"I'm Not Stupid" Monsanto Lobbyist Refuses To Drink Weedkiller After Proclaiming "It Won't Hurt You"
"Do as I say, not as I do," appears to be the message from a controversial lobbyist who claimed that the chemical in Monsanto’s Roundup weed killer was safe for humans refused to drink his own words when a French television journalist offered him a glass... "I'm not stupid," he proclaims... you be the judge...
In a preview of an upcoming documentary on French TV, Dr. Patrick Moore tells a Canal+ interviewer that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup herbicide, was not increasing the rate of cancer in Argentina.
Entertaining transcript:
“You can drink a whole quart of it and it won’t hurt you,” Moore insists.
“You want to drink some?” the interviewer asks. “We have some here.”
“I’d be happy to, actually,” Moore replies, adding, “Not really. But I know it wouldn’t hurt me.”
“If you say so, I have some,” the interviewer presses.
“I’m not stupid,” Moore declares.
“So, it’s dangerous?” the interviewer concludes.
But Moore claims that Roundup is so safe that “people try to commit suicide” by drinking it, and they “fail regularly.”
“Tell the truth, it’s dangerous,” the interviewer says.
“It’s not dangerous to humans,” Moore remarks. “No, it’s not.”
“So, are you ready to drink one glass?” the interviewer continues to press.
“No, I’m not an idiot,” Moore says defiantly. “Interview me about golden rice, that’s what I’m talking about.”
At that point, Moore declares that the “interview is finished.”
“That’s a good way to solve things,” the interviewer quips.
“Jerk!” Moore grumbles as he storms off the set.

@pupdog
CAREFUL!
nearly nobody knows the new gmos, they are not labelled as gmo. read:
http://www.testbiotech.org/sites/default/files/Testbiotech_Factsheet_Syn...
Big Ag has been attacking the labeling regulations for a long time now. But what they forgot to consider is the fact that now it will become lucrative to label your food products as "Non GMO", and that there ARE no laws that can stop food producers from doing that. So, in essence they get the exact same results as before, with the advertising coming at them from the other direction. Only now they also look like assholes for fighting it at all.
If GMO food becomes more unpopular, it WILL be used in advertisements by those companies seeking to capture that market. And there's not a God damned THING Monsanto can do about that. They can't force it down your throat. If GMO food becomes unpopular, it will be shunned by the market, and it will become tougher to sell those products. Market share will be captured by those producers avoiding Monsanto products. Meaning local farms will likely seek business pick up significantly.
If those little guys can hang on until the big corporate farms have blown up their own markets, they will win big. Everyone has to eat. And I've been seeing more and more farm stands popping up, most seem to be fairly busy. McDonald's, not so much. So maybe we're starting to see some push-back against 'corporate food'.
Interesting way to expose him...
Alternatively the reporter could have put a briefcase on the table and said "this breifcase is stuffed with money and we will give it to you if you murder your mother".
Then when this fucker asked "how much money is there?" the reporter could jump up and yell "YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!!!!".
NJ tap water is just as "safe".
I ditched the week killer and used vinegar or whatever, I have to spray more often but at least I'm not goig to be ingesting that poison some time later...
And you pre-season your salad too...well done, yellowsub. That's the kind of thinking we need.
I wonder if chickens would eat ranch dressing?
could the french guy make an interview about Charlie Hebdo? Ukraine?, MH370, Presidential elections in US?.......
We glycophosphated some folks.
Everythig you eat has pesticides in it, im not so concerned with weed killer to be honest, obviously if you spray something on a plant, and the plant instantly dies, its not safe to drink/get on your skin. . . I don't care what anyone says . . . if you say its safe and I see you spray it on a plant and the plant instantly shivvels up and dies . . . I am not going to injest it / get it on me lol
The idea that this stuff is safe for humans to consume is idiotic . . . and probably based on some bullshit "study" by the manufacturer.
This is why you can not believe things "based on science" because "based on science" has become a rubber stamp corporations use to bypass proper testing.
"...and probably based on some bullshit "study" by the manufacturer..."
Ya Think?
D wolf...
Not everything you eat has pesticides in it,....there is a huge movement away from the toxic, corporate food system in the US (and the world).
It costs more fiat to buy organic, grass fed and/or hormone free meats and veggies, but it is a choice quite a few families are making.
It's a very personal decision, but once you make it, there's no going back to the round-up ready GMO's and corporate farmed meats.
Someone I know has even talked a farmer about 35 miles north of him to trade their CSA meat packages for some of his Silver Eagles......(good deal for both of them)

Toxins everywhere!
When did some people stop loving their children and the ecosystem?
Seems like everybody has a job to spread poisons!
Roundup should be the national drink of Israel!:)
Roundup is harmless. I've used Roundup enemas for years to eliminate harmful flora in the colon and the results are wonderful. You scaredy cat fearmongers should try it.
We rounded up some folks...
Hm, I think I don't want to be the judge for Mr. Moore ... but the (uhm, is this the correct word) headsman. ;-)
Water will kill you in large quantities.
probably the third time i post this, buts its great for people, lookin for the truth about gmo, glyphosat etc
http://www.i-sis.org.uk/Ban_GMOs_Now.pdf
lot of studies (bout300, metastudy!), scientific background in it.
spread please;) thats worse for those companies than any violence. (or why shouldnt you be able to "gugl" for the word "truth" in the chinese internet...)
capitalist scumfucks
WATERBOARD THAT FUCKER WITH IT!
As I read this thread, I flash back to the California drought article of yesterday, where we were all warned that drought in California was going to cause us all a lot of grief and we shouldn't laugh at their problems.
Now it seems that all those concentrated factory farms in California are actually a real threat due to their use of pesticides.
But if the drought puts them out of business, that should be good for us.
Yet having no food is bad for us.
I suspect that either way, food is going to cost a lot more than it did previously. Personal gardens are one way to escape this trap, but few people have the space (or the water) to actually grow more than a fraction of their needs. This problem is compounded by their lack of experience.
In the end, I suspect that most people are going to be quite happy to eat whatever rations are doled out by a benevolent government, no matter where they came from, what sort of seed was used, or how the bugs were kept off the plants.
And speaking of rations, here is the already-calculated list of weekly rations in a post-attack scenario-- which can no doubt be extended into regular national emergencies:
3 pounds of boneless meat
or 4 pounds of bone-in meat
or 36 eggs
or 8 1/2 pounds of potatoes
or 3 pounds of dry peas
or 6 pounds of canned pork and beans
Apart from these items as a weekly issue, each individual gets:
6 eggs
4 pounds of cereal products
2 pounds of frozen vegetables
1/2 pound of fats and oils
2 pounds of potatoes
1/2 pound of sweets
We live in times where each of us is being warned and warned and warned that bad things are coming. There is no guarantee that those who take those warnings seriously will outperform those who do not, but the odds are certainly going to be tilted in their favor.
I wonder what the nutritional content of glyphosate is if you can drink a quart of it like milk. Double dose of vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin A = DEAD!
+1 for the Double dose comment.
Reminds me of Brawndo the Thirst Mutilator! It's Got What Plants Crave!
Event Horizon, you are ignorant trash. Drink a glass of Roundup, then go get a couple flu shots. Don't worry, big food and big pharma will tell you everything is fine.
It's because of rotten, cheap, scum like this lobbyist that the world is suffering an epidemic of chronic disease. We live in a country (USA) where chemicals are safe until "proven" otherwise. Most other countries don't operate this way, such as those in the EU.
Event Horizon, did you know that it was previously widely accepted that cigarettes did NOT cause cancer? There were thousands of well-paid shills like Patty Moore and doctors claiming cigarettes were perfectly safe, and not carcinogenic. And there were millions more ignorant fools, just like you, who believed the lies and attacked anyone that asked questions. So go ahead, keep eating your GMO foods, laden with toxic chemicals, and telling yourself everything is OK. The rest of us are waking up, that's why garbage food dispensaries, such as McDonalds are losing money fast.
WATCH THE MOVIE BOUGHT, it will open your eyes!
Pay particular attention to Palmer amaranth, and any other amaranths on this map.
https://www.pioneer.com/CMRoot/pioneer/us/images/agronomy/crop_insight/w...
Now read this... This amaranth and others are so tough, they actually cause damage to farm equipment, and as a last
resort, they need to be pulled by hand.
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/12/us/invader-storms-rural-america-shrugg...
Monsanto needs a stake driven through it's corporate heart.
I recently saw on a clip show, where he must have been paid off by Monsanto or Chevron or whoever makes it, but a farmer, when asked about DDT, actually poured himself a glass and drank it. This looked to be around 1970, when DDT was apparently the rage-cut to commercial and thats the last we heard from him. Now it may have just been a glass of water....
Actually over 100,000 Indian farmers committed suicide drinking Glysophate after suffering losses from growing GMO cotton. So the Monsatan lobyist lied twice. Not only is it a good suicide agent but many have used it for that purpose.
"One farmer every 30 minutes (commits suicide) in India now, and sometimes three in one family," explained Palagummi Sainath, an Indian journalist, to the U.K. Independent. Left with nowhere to turn and a complete loss of their livelihoods, many farmers are literally drinking their crop pesticides.
Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/030913_Monsanto_suicides.html#ixzz3VdGQPLFRYa well. For those who think this actually means anything, I have a couple questions: Do you eat bananas? How about pomegranates? Use bleach or common hand soap? All of those things and many, many commonly eaten foods are a thousand times worse than properly mixed round-up.
Hey look folks... that lying sack of carcinogens, Mr. Moore, is a participant on zerohedge. He uses the screen name Deus Irate.

"On the other hand, studies of human health records did not turn up convincing evidence of glyphosate's cancer-causing potential. A long-running study of farm workers, for instance, did not show higher rates of cancer among those exposed to the chemical."
http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/widely-used-herbicide-linked-t...
"Some academic scientists have sounded notes of caution over the IARC report. Oliver Jones, an analytical chemist at RMIT University in Melbourne, told the Science Media Center in London: “IARC evaluations are usually very good, but to me the evidence cited here appears a bit thin.” He added: “From a personal perspective, I am a vegetarian so I eat a lot of vegetables and I’m not worried by this report.”"
Have a nice day.

Apparently Monsanto needs younger shills. I guarantee most guys my age (26) (or really any dumbass in that 18-30 bracket) would drink this and try to do a convincing song and dance before and after. They'd be looking for less money, too
I am married to a biochemist, Mr. Moore. Glyphosate is a carcinogen, you stupid, stupid man. Monsanto: Get the Fuck Off of My Planet!! Mutherfuckin' fidouchebags!!
you like-ah the juice?
.... the juice is very good!
ddt dude was drinking ddt in front of the senate committee or somesuch. ddt was actually quite mild, agreed.
DRINK IT AND DIE, YOU POS.
DRINK IT....DRIIIIIIIIIIINK IIIITTTTTT............
We got a little rule back home: if it's brown, drink it down; if it's black, send it back.
I'm guessin' that was his last rodeo.

Lobbyist are like weeds in Washington. It would kill him.
I'm making over $7k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life. This is what I do... www.globe-report.com
Yes, being a gay prostitute is quite a life change. ^^^^^

If it continues, I reserve the right to release a hammer java script in which the offensive site shall be targeted, and recruit some in this forum to exercise their Rights in giving the perp an electronic flipping of the bird, so to speak..)
So how does it feel to whore out your momma?
So, is it more dangerous or less dangerous than Agent Orange? That was their baby, too.
Less dangerous. All my kids were born with two heads.
Roundup creates kids with 1 head, but no brain.
You're most of the way correct, however, your statement is a better fit for the present Democratic Party. The Republicans aren't much better though. It's become a gigantic Lemon Party Orgy between the aforementioned with We The Sheeple, the ones getting shafted.
I have to side with the Monsanto lobbyist, as I believe the interviewer threw him a catch-22.
If one is trying to prove to an interviewer that it is safe to drink your own urine... nobody is going to gladly drink their own urine just to prove a point. I'm sure it tastes nasty... especially after a BOGO sale on asparagus.
Moore is the one who said it would't hurt to drink a quart. It was a bald faced lie. He got caught in his outrageous lie, as the interviewer rightly exposed.
You've not convinced me because Gandhi drank his own pee. It was rather exhilirating for him as a morning elixir. Certainly more safe than eating one's own excrement, loaded with virii and all.
There should be a site that announces where all these parasites are buried so we can pay a visit and piss on their graves, might even start raining in hell :)
Dead people lying in their grave do not care about anything.
Find out where the people who are alive, especially people like Roundup's liar-for-hire from this interview, shop for groceries, and the restaurants they frequent, etc.
Lying, corruption and blatant 'in-your face' corruption by corporate, financial and governmental elite classes has reached staggering levels. With the Internet, World Wide Web and social media the masses have the tools at hand to publicly "shun" them enmass.
Example:
1) The doctor of death in this interview who says Round-Up is perfectly safe for idiots to drink, even though some researchers have suspicions it's playing a role in declining fertility in the west;
2) Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had her private email server's disk drive, containing all of her official State Department emails, wiped clean AFTER the Congressional committee investigating the Benghazi scandal requested her emails;
3) Every American with a savings account, an IRA, a 401(k) plan, a retirement plan, an annuity, a pension plan, etc., is being robbed by the Federal Reserve Bank. Six years and counting of Interest Rate Repression has funneled YOUR wealth to the TBTF banks and the Elites with access to $ millions, even $ billions, in loans at 0.25%.
4) And not a single politician from any party to represent you in Congress! Not one of the professional politicians does anything for you or speaks for you. I don't mean the lies they spew forth like vomit when they pander for your votes. I mean the only true measure is their actions. And their actions show they are beholden to their biggest campaign contributors. The professional political class are parasites.
5) Republican candidate for president Mitt Romney was so pathetic. His hedge fund made him even richer, taking over formerly successful companies laid low by 'free trade' versus Chinese companies with $1/day labor costs, and his access to 0.25% loans courtesy of the Fed. He was completely ignorant that the Fed gave him a can't lose business model of 0 down and take however much you need at 0.25%.
Unless, that is, everyone is happy about being pissed on by those who think they are both our self-appointed masters and above the Rule of Law.
One thing is certain, the corrupt political process is never going to give us redress for our grievances.
He could dilute it with vodka and OJ.
OJ killed a few people as well.
Moore: "Stop interrupting me while I'm lying to you. Only a complete jerk would call me on my lies. It's especially infuriating when I am not finished lying to you yet."
No I would have to disagree. Your pretty fucking stupid. That and unemployed upon leaving the set.
A local guy who grew tomatoes that I bought a few years ago, and they were delicious, superb tomatoes. told me one time that he got the seeds from a guy he knew in England. Said the guy grew these organic tomatoes in England for years and carefully propagated the seeds and sold those to clients around the world, No herbicides no poison was allowed to touch them.
The way he packaged them was to get a bubble pack and somehow run it through his printer printing a name and logo, wearing surgical gloves and also print a letter from a letterhead he managed to get from Monsanto, saying thank you for your inquiry, please find the approved seed samples that you requested.
We look forward to your further orders in the future.
The surgical gloves is a precaution against getting droned.
One time he said he was asked about the seeds, Said he called Monsanto some months back asking about tomato seed variety's and they just said they will get back to him and took his name and address, Then that parcel arrived,
That's it. Never heard more and the seeds always arrived on time
But he taught me a business practice I have not forgotten and have used it very profitably adapting it to my needs.
This also upsets me greatly.....it also involves Monsanto......
"Monsanto Forced Fox TV to Censor Coverage of Dangerous Milk Drug" and the reports were fired....

The Corbett report points out Monsanto's Glyphosate & what these chemicals are doing to all life forms http://bit.ly/1BspE0s
Don't hear much about what American Cyanamid is up to these days.
They been making poisons and gene splicing all the while I lived in NJ.
Guess .gov jumped up their ass.
I would have offered Moore a glass of water before the interview.
Then telling him he was drinking roundup during the interview.
Letting the bastard know how it feels to have no choice.
THAT is the most intelligent comment I've seen in this entire discussion. If I could give you 5-stars for it, hell, even 10-stars would likely fall short. Thank You for making my day!
"people try to commit suicide" by drinking it, and they fail regularly.
You are not only stupid...YOU ARE A RETARDED SOON TO BE UNEMPLOYED FUCKING IDIOT.
sry to all the legitimately retarded folk, you know...the ones that actually try to drink that shit.
How much does this knucklehead make? He seems pretty incompetent.
Moore actually cut-off the rest of the answers....he didn't say what he was really thinking...
I've taken the liberty to finish his answers in brackets for clearer interpretation and understanding...
There are a bunch of smart people on here surrounded by a hell of a lot more complete morons. The other day I posted that if I fly again I'm going to jack anyone who acts suspiciously and said morons took offense.
So I would love to hear your new flight safety strategy or do you like the prospect of flying face first into the ground?
Walk
I hate to defend a lobbyist, but this was pretty stupid and all theatrics. I would not drink a glass full of vitamin A, down a bottle of aspirin, or chug a bottle of Simple Green either. Not that this chemical crap isn't dangerous - which i think it is. Still though, there's a distinct difference between ppm and straight.
This A-Hole SAYS that it is safe to drink a quart of RoundUp and it won't hurt a human!
He's intentionally giving out false information on behalf of a company and it's product and then gets called on it...
and the best he can do is storm off.
Mother fucker! Making money by killing others.
The defenseless, the ignorant, and the children bear the brunt of the abuses.
I posted this story to my twitter before seeing this here, so I had hunted around to find the original video. Over half a million views in 1 day.
Here it is: youtu.be/ovKw6YjqSfM

This Monsanto huckster greaseball is just begging to be made into an ongoing SNL routine.
It is time to bring back Nathan Thurm.

<---- I'm with stupid.
Not a clever reaction. He could have said: "If I give a bad example, imagine all these kids watching me now on TV and drinking wheat killer for fun thereafter" or "it's safe but I tried and I don't like the taste"
I will leave it here: "Long term toxicity of a Roundup herbicide and a Roundup-tolerant genetically modified maize" (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0278691512005637) being the retracted article by Seralini et al. authorship. Even Wiki knows http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seralini_affair
Take out the wrong side carefully or move along.
