Former High Ranking US Senator Wants To "Hang Edward Snowden On The Courthouse Square"

It appears the past few days have represented a sort of coming out party for formerly powerful players in the U.S. government to showcase their fascist tendencies. Earlier today, I highlighted General Wesley Clark’s clear suggestion during a MSNBC interview that Americans who are “disloyal” should be forcibly separated from the “normal” general population through the use of WWII style internment camps.
In the latest display, video has emerged of former Republican Senator, and ex-vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, saying that Edward Snowden should be hanged in the courthouse square. What ever happened to fair trials?

The U.S. should publicly hang leaker Edward Snowden if and when he falls into the government’s hands, according to the former top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee.
“We need to hang him on the courthouse square as soon was we get our hands on him,” retired Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) — who served as vice chairman of the powerful intelligence panel before stepping down from Congress last year — said during an appearance at the University of Georgia this month.
“I hope none of you have any sympathy for him,” he told students at the Terry College of Business.

It’s as if these guys are publicly auditioning for a top job within the financial-miliatry-cyber-industrial complex.

Traitorous swine like these politicians have no business talking about hanging people.
He's right insofar as that the penalty for treason is in fact "death". What he's failing to admit (although he knows it) is that Snowden is a hero who certainly has not done anything wrong, let alone treasonous. But Chambliss and darned near every other member of congress sure as hell has committed treason dozens of times. Every single time they pass a bill without reading it for example. That is treasonous.
They had better be damned careful about pressing the rules on treason if they don't want their own necks lengthened an inch or two.

TEA PARTY ROCK STAR Marco Rubio said the same thing a few months back.
every tea partier I know was all about the law being upheld after they'd broken it or driven a truck through every loophole that existed. Now they want to close the loopholes for everyone else.
Whether Rubio said that or not, I don't know, but he is no Tea Party rock star.
No mention of due process. Are we free to say, with impunity, "We need to hang him [Chambliss] on the courthouse square as soon as we get our hands on him."? Just a question. I certainly wouldn't condone such revolutionary behavior. That would be wrong.
Edit: I strongly condemn Suxby's provocative statement.
If Saxby was asked how much better the country is now, after his many years in the Senate, I think he might quiet down a bit.
