South Carolina Police Release Pictures Of Suspect In "Hate Crime" Shooting That Killed 9
Police have released photos of a white male they say is a suspect in the shooting that took the lives of nine people at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday evening.
As a reminder, around 9 pm EST last night, a white male in a grey sweatshirt and jeans opened fire inside Emanuel AME church during a prayer meeting.

Police are describing the tragedy as a hate crime. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center there are 19 active hate groups in South Carolina...

The scene was chaotic when police arrived and that officers thought they had the suspect tracked with a police dog, but he got away.
Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley called the shooting “the most unspeakable and heartbreaking tragedy.”
“The only reason that someone could walk into a church and shoot people praying is out of hate,” Mr. Riley said. “It is the most dastardly act that one could possibly imagine, and we will bring that person to justice.…This is one hateful person.”
The attack comes two months after the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man, Walter Scott, by a white police officer in neighboring North Charleston, which sparked major protests and highlighted racial tensions in the area. The officer has been charged with murder.
In a statement, Gov. Nikki Haley asked South Carolinians to pray for the victims and their families and decried violence on religious places.
“While we do not yet know all of the details, we do know that we’ll never understand what motivates anyone to enter one of our places of worship and take the life of another,” Mrs. Haley said.
Police moved members of the media back away from the site because of what they called an “imminent” threat but didn’t release any details.
The Emmanuel AME church is a historic African-American church that traces its roots to 1816, when several churches split from Charleston’s Methodist Episcopal church.
One of its founders, Denmark Vesey, tried to organize a slave revolt in 1822. He was caught, and white landowners had his church burned in revenge. Parishioners worshiped underground until after the Civil War.

Folks are not too bright. There is no way ( especially after receiving threats) that there is no formal security measure for entry into the church grounds.
At least 2 personnel on a gated entrance and another one or two at the front door. The Front door should have a security lock or buzz in.
Some might consider this suggestion extreme but i call it common sense to deter such incidents.

Most large churches that I know of have concealed armed security at all services. The armed security is made up of church members who are law enforcement or ex-military.

1) Clearly, if this was at 8 PM last night, then the time stamp is off by 12 hours. And it must be 24hr format, since there's no AM or PM.
2) More importantly, the crime supposedly took place on June 17.
3) If the date format is DD/MM/YYYY, then that would be June 7th, not the 17th. And June 7th was a SUNDAY, NOT A WEDNESDAY.
4) Cameras have built in calendars, so that when you set the date, the day of the week is AUTOMATICALLY filled in.
5) If the date format is MM/DD/YYYY, then that would be July 6th, 2015, which is a MONDAY.
This means that the WED in the time stamp must have been photo-shopped.
For those asking for "a link", just go back on your DVR to 6:35 am this morning on Fox & Friends and see for yourself.
Maybe the owner of the camera didn't set the clock. Occam's razor.

I have been telling people for awhile now.. there is growing resentment across the country against black people. A few blacks will tell you this is because of pres obama with his policies and general arrogance directed at white conservative groups. Racism is endemic in our species. The dream of multiculturalism flourishes during periods of economic expansion; racial strife rears its head during periods of prolonged contraction. The gun abolitionists will push their agenda while Middle America stocks up. I suspect this a one off event. It is sad that such an event took place but no governmental mechanism could have prevented it. The black community needs to get behind the second amendment and prepare to protect themselves. Had this happened in my church, several of the deacons would have drawn down on him. Our congregation is predominantly white with a sprinkling of Hispanics and Haitians.
