I've been taking an informal poll lately.
I'll ask friends and acquaintances, when the subject of the economy and jobs comes up, do they know anybody that seems to be doing swell? Do they go on vacation/s? Nice vehicles? Nice house? No worries? ...... Yes?
And, do they work for the government? Yes? How did I know, you ask. Just a hunch.
By this informal poll, it's about 90%.
Examples, from memory. Police, firefighters, A secret service agent ( White House, no less! Sits in a room, in the basement, and watches TV all day) I should probably redact that, but fuck 'em. Spooks, NSA, government contractors. They are walking in the highest cotton. Local government. Around here, nepotism reigns supreme. There are whole fucking families pulling a county government ck. it's better than an inheritance. Teachers. Pay not that great, but nice bennies, and a three month vacation. Living in Texas I can say that Hispanics have nothing on white folks when it comes to obesity. Plenty of fat whites, Mexicans and black folk everywhere I look. Further, while I do have issues with overweight people of all flavors, I have seen no real difference in work output between fat people and thin. I find it amazing and comical that the the health nuts will spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours working out, yet will absolutely and sometimes violently reject physical labor. They won't even mow their own damned yard..

If people had been forced to feel the direct and immediate pain of job loss to illegals as well as all of the other idiotic government policies, they would have been in the streets demanding it be stopped. Instead they were bought off with entitlements and easy debt that allowed them and our economy to speed toward toward the abyss. There would be zero unemployment if there were no entitlements to sustain us. We hear people screaming for increases in the minimum wage when in reality the minimum wage is established by the combined value of all available entitlements like reports show in states like NJ where a person would need to earn 65k a year to compare. That's the true minimum wage and as long as it exists, people will not work for less. It's not necessarily lazy to take free money in lieu of earned money, but it ultimately is destructive and not sustainable.
Further, the longer people live outside of the work force, the less able they become to work. It is a death spiral. Our government has deliberately printed and borrowed and loosened banking laws deliberately to allow this to happen. Our complete and absolute dependency is a must if they are to rule with the unaccountable power they desire.
And there are plenty of useful idiots all the way from bottom to top of this mess enabling it along. From the bleeding heart liberals intent on saving the world to the greedy who will sell their mother for a buck and all the rest who will simply ignore even the most obvious threats to their future for a chance at a good deal or better still something for nothing.
OW, I have wondered about something and you prompt me to actually ask. There are 94mm people in the US 'out of the workforce'. I realize the 67k Tyler came up with for .gub benefits are for someone in the ideal demographic, but there are benefits available for an assortment of situations. Of that 94mm, how many really want to go back to work? How many want to go back to work only if it produces more income than the bene's they are already getting? I don't know if any statistics are available, so I am asking for anecdotal cases you guys may have known. I mean 67k is higher than the median family income in the US currently. Anything close must make it a tough call between going back to work and playing candy crush or whatever the fuck these phonetards do.
The work ethic is not natural but ingrained by thousands of years of evolution which informs us that if we do not "work" we will not survive. But in nature I don't think any of us really want to work. If we do it is because we are instilled with values and much of it is wrapped in our sense of self worth...our pride. Again something learned and passed down, but not an auto reflex.
There are those bleeding hearts who cannot bear to see struggle and hardship in others and will seek to amend it. Some choose to use their own assets to provide remedy or relief, but most ultimately will choose a collective solution, using money from the nameless and shameless "people". Those who use their own money will tend to be more tempered and do so more judiciously, making decisions on who most deserves and needs it versus the typical parasite that appears. Those using collective assets tend to be less selective except in those cases where the recipient is not aligned to the necessary power structures that allow these dogooders access to such funds. These "collective" types who rely on force of law to compel the collective's generosity also tend to find it their source of sustenance and power.
This why we are told "DO NOT FEED THE BEARS". We don't hate bears. We are not indifferent to the bears hunger. We simply understand that indiscriminate charity destroys their ability to feed themselves. Further, we understand that those bears who become dependent on charity will at first become insistent and eventually violent when that charity is not forth coming. No one wants the bears to starve which is why we find ways to care for them when needed which does not destroy their survival skills and make them dependent.
Now, if bears could vote, if they could render power onto those who might feed them, then the paradigm might be quiet different.
If our leaders really cared about the plight of others, then why, after the trillions spent to end hunger and poverty, not to mention that spent to educate and enable us to prosper, do we have more hunger, more poverty and more ignorance than ever?
It is obvious to me that what they really want is a bunch of hungry bears that they can use to wield power against anyone who would deny them. The power of dependency. Something that should obviously fail over time if our productivity continues to decline, having eaters increasingly outnumbering producers. Unfortunately hunger and fear are the whips they will use to enslave us and motivate their armies and gestapo.

Right now the FEDs are doing right with me. I'm going to college and getting by fine. I always complain because the nation has been taken over by criminals and they are very dangerous to the future of everyone. It is difficult to philosophically justify taking advantage of the opportunities available when the opportunities are available because of corruption. So I think of it this way. Do the best with what I've been given and be helpful whenever I can. Believe that the individual and the individuals relationship to God, Nature and family are the most meaningful concerns that a person can have. Then whatever I could possibly contribute to a better world will be in my path. If everyone did this, things would likely get better.

Most people want to work. But only shitty jobs. I'm a mechanic. I called up an ad for mechanic at a chain tire store called NTB. National ,Tire, and Battery. They were paying 9/hr and bring you own tools.
I've been working from my house last couple of years. Money is tight but beats giving my blood and sweat for close to minimum wage.
Many people aren't lazy and would love to work but the jobs are shit unless you have at least masters degree or top dog skills in engineering or technical field.

I think historically the "need" to work has not been universal even within certain cultures. The one human trait that I think is pretty universal is the desire for something for nothing and government entitlements are EXACTLY that. Even the most conservative workaholic will eventually crumble to the persistence of more and more people living as well if not better while doing absolutely nothing for it. Any person would. Even those of us who believe with all of our heart that it will ultimately destroy us will eventually rationalize sloth, especially if we think to actually work is subsidizing those who are not.
There is nothing sustainable about this and ultimately makes as much sense as looting before a world killing asteroid strikes our planet. We can bemoan the theoretical climate change that will destroy the planet (actually just destroying ourselves) and many feel compelled to demand we change our evil ways in response, yet we see Armageddon in our economic headlights due to this madness of incentivizing a collapse in productivity, and see nothing to worry about, only insisting we "pedal down" to get to our destination even sooner.

Historically, people were born with land rights. No, really. Every child born was either born a slave, or they were born with rights to farm and exist on a piece of land.
If one was born a slave, the slave's owner had rights and obligations that were tied to his land rights. Throughout the whole system, the existence of human beings was tied to land rights of some kind.
The modern world is a recent and radical departure from this long history of people having a legitimate right to exist on earth. The idea that people are born having to pay for the right to exist, oftentimes paying INTEREST on an inherited debt for your parents right to exist, is very novel and recent. It is less than 300 hundred years old, and in much of the world it is not even established yet.
Technology has allowed the hiers to feudal obligations to create a bizzare world of credit madness, where mon ey has replaced land and money has been debased so much that we can abrely count the zeos anyore. Billion, trillion, quazillion. It is all just a whole lot of zeros to explain the shrinking value of the new deal.
Curiously, if you offered a world wide referendum on the notion that everyone would be born with land rights, and that inherited debts are unlawful, most folks would grab the offer with both hands. I would. Free land, right?
We are all such bitter reactionaries.
How many would be able or willing to feed themselves from their land? No creature is born into this world with anything but their physical body and mind. that is all that IS. It is what we do with that that matters. We have the right to use those assets to procure what we can in a very competitive world. We will come together for common goals, good and bad, most times voluntarily surrendering some degree of our abilities to pursue independent goals if we believe the common goals outweigh them.
Increasingly people find themselves tied to these common goals at first passively and then unwillingly and forcibly....but we still have what we are born with, we just find ourselves so deeply compromised that we are incapable of using it. It is these compromised assets that I believe create so much tension and derision and ultimately self hate and self destruction in our lives.
What we have is a growing severe conflict with our need to survive while watching our odds diminish, as we KNOW we need to work and save to do so, while being subliminally and directly told we shouldn't have to. No one wants to have to struggle but that is what life has always been for every living thing on this planet, and every day we choose to ignore or deny this our inner self KNOWS we are committing suicide.
It is not the struggle to survive and succeed that is Hell, it is this internal struggle with what we KNOW versus what we want to believe.
We are all born with the right to produce for ourselves and the right to try and defend what we have produced, so why are we not? Why are we crying bitterly that others are not respecting these "rights" when we choose not to defend or use them? Why do we choose to believe others who tell us we shouldn't have to while also telling us we should voluntarily surrender those "rights" and abilities for the good of the fictional "collective"?
This internal conflict is destroying us and while humans have always had this issue naturally, it is being deliberately exacerbated by those will use it to dominate us.
What you are experiencing is the result of two important human labor componets.
1. Abundant and available labor. Put another way - There is little to no labor competition amongst Corporations.
2. Within this lack of labor competition, there is no scarcity of skills that can be exploited by a numerically limitied skilled labor.
On the skilled labor category. Between 1995 to 2015 we have probably imported 5 million tech workers competing with our own college grads.
On the unskilled labor category. During the same period we have allowed close to 20 million unskilled labor to invade the US. Probably 1/2 or more of that number is working as illegals in the underground economy.
Most Americans do not understand any of this. There is no meanigfull way for me explain it to people that do not want to hear it.
What if there was something besides jobs to look forward to when things improve? What is a "job" anyway?

I just spoke with friend who has shortage of welders in NY, I spent a week on Jersey shore and all the kids serving me were from Eastern Europe, students for the summer break, having in mind airplanes thickets cost 1000$ and they must rent for two months, the fact that they are not working in Western Europe but in USA is telling me that they are making way more money here.
They've been coming here for years, they work the amusement parks too. It used to just be kids from Western European countries a couple of decades ago.
