dumb enough to try to teach the Russians a lesson they will never forget, then they will learn what Hitler and Napoleon were taught.
The empires canon fodder, long before Pax Americana.
The cannucks aren't far behind.
If there must be war, let Barrie lead in front with the 69th Rainbow Brigade, the dashing, dangerous fighters nicknamed the Gay Blades!
***
The English Navy: "Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash!"
The US Navy: "Buggery, buggery, buggery!"
The English navy: Captain Pugwash
How did they seperate the Men from the Boys in Nelson's Navy??
(With a crowbar! . . . . :-) )
At least Aussies are amusing, Winston, whereas the canucks are just dumb ass boring.
As usual the ones who are most supportive of "War" are those with no skin in the game (i.e. our Political Twittering Set). A very few friends who have children in the Australian Defence Force are very UN-supportive of further escalation. Having "You or Yours" on the firing line seems to concentrate the mind somewhat . . . . .
What?
Nobody down under with kids in the Forces wants an invite to another Gallipoli?
Not a very patriotic bunch at all. War build character in youngsters and makes them men.
Well, the ones that come back home, that is.
BS. The Aussies have war-weariness from what occurred in Iraq/Afghanistan since they shouldered a large role than most given their military size. Murdoch in his rags has been pressing the anti-Russian message but there isn't any indication to me from the polls I have seen or Australian politics that the public would support any kind of large mobile military action any time soon. If anything, the Australian military budget is a bit under pressure and has almost been entirely focused on Asian affairs and relationships.
Just announced closer military cooperation to Vietnam this week and have been working on joint military relations with the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
BS to you, sunbeam
This is the same Australia where we "cannot afford" decent (i.e. not "Private" healthcare), but CAN "afford" $100 BILLION for the US crapola F35, AND God knows how much for those "essential" 12 subs to replace the equally crap Collins class machines.
Get out much?? Try asking you local Pollies (State and Ward) if they "support the Troops" where the need to "Manage Russian Aggression"TM is concerned. You'll be "unpleasantly surprised", and as for being "War Weary", the population of Melbourne who I interact with are "War Keen", which tells me all I need to know.
Your complete ranting aside again show me a poll or anything of substance that asserts your claims. Even regardin the F-35 there is a lot of talk about scaling back the pace of it and yeah there is still general pressure on the Australian military outlays this year.
No poll - I TALK to people. That's what us Medics do - TALK. And the consistent commentary I receive is that the MAJORITY (that would be 90% ++) of my Patients, from all walks of life, are pretty keen on escalation, especially in view of the saturation coverage of the Gallipoli Campaign running on Aussie TV right now (Aussies certainly do have a "good feeling" about being seen as "the victors", or at least being seen as "good supporters" of any US led conflict.
In reality the Russian High Command really couldn't give a stuff about "Aussie Capability" from a military viewpoint, but there is the problem of Pine Gap, and that alone will make us a legitimate target (along with the US Marine base in Darwin) should things get interesting.
This is why I'm more than a little pissed off with all the sabre-rattling, over a Country that really is none of our (or NATO)'s business. Especially at a time when Australia seems to have such a really big problem with addressing VERY long-overdue infrastructure deficiencies (translation - our Pollies couldn't give a stuff once thay are elected - so what's new there!)
You must live in a particularly militaristic part of the country. Your experience (90%++ are keen on escalation) is nothing like mine.
That may well be the case. I'm fully willing to accept that my "sample population" may be slanted one way or the other, but these are the anecdotal "facts" that I see before me.
Look, I'm an ID Physician. The majority of my customers are "of a mature vintage", and that well may reflect their mindset (rosy memories of "Distant Military Glory" in their past), however the few "young'uns" that I see (mainly surfing injury associated infections - which says a lot for the "cleanliness" of the Melbourne waterfronts) are generally of the mindset that "Putin must be taught a lesson". Maybe this is a mindset that they see in adults, maybe a mindset instilled via media bombardment, I don't know. Whatever, the overall "feeling" is one of a Nation at least accepting of the "need to do something", if not outright keen on "doing something".
I don't suppose this helps project a "we'll be happy to do whatever our US Masters tell us to do" image. Our current Prime Minister is really no better than Ms Gillard.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/17/world/asia/obama-and-gillard-expand-us-australia-military-ties.html?_r=1
As an Aussie paramedic talking to my patients, I would have to agree with you Parrotile. I am yet to find someone who sees this shit show for what it really is...
So Parrotile, are you telling us we'd be better off with UK style NHS? Hawke and Keating, the most rational and competent Labor PMs in the last 50 years didn't think so.
Ah yes - the "Crap UK NHS", which STILL gets far better Patient outcomes per dollar (or Pound) spent, that what we have here.
See above: I work in the business, and may I assure you that our VERY EXPENSIVE "Private" sector isn't quite so keen on picking up the tab for their Patients who may be "less than easy", to the extent that they can, and do threaten to discharge complex patients, and advise them to present to our (State-funded) Public hospitals for on-going management.
The "Private" system has also developed a strategy of "borrowing" costly / short shelf life pharmaceuticals from State institutions, often under the threat of discharging said patients, so as to minimise the impact on their "bottom line". There is a lot of behind-the-scenes politicking going on right now to address this, since the price the Private institutions pay to the State Hospitals is the price the States have negotiated for the Public Healthcare System, and so legally the supply of "Contract price" items from a State Institution to a Private (for-profit) Institution is a clear breach of Contract, especially since these items are readily available from Wholesalers at the ususal listed (higher, non - Contract)price.
There is also the issue of the "borrowed" items being charged to the Patient (or their Insurers) at the normal "retail" price, which can be significantly greater than the State Contract price.
So, in a nutshell, yes. Worked in the UK NHS for many years, and the staff were consistently better than our comparable Aussie staff, although the overall standard of Nursing empathy started to decline there after the implementation of Project 2000 (all-Graduate RN programmes), with the "new" crop of Nurses being more interested in "rising through the ranks" to a non-Patient care, Executive role, rather than seeing a career in Patient care.
Just the same here. I often wonder why many go into Nursing, since their empathy towards Patients just isn't there. Lots of dogmatism, lots of "Box-Tick" pretend "Quality" activities, lots of complaining, not much real care (which is not how it was, and certainly not as it should be).
As to Keating / Hawke; have NO doubt that there would have been pretty fearful lobbying by the AMA on behalf of their members, who were doing VERY well thank-you in the Public-Private system, and who didn't want to see their projected future income streams being trimmed by a far more efficient and effective NHS. We then have all the extra bureaucracy of each State funding some of the Public System, and the Federal Government funding other bits. Some States run an entirely PBS based Hospital system, others (notably NSW) don't; then there's the S100 High Cost / Specialised Drugs scheme, where the Fed. pays, but only if your Patient falls into certain preferred categories. Using the drug (legitimately) for something else (e.g. Cyclosporin or Mycophenolate for dermatological problems)? The Hospital (State) picks up the bill, or the Patient (who will have to pay the full (non-PBS Subsidised) price), which can be pretty steep.
So, we're stuck with LOTS of very well-paid bureaucrats whose job involves no more than cost-shifting from State to Federal and vice-versa, a fragmented "Each State does their Own Thing" purchasing strategy, and jaw-dropping levels of paperwork, especially if your Patient is a visitor from another State (which also affects whether they get charged for 000 emergency ambulance services!)
UK NHS? Centralised mass purchasing (so they got the very best deals on the very best kit - (the ICU I worked in 12 years ago was STILL better than ours here, today!)), extremely reliable supply systems (no sudden shortages / brand changes of pharmaceuticals, as we have here on a regular basis), National data exchange (I could view imaging data from Scotland in real time on the South Coast of England - 10 ++ years ago), The Public Health Laboratory Service - National access 24/7, to people who REALLY knew what was happening, and who had the equipment to allow very fast diagnosis / identification of those "unusual organisms" that our Patients brought back from their far-flung dalliances . . . ( :-) ), really decent Hospital staff, great rapport with the GP Networks (unlike here . . . .! ), and Hospital Pharmacy departments that were decades ahead of here, especially in terms of Manufacturing (and Manufacturing to as high as standard as the Pharmaceutical Industry!!).
So in all a very lost opportunity. We certainly could have done far better in Australia, but where power, money and politics are concerned, "immediate gratification" may well have been the driving force, rather than a true commitment to a decent Federal National Health Service (which of course we don't have!)
That the Brits will get you in the end?
the brits love to get you in the end especially if you are a little boy or girl.
Latina fuck wit, lets discuss how germany was carving you fucks up llike chopped liver, before hitler got stupid. If it wasnt for Hitlers stupidity of diverting forces, away from the march to Moscow, you would have a brautwurst up your ass you fucking douche bag fuck knuckle

Good post sir. I don't think 'teaching a lesson' means what your colleague thinks it means.
But come now......the US is a peace loving nation and has successfully brought peace to at least 70 nations over the last several hundred years
http://www.countercurrents.org/polya050713.htm
Its altruism is at least on a par with Ghengis Khan, the Roman Empire, the British Empire, etc. The worst that might be said is that in some instances it might have provided "tough love". US Exceptionalism/Roman Peace were/are equivalent proofs of wholly benificent kindlyness extended into, er, towards others.

I'm sorry that your uncle did those vile things to you, if you just go and seek help from a psychiatrist, Im sure that you can live a mostly normal life as a mostly functional man.
You don't have to live life as a sexually confused hurt little child. It'll be ok.
So I understand by your lack of a fact based response that you have no facts merely vulgarity filled rhetoric. As per usual?
If we all have to die, hope I get to see itsahell go up first.
Big deal. This has been going on for over 2 weeks now (nearly 3) and it includes less than 2 dozen Abrams. It is a token show force to the Baltic countries and Poland by the US and not much more.
If Russia isn't an agent provocateur either, why have the Finnish-Russian relations also deteriorated so badly then the past 6 months too? Finland isn't a NATO member and has long tried to watch a fine line with the Soviet Union/Russia because of the economic ties along with the huge border Finland shares with Russia. Fins are far from NATO/US lapdogs and are careful to trend a path that is in there own best interests.
Despite this, the Russian air force has not only reopened an airfield at Murmansk but also moved a squadron of Sukhoi fighters there along with 3,000 troops recently. Russians have routinely been penetrating Finnish air space with bombers and the Sukhoi fighters. As a result, the Finns have moved assets most notably to Rovaniemi and heightened reservist callups/training.
Lots of bad blood between R&F.
Is it impossible Russia could strike? No.
Is it likely? No.
Russia has been invaded so many times they triple up the numebr of troops when concerned. It's likely the Finns are saying, look bub, if you have to attack somebody, you'll have an easier time down south.
It just grows so tiresome on here to see Russian portrayed as either the morally righteous country or the maligned power that isn't playing its own power game in traditional Russia spheres of influence.
Russia won't strike Finland because if they did the EU would actually get serious militarily about their budgets and combat readiness. It would also cause of host of other problems for Russia with seperate countries I bet including Turkey.
This year will be more of the same in Ukraine I bet although Putin isn't going to let up about linking Crimea via a land bridge & ultimately forcing out a Western-backed gov't in Kiev. US thought they could capitalize here in the chaos and put their cronies in charge in Ukraine. Just weren't countering on how aggressive Russia would move including the degree of military assistance and military action in Ukraine they would take.
Putin has no reason at this point to really back off until he can get a few more of his goals accomplished which I do think ultimately is having seperate, semi-autonomous regions which are largely locally governed let up in large swathes of Eastern Ukraine to complete a land bridge, putting the Kiev gov't under such strain that ultimately the Ukrainian people push out the Western-backed one & go with an alternative one that mets Russian needs/demands. Only then will Putin really dial back the pressure because at this point he really can't but doesn't see an immediate way out either until he clearly has the upper hand.
you assume too much
You conveneintly pop up on here only on Russian-related articles and you are as conveniently 'right' about your predictions/leaks/etc.
Why shouldn't he, V is Russian and patriotic. Why should he comment on other stuff that interests you.
Ditto the Swedes too. Again another country that took its own route for defense and has maintained that path.
Funny how since both Finland and Sweden did that they never really scaled back their militaries at much at the end of the Cold War and much higher levels of combat readiness generally too than their European NATO counterparts.
It just speaks volumes to me when you see polls in both Sweden and especially Finland and their views on Russia. Joining NATO or even hosting troops in Finland was never popular and almost every party was against it as a policy of Finlandization. Changed radically in the past year.
Finland and Sweden politians both sold out their people to the shelfish ones. Sweden in particluar has been in the pocket of Satan for years.
Then why have even the True Finns who were clearly anti-NATO (as almost all Finnish parties have been for a long time) and anti-EU softened their stance at least in regards to cooperating with joint NATO forces? This has only happend in the last 6 months given the notable uptick in Russian military incursions into Finnish airspace over Lapland and the notable Russian miltiary buildup at Murmansk which is about less than a 2-hour drive from Finnish cities of size?
... because the parties in Finland don't want to be Yanukovitched with a colour revolution of their own, maybe?
We're seeing these things spring up everywhere, and it's nearly impossible to see any nowadays as anything more than CIA/NED/USAID provocations, one way or another.
As I've pointed out before, America doesn't have allies, it just has people they bully less. Even Nixon said somethign like being an enemy of America will be uncomfortable, being an ally would be lethal. And given the financial calamity that's been building up for 30+ years, my suggestion is to get out the popcorn and watch the fireworks.
I guess facts still get downvoted on here quite often.
This site is putin regime ppropaganda asset. It is full of kremlin payed trolls.

So what did you expected?
I am American and not related to the Kremlin. You are way off base. Most people on here are Yanks tired of the AIPAC takeover and killing of civilians around the world for Jmafia get rich schemes.
Well said. If it wasn't for the USSA overthrow of the Ukrainian government, and constant provocations against Russia, I wouldn't be commenting either.
lol, is this what you learned in CIA internet cyber-war school?
I didn't get why your post was downvoted that many times.
The serial downvoters don't have the BALLS (testicular fortitude) to explain. They just click and run.
Keep up the good work and don't let the cowardly bastards drag you down.

There are facts and facts.. you have to include all of them .. not to mention an analysis that makes sense .. or you will get down voted.
"All 3000 of my men are ready to confront the Russian devils," said Gen Firebrand, head of the War Games FTX.
Meanwhile, over 50,000 Russian troops began operation Gun Oil, making sure their weapons were ready. Also getting greased and teased were 1,500 Russian Tanks and over 20,000 combat vehicles and 50,000 support troops in the western part of Russia alone.
Anyone know if there's any truth to this story? Releaved for not passing on launch codes.

How many countries lately has Russia been flying drones over to take out weddings and funerals?
Name country that has annexed other country territory by military special forces and later gave speeches and movies of how proud of this is?

I just hope NATO will stop this madness and will leave ukraine soon
They won't leave until the Ukies kick them out. Give it a year or 2 before the Ukie economy is totally destroyed, and they realize that the USSA has screwed them badly.
I have met some Ukies... very nice and smart. Hard to believe they are this easy. Wait and see I guess.
They have been duped by USSA propaganda, and hated the USSR for good and valid reasons, hence are suckers for american BS.
Interesting effort at diversion, as I mentioned was likely to be the case after release of the news about MH 17.
http://www.janes.com/article/50075/dutch-investigation-concludes-mh17-downed-by-buk-missile-from-russian-battery
Russia just had massive empire-wide snap readiness maneuvers involving 40,000 troops, but this NATO truck convoy represents a real provocation and something that everyone needs to talk about. Change the subject and turn the focus away from Russian nefariousness and instead harp upon evil, warmongering Estonia or someplace similar.
I'll see if I can find an online link. There is a very famous cartoon that shows a menacing, drunken oaf of a Russian that has seized the arm of a helpless woman labeled "Finland". The caption reads: Villain, trying to attack me, eh?
Every frontline state on the border seems to be suddenly interested in rearming and joining NATO or bemoaning that they didn't join NATO when they had the chance.
What do they know that Russian partisans do not want you to think about, much less know?
More Dis Info on MH 17
Quoting from the article, 'Preliminary information leaked to the Dutch media has concluded that a Russian unit is responsible for the shootdown.' No investigators were named and the report is in its first phase... blah blah blah. Same old BS, with plausible deniability.
Still waiting for the black box recordings and ATC tapes to be released.... hmmm, I wonder what is holding them up?
As for the war games, it is just more NATO posturing, sound and fury signifying nothing. No European nation wants to send their men and women to die in the Ukraine because the Neocons stupidly lost Crimea.
I really don't think one can refer Russia as an Empire. It is a large country but not really an empire in the sense like the u.s.
Janes? Are you serious? Janes is a Boing-Nothrop-Lockheed weekly. This is all BS...
Hasbara troll
Fuck these fucking generals who do this in the hopes of getting their next star.
Given the lopsided asymmetry of forces and HW being deployed in these Exercises, it's just NATO Kabuki Theater, to cover for Lehman X 1000 that's coming.
De-Dollarization accelerates, the MIC is crapping and front-running the demise of the Reserve Currency, and with it the blank checks they are used to having. They're stocking up while they can.
I have to agree. I'm hoping that Putin can see through all this and realize that NATO and the MIC know full well that when austerity and financial collapse hit, the people, given a choice between bread or guns, will chose bread. So, NATO is hellbent on trying to remain relevant to the lives of people by finding a convenient enemy, hoping to mobilize the populations hatred against an external enemy that only NATO can deal with (i.e., "Putin is insane", "Putin is going to roll tanks into Europe", "Putin is helping fund ISIS", etc).
It boils down to job perservation attempts by the parasite classes (lawyers, bankers, generals, executives at death companies, etc) and they need to the proles to be stupid so they can suck the blood from them.
The US wants war so bad it's creaming its jeans with the thought, but it's like the man that looks for trouble, when he finds it, he wishes he hadn't.
I wonder if those US-NATO soldiers know that every move they make is follow by TOPOL-M and Iskander missiles with nuclear warhead installed. Scary but truth.
Yeah the Russian military is direly concerned about what is little more than an armed bridage strength unit without even a full complement of heavy armor, or supporting infantry artillery. Certain the Russians would risk the consequences of a first strike which would almost certainly escalate over such a force. Definitely shadowing them with Russian bombers with nuclear warheads installed.
The time to mess with Russia was in the summer of 1945, when Patton would have rolled through Stalin like shit through a goose. It's ridiculuos to start a war with Russia now. They should be our allies.
I don't know why we don't import oil feom Russia. Russians don't wipe the asses with their left fingers, fly airliners into NYC, stone raped women, worship pedophiles, or wear nightgowns in public.
Because Russia is one of the few places left that the Western Oligarch Ferengi corporations hasn't butt raped. It's resource rich and unspoiled.
wrong
much critical damage, but blocked since Yeltsin handed over to Putin team...
That is why Patton had to be killed.
He would have been drafted by the Republicans to run for President in 1948. However, by then the "tribe" and their fellow travelers would have already transferred nuclear weapons technology to Stalin.
What would the world be like today, if -in 1950- Patton was President and Stalin had the bomb?
Patton would have lost the Pacific War if he had
Patton never fought but a few hundred km deep.. against army suffering critical fuel and supply shortages
better look at large map.
long way before approach even the Urals...
so many reasons this was terrible idea
however, he had enlightment that Germans were not the enemy
next progress would have been truth Russians were not enemy either
real enemy did not allow that...
"when Patton would have rolled through Stalin like shit through a goose. "
i think a lot of Patton. but he would have gotten his clocked cleaned just like AH did. it's called logistics.
"During Crimea crisis Putin ordered the deployment of Russia's "Bastion" mobile coastal defence missile systems and made sure they can be seen from above." - But NATO or US never talked about this because they didn't want look cowards. In plain English Mr. Putin told them if you want war there'll be war.
- So, don't worry about NATO-US drills Mr. Putin knows it's all bluff.
This was 7 years ago. I wonder what else they got that we don't know. Russia tests world's most powerful bomb.
The u.s/nato struts whats left of its stuff on Russia's borders while denouncing Russia for aggressive behavior within its borders.
In my sixty years I have always found you don't have to worry about the loud mouth bad boy types,,, its the quiet ones that'll nail you.
Sun Tzu's Art of War mentions this quite nicely. Even available via Kindle!! http://www.amazon.com/The-Art-War-Sun-Tzu-ebook/dp/B001ULBPPC
it's free on a lot of sites
eg

the problem with nuke missile shield is that it only needs 1 to slip through then its failed.
so 60 war heads on their way to NYC fired from one of many nuke subs... can they stop each one...especially if another dozen convential dummy warheads fired at same time. NYC toast...whitehouse...austin..seattle...etc Copenhagen..berlin...London.
these USA wankers playing stupid games on Russian border....wonder US response if Russia did this on US Mexican border?.
Putin should tell Merkle that Berlin will be first.
But i suspect one nuke on tel aviv would finish all this nonsense.
The US is occupying Europe and telling the EU that it is held hostage by US-NATO and Breedlove is the Shadow Dictator of Europe.......the Shogun behind the Emperor Juncker
NO ONE in the USA is supporting this shit except kreepy neocons and the MIC.
The ENTIRE US army couldn't control the city of Bhagdad, and got their asses seriously kicked by guys in flip flops running around with mosins in afghanistan.
So they really think they are credible against Russia?
It'll go to nukes very fast. A very stoopid game, no one wins.
If our government tries to get us in another fucking war....and this time with Russia for fucks sake....we have GOT TO get rid of this government-bankster-media complex....no more wars! We simply can not stand by and let it all happen....what happened to constent of the governed? Obama...you get us into war with Russia...and your government will fall. We the People have had it.
This is what happens if you have a Nobel Peace Prize winner as a president.... The war of all wars... it fits in the "new normal" reality. Up is down, black is white...
I still don't see the videos of the Russian tanks and military vehicles lining up a few hundred yards from the US borders in Canada and Mexico. Are the reporters all in Europe?
Then they'd be doing the jobs Americans wont do....
Best soldiers are those under 18.
Imagine an army of 40-year-olds.
Whaaaa???
Fuck that shit!
My feet hurt.
When's lunch?
The men fight for DPR and LPR aka miners, farmers and avg guys have an average age of probably 30. They have gotten the Ukrianians in cauldrons (surrounded) at least 3 times.
I would bet most of the Ukrianian kids do not want to be there. Hopefully they will be surrendering because they know Kiev is totally corrupt.
because they are still stupid
How is 120 vehicles considered "wide scale"?
Fucking Philadelphia police dept probably has more combat vehicles than that.
This is different. Recently the US/NATO didn't need to win. They only needed to show enough fight to justify more military spending and maybe replace leaders with proxies.
This will go in a completely different direction as Russia cannot tolerate this level of aggression at its border (imagine for example the Chinese navy in the St Lawrence sea-way).
The tipping point for Russian action is hard to see, but I imagine a handful of NATO ships will sink before these neocons rethink this. Over-reacting at that point will be the nuclear tipping point we've dreaded since the late '50s.
Not to give away our age, but do you remember growing up, knowing that if the sirens wailed, you had eight minutes left?
Only if they wailed at any other time than 12 noon on Fridays.
Russia won't be back to full military strength until 2018 at the earliest, possibly 2020. You can be sure Putin will resist all NATO provocations until then. After that, given the anti-Russian hysteria bordering on insanity that prevails in London and Washington, it's anyone's guess what happens. I have a feeling this is going to be one confrontation the self-appointed "defenders of the free world" will regret they ever started.
(Yes, I remember the early 80s, before perestroika and glasnost. I was terrified of the USSR then. Now I realise it was all western propaganda.)
