Washington's "Fifth Columns" Inside Russia And China

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Paul Craig Roberts,

It took two decades for Russia and China to understand that “pro-democracy” and “human rights” organizations operating within their countries were subversive organizations funded by the US Department of State and a collection of private American foundations organized by Washington. The real purpose of these non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is to advance Washington’s hegemony by destabilizing the two countries capable of resisting US hegemony.

Washington’s Fifth Columns pulled off “color revolutions” in former Russian provinces, such as Georgia, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin and Ukraine, a Russian province for centuries.

When Putin was last elected, Washington was able to use its Fifth Columns to pour thousands of protesters into the streets of Russia claiming that Putin had “stolen the election.” This American propaganda had no effect on Russia, where the citizen back their president by 89%. The other 11% consists almost entirely of Russians who believe Putin is too soft toward the West’s aggression. This minority supports Putin as well. They only want him to be tougher. The actual percentage of the population that Washington has been able to turn into treasonous agents is only 2-3 percent of the population. These traitors are the “Westerners,” the “Atlantic integrationists,” who are willing for their country to be an American vassal state in exchange for money. Paid to them, of course.

But Washington’s ability to put its Fifth Columns into the streets of Moscow had an effect on insouciant Americans and Europeans. Many Westerners today believe that Putin stole his election and is intent on using his office to rebuild the Soviet Empire and to crush the West. Not that crushing the West would be a difficult thing to do. The West has pretty much already crushed itself.

China, obsessed with becoming rich, has been an easy mark for Washington. The Rockefeller Foundation is supporting pro-American Chinese professors in the universities. US corporations operating in China create superfluous “boards” to which the relatives of the ruling political class are appointed and paid high “directors’s fees.” This compromises the loyalty of the Chinese ruling class.

Hoping to have compromised the Chinese ruling class with money, Washington then launched its Hong Kong NGOs in protests, hoping that the protests would spread into China and that the ruling class, bought with American money, would be slow to see the danger.

Russia and China finally caught on. It is amazing that the governments of the two countries that Washington regards as “threats” were so tolerant of foreign-financed NGOs for so long. The Russian and Chinese toleration of Washington’s Fifth Columns must have greatly encouraged the American neoconservatives, thus pushing the world closer to conflict.

But as they say, all good things come to an end.

The Saker reports that China finally has acted to protect itself from Washington’s subversion: http://www.vineyardsaker.co.nz/2015/07/30/chinas-ngo-law-countering-western-soft-power-and-subversion-by-eric-draitser/

Russia, also, has acted in her defense: http://www.globalresearch.ca/kicked-out-of-russia-moscow-challenges-washingtons-orwellian-national-endowment-for-democracy/5466082

We Americans need to be humble, not arrogant. We need to acknowledge that American living standards, except for the favored One Percent, are in long-term decline and have been for two decades. If life on earth is to continue, Americans need to understand that it is not Russia and China, any more than it was Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Assad, Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia, that are threats to the US. The threat to the US resides entirely in the crazed neoconservative ideology of Washington’s hegemony over the world and over the American people.

This arrogant goal commits the US and its vassal states to nuclear war.

If Americans were to wake up, would they be able to do anything about their out-of-control-government? Are Europeans, having experienced the devastating results of World War I and World War II, capable of understanding that the incredible damage done to Europe in those wars is minuscule compared to the damage from nuclear war?

If the EU were an intelligent and independent government, the EU would absolutely forbid any member country from hosting a US anti-ballistic missile or any other military base anywhere close to Russia’s borders.

The Eastern European lobby groups in Washington want revenge on the Soviet Union, an entity that is no longer with us. The hatred transmits to Russia. Russia has done nothing except to have failed to read the Wolfowitz Doctrine and to realize that Washington intends to rule the world, which requires prevailing over Russia and China.

China and Russia have enough home grown problems to liberty through their massive and controlling states, the efforts of US politicians to enact their fantasies are not their biggest problems.

Russian soldiers guard 'DNR' heavy weapons storage point: OSCE Report

During the inspection of militant-controlled heavy weapons storage sites in Ukraine's region of Donetsk, OSCE monitors reported that a soldier from the Russian Armed Forces was guarding the facility.

This was stated in the OSCE's daily report of the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine for August 2:

"An armed man guarding the facility at one of the sites claimed that he and those present at the site were part of the 16th airborne brigade from Orenburg, Russian Federation. They did not wear identifying insignia."

According to open sources, there is no 16th Airborne Brigade in the structure of the Russian Armed Forces. There is only the 16th Spetsnaz brigade based out of Chuchkov; three servicemen from that special forces unit are widely thought to have died in eastern Ukraine in May.

Plus, Ukraine shares a long border of Russia. A better question is - What are "we" doing over there, thousands of miles from America? Vicky Nuland-Kagan is launched a coup d'etat. We have sniper assassins shooting both sides at the demo to bring Vicky's pot/ plot to boil. We have the uniformed, heavily armed guy in Maripol yelling "Get that camera out of my face." as he runs by. And of course OCSC has proven to be a tool of the zinos.

"Vicky Nuland-Kagan is launched a coup d'etat."

So how did she - in your version – got out in the snow millions of people for month to protest against Viktor Yanukovych risking and losing their lives? What was the way she communicated those masses and what did she said to them to motivate this protest?

Reality is – people of Ukraine were sick and tired from Yanukovych corruption – they understand that as closer Ukraine got to putin regime – corruption only rise more and more. So they demanded to stop this. They demanded to for pro-EU direction. That is what people wanted. But Yanukovych didn’t fulfill that demand what people of Ukraine wanted – and was forced to flee from people of Ukraine. Now he is charged for different corruption crimes. Have you ever listen to Yanukovych speeches? Are you aware of his lies?

It’s a pity people in west doesn’t understand Russian – it would be so much easier for them to understand what happens in Ukraine & Russia.

Fifty US dollars per day was sufficient motivation. Got to admit, much better than the potato you earn each day for the copypaste from the State Department manual.

Go to Nuland and ask for a biscuit, boar.

Sure, the people of the Ukraine were so sick of corruption they opted for a super corrupt Zio Kike Oligarch USSA backed and staked government. BTW, remember the crazy Kike "President" of Georgia, guess where he's turned up now :" Mikheil Saakashvili is a Georgian and Ukrainian politician. He is the current Governor of Ukraine's Odessa Oblast" Versatile chap,he is.

1. When people went out in the streets in revolution - they didn't know how it will end up. What will be new government. So with that your argument ends.

2. "super corrupt Zio Kike Oligarch USSA backed and staked government."

- there was open democratic president & parliament elections recognizes by whole world including Russia. New government is pro-EU and introducing lot of reforms to take out corruption that has huge roots in all levels. Corroption is inherited from USSR times and Yanukovich. It’s not so easy to remove. It can’t be done in one day – but there is progress.

3. “remember the crazy Kike "President" of Georgia, guess where he's turned up now :" Mikheil Saakashvili is a Georgian and Ukrainian politician. He is the current Governor of Ukraine's Odessa Oblast" Versatile chap,he is.”

He has special approach but his intentions are good. Just look at this video how he attacked this rich guy who build a fence to beach so that ordinary citizens could not access it. He made it disappear. Good guy! You can’t imagine such guy in Russia.

Neo-Stalinist usurper criminals have been in charge and directing policy for quite some time now. It was progressives that created the FED and imposed income tax on American citizens back in 1913 for crying out loud. America has marched steady left since then. Neocon idiots follow the progressive murdering criminal lead.

All these articles railing against the big neocon boogey man in charge are a sneaky type of damage control for the progressive murderer brand. Don't fall for it.

All Progressives are murdering criminals and the face of death for millions.

All fiat money is ultimately backed by violence.

Alternate money systems are forbidden everywhere because it is the mechanism of power. Whoever controls the money controls the economy and the wealth and well being of the nation.

What's in your wallet?

Your own debt borrowed with interest from a bank.

Russia, China finally protecting themselves ? Good, even I'm no fan of Chinese communist party it's still better than being subverted to American control like the unfortunate Japan is.

Protect you culture, traditions and borders is the RIGHT thing to do, you need also to crush the globalist modernist culture too, who is completely cheap and destructive.

For a while now I've been saying that to understand US foreign policy, one needs to spend some time with  a good atlas.  My point was to note that every country where the US has a major fighting presence, or where there have been major outbreaks of "Islamist" violence is on the perimeter of Russia, China, or the E.U.; or sits on top of reserves of strategic resources; or sits on the trade routes those resources have to travel to get to markets (like Russia, China, or the E.U.).

Just from charting the news on an atlas, one sees a ring of dumpster fires encircling...Russia, China and the E.U.  Places where civil society has been destroyed, the fault lines and fracture points between groups have all been exploited, triggered and inflamed.  Places where the only forces that can accomplish anything are those which can project military power anywhere on Earth at any time.  And of course, there's only one such nation today.

My prediction has been that we'd see "spontaneous" civil unrest and "Color Revolutions" in the -Stan countries of central Asia, and maybe the Muslim areas of western China.  And sure enough, last week I saw a news story that Kyrgyzstan was clamping down on western-funded NGO's.  The story was copy/pasted from other stories about other countries which have done the same thing, and contained all the dog-whistle code-words about Kyrgyzstan's "dictator," "repressive society," "anti-democratic" bent, etc.  I'm sure I wouldn't want to live in Kyrgyzstan myself, as a pudgy American middle-aged man, but Kyrgyzstan didn't change recently.  We were just fine with them until they started taking action against CIA infiltration.  And why would they do that?  Because it was goiing on, and starting to look like it would become a problem to their Elites.

So yes, the US is still working on the Wolfowitz/Brzezinski dream of conquering Eurasia, and replacing Russia and China with multiple small, weak, warring vassal-states.  And US Elites are willing to destroy America to destroy Russia, China and the E.U.  It's a zero-sum game to them.

The lead dog gets the fish and the second eats the fish head.

It seems the general consensus in Washington is that it's better to be the lead dog even if you have to take a few scars to stay there.

It's a mammal thing.
