"They Have To Go"; Trump Vows To Deport All Illegal Immigrants

Tyler Durden's picture

"You’re going to love me on immigration," Donald Trump told a crowd of reporters and fans who gathered in Iowa to hear the billionaire speak after he landed in a $7 million Sikorsky.

Trump, who drew sharp criticism in some circles after suggesting that Mexican immigrants were responsible for rape and drug addiction in the US, hasn’t backed down on calls for a tougher stance on immigration and to be sure, some voters share his views, even if they don’t necessarily agree with the rather uncouth way in which they were presented.

Trump’s call for the construction of a "wall" along America’s southern border is diametrically opposed to President Obama’s push to shield nonviolent immigrants from deportation. An executive order from the President designed to speed up efforts to overhaul immigration drew sharp criticism from Republican governors who moved to block the order earlier this year.

On Saturday, Trump told NBC’s Chuck Todd that if he were elected in 2016, Obama’s executive order would be immediately rescinded. In an exclusive interview given aboard Trump’s private 757, the GOP frontrunner also told Todd that he would deport all illegal immigrants. “They have to go,” he insisted. Here’s more:

Donald Trump would reverse President Obama's executive orders on immigration and deport all undocumented immigrants from the U.S. as president, he said in an exclusive interview with NBC's Chuck Todd.

"We're going to keep the families together, but they have to go," he said in the interview, which will air in full on NBC's "Meet the Press" this Sunday.

Pressed on what he'd do if the immigrants in question had nowhere to return to, Trump reiterated: "They have to go."

"We will work with them. They have to go. Chuck, we either have a country, or we don't have a country," he said.

Speaking on Trump's gilded private plane as it idled on a runway in Des Moines, Iowa, the real-estate mogul and Republican presidential frontrunner offered the first outlines of the immigration policy proposals he'd implement from the Oval Office.

Trump said, to begin, "we have to" rescind Obama's executive order offering those brought to the U.S. illegally as children — known as DREAMers — protection from deportation, as well as Obama's unilateral move to delay deportation for their families as well.

"We have to make a whole new set of standards" for those immigrating to the US.

While short on particulars, that's about as unequivocal as you can get when it comes to a clearly communicated policy stance.

The interesting thing to note here is that as we revealed in June, "since the start of the Second Great Depression, the US has added 2.3 million 'foreign-born' workers, offset by just 727K 'native-born'. This means that the 'recovery' has almost entirely benefited foreign-born workers, to the tune fo 3 to 1 relative to native-born Americans."

Because our analysis of what we called the "illegal immigrant recovery" seems particularly apt here, we'll excerpt the relevant passages below.

*  *  *

How does the BLS determine a foreign-born worker? This is its definition:

The foreign born are persons who reside in the United States but who were born outside the country or one of its outlying areas to parents who were not U.S. citizens. The foreign born include legally-admitted immigrants, refugees, temporary residents such as students and temporary workers, and undocumented immigrants. The survey data, however, do not separately identify the numbers of persons in these categories.

In other words, the "foreign-born" catogory includes both legal and illegal immigrants unfortunately, the BLS is unable, or unwilling, to distinguish between the two.

As a result, it may well be, that the surprise answer why America's labor productivity (which recently posted its worst 6 month stretch in 22 years) has plummeted in recent years and certainly months, confounding economists who are unable to explain why "solid" labor growth does not translate into just as solid GDP growth...

... and why wage growth has gone precisely nowhere, is because the vast majority of all jobs since December 2007, or 75% to be specific, have gone to foreign-born workers, a verifiable fact. What is unknown is how many of these millions of "foreign-born" jobs have gone to illegal immigrant who are perfectly willing to work hard, and yet whose wage bargaining power is absolutely nil (after all they are happy just to have a job) thereby leading to depressed wages for native-born workers in comparable jobs, resulting in wage growth which over the past 8 years has been non-existent.

Incidentally, this is the same lack of wage growth which has allowed the Fed to pump some $4 trillion into the stock market. Because far more than merely a domestic politics issues, the lack of wage growth and downstream inflation, is precisely what has permitted the Fed to maintain QE as long as it has.

In other words, how many illegal workers cross the US border, may be the biggest variable shaping US monetary policy at the moment! And, in thought-experiment land, the more porous US immigration policy the longer the Fed will be allowed to maintain its ZIRP/QE experiment, and the higher the S&P will rise.

Could it be that illegal immigration is the best friend of that 0.1% of the US population which has benefited exclusively from the Fed's relentless injection of liquidity into risk assets via either ZIRP of QE?

Note: this is not meant to come down on either side of the illegal immigration debate: the upcoming presidential elections will do enough of that. It merely seeks to fill a gaping hole in economist models which are unable to explain or rationalize why America's seemingly "booming" jobs recovery, which is "firing on all fours" according to the BLS, is not manifesting itself in either inflationary pressures, or broad economic productivity.

complicated issue, if you have a green card i assume you are documented. there are people in this country for decades on a green card. what is the path to citizenship for them? i was reading some history of the US and it turns out before WW2 we had the same problem with the Japanese, there were Japanese people here for decades without a path to citizenship. then the war started and we threw them all into camps.. in this instance Trumps border fence was already funded by W Bush, they spent a trillion is this is what they have. war with mexico is not impossible, since the country is essentially run by drug cartels. the fence is a dumb idea, a war is much better.. a war of liberation.

All green card holders have legal residency.  You can be a legal resident and never become a citizen, no big deal.  If you have a green card 5+ years, you can take a citizenship test and become a citizen, or you can remain a legal resident and renew your green card every 10 years.  Not complicated.

At the very least the MSM ban on discussion of immigration, even if only illegal at this point, has been breached.

Ann Coulter Right, Fred Reed Wrong, On Mexico’s Age Of Consent (And Litter)

Former Los Angeles School Teacher speaking of Mexican students:
"The rare white student was constantly harassed with comments like “Shut the Fuck up Whitey” or worse."

Luis Gutierrez Explodes After Being Called Out For Belittling Murders by Immigrants (in Spanish)

A few weeks ago, Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-La Raza) belittled the death of Kate Steinle at the hands of an illegal immigrant who had been deported multiple times. Of course, he did it in Spanish on the television network Telemundo.

REP. LUIS GUTIERREZ: Every time a little thing like this happens, they use the most extreme example to say it must be eliminated. [Rep. Luis Gutierrez calls murder of Kate Steinle a “little thing” on Telemundo, by Yuri Perez, Newsbusters, July 16, 2015]

In Spanish, that’s
Cada vez que sucede una pequeña cosa como esta, utilizan el ejemplo más extremo para decir que se debe eliminar.
You can listen to him say it below–even if you don’t know Spanish, the tone speaks volumes:

http://www.mrctv.org/embed/137503

But of course, it’s important to remember that Luis Gutierrez is actually a far-right, xenophobic, ultra-patriotic nationalist with an expansionist vision for his people. Unfortunately for Americans, his loyalty and identity have nothing to do with this country and our people.

Therefore, the report notes:

This was a deeply disingenuous thing for Gutierrez to say about Steinle’s murder: In English, he said he could “only imagine the grief her family is feeling” on the Congressional record. One week later, he said in Spanish her death was “a little thing.” Politicians talk out both sides of their mouth, but thanks to mass immigration, the U.S. can see its elected representatives do so in different languages.

If present immigration trends continue and the United States of America continues its degeneration into a hodgepodge of feuding ethnic tribes, we will see more of this. It’s already bipartisan – Jeb Bush also tells Spanish language audiences one thing while telling Anglo-Americans something else entirely.

Either you have the will to stop it, in which case no big deal, or you don't.  So question for Americans, which of their candidates actually has the will to stop the flood of illegals.

If you increase the supply of labour then the price of labour will drop, supply and demand.

Absolute 101 of economics, but why do we never hear a politician mention this inconvenient fact?  The people being screwed over by immigration are the lowest paid, all to create a small number of well paid jobs.  It is even more of an insanity in Europe where the cost per a person of the welfare state means a low paid workers actually lowers the standard of living for everyone else, at least until people throw their hands up and admit the ever growing pension and healthcare liability is unaffordable.

If Trump was for real and cared about American jobs,

he would ask all H1B workers out since tens of thousands engineers, nurses, doctors, college teachers, University professors are jobless,

he would put big trade tariffs on sales in the US from companies that outsource good American jobs like Apple, MS, Goggle, FB etc., as well as Chinese manufacturers, he would prohibit all local and state and federal government to outsource any jobs or contract with foreigners including purchasing of commodities,

if Trump was for real he would increase capital gains tax to at least 50%, close HF billionaires’ , and offshore companies loopholes and complete eliminate income tax on wages, no more W2s,

if Trump was for real he would deflate stock/bond bubbles by instituting substantial transaction tax and go after inside traders, HFT schemes and speculators,

he would arrest and prosecute all TBTF banksters and one off 100% tax on new JPM and GS and other thieving billionaires

all before focusing on deporting illegals.

There are complex issues that simplistic and populistic Trump’s paper persona would not even touch in his pretend, bite and switch pseudo campaign conducted not unlike to the rest of political puppets on the stage.

I like those of your ideas that are focused on punishing the cabal that got us into this mess in the first place.

Unfortunately, a lot of your ideas punish good capital formation and small businesses as well as the cabal.

Destroying capital formation by confiscatory taxes on capital gains and transactions while not addressing the illegal alien problem would be the worst thing that you could do to our economy.

I agree with the elimination of H1B visas, and better tariff regimes, but doing that alone will not solve the problem.

Great article ZH.

This is absolutely on the money, and it is about time someone did something about it.

Excessive immigration, legal and otherwise, is what is destroying America's culture and economy.

If a business is so dependent on illegal labor that it cannot survive without it, then it is benefitting at the expense of all other Americans that pay for the hidden cost of that illegal labor (higher unemployment, lower wages, health care, increased crime and law enforcement costs, education, destruction of our American culture and quality of life) and increasing its profits at the expense of society.

This is why illegal immigration never stops, because unethical and selfish cabalist businesses benefit from it at the expense of real Americans - pure and simple.

Other businesses have been forced to adapt and pass higher costs through to consumers without destroying the culture from which they benefit for profit.

Nobody asked the American people if they were prepared to trade the destruction of their society for cheaper vegetables - but that is the decision that was made for us by an elite that has no regard for the white European peoples that built this country.

Whether or not Donald Trump is for real or not, is not the real issue.

The issue is whether or not we will finally address our catastrophic and white-genocidal immigration policy.

Whether or not you like Donald Trump, he at least is prepared to address the 500 pound Gorilla in the room that nobody else is willing to talk about.

What most commentors fail to recognize is that it's not immigrants that are stealing most jobs from Americans - its the fact that all big US companies have outsourced almost all jobs to cheap labor in foreign countries.  So the idea that kicking out illegal immigrants will lead to rise in US wages is complete bullshit.  The reality is that more and more US companies are sending blue collar AND white collar work to  places like India and China where people are prepared to work long hours for slave wages.

It is undeniable that a great global rebalancing is taking place.  The US middle class needs to face the fact  they are now competing in a global marketplace.  Until they are prepared to accept drastically reduced wages and conditions their jobs are NEVER coming back - regardless of the number of illegal immigrants in the US.

Within 10 years time I expect to see the standard of living of most Americans reduced to the level of the Indian and Chinese workers we are competing with.  It's going to be a painful process.

When I start to see snotty nosed children of previously middle class US families picking through piles of garbage on the outskirts of town,  looking for scraps of food (similar to what I saw in Bangalore and Hyderabad last year) then I will know the process is underway.  Jobs will finally start to come back to America.  It won't be the kind of America they we grew up with - but that America is gone for good anyway.

OMG, there's NO WAY Trump is trying to pull a fast one on us here.  He's never bamboozled anyone in his life before, ever.  His record is spotless.

People saying he plays both sides of the field are merely hallucinating. And why the big deal on all the bankruptcies?  Its not like anyone has to cover the shortfalls.  They just magically disappear into the ether.

I've watched screen plays in football constantly and there is not even a whiff of Trump trying to drive the illegal Mexican vote straight to Hitlerry at mach 3 velocity.

Viva Trump!

Trump has actually done something with his life. Hillary (and Bill) have sucked off the government tit for the majority of their lives. Hillary is a crimial, Trump is a builder. It's pretty obvoius who to vote for.

Bail Ins are coming.  You can be sure that there will be exclusions.  Bank application includes:

Are you related to a government official in high office:  Yes  No

If so, how ____________

Name of politician ______________

Spared of interest and bail ins. the fat cats not on the List are going to feel the brunt of a bankrupt nation to hostile entities in a coordinated overthrow of the United States government and the murder or ruin of anyone in the way.  You can't stand there and let this go on.  These people are mentally ill.  They have been away from the public domain for so long, they've lost the ability to appreciate individuality and the gifts each person has to share.

If you want to maintain a sovereign nation, you should support Trump.

The hypocrites that have used Imigrant labor to transform their shit box houses into McMansions to save $$$, embrase the lower cost, all the while pretending to ignore the reality of what they are contributing to.

The contractors have cashed in on this trend of underpaying imigrants for years while making extra $$$.

It's pathetic as these Merican's want to be mini-Trumps.

Now that that trend is waning, it's Get the Fuck OUT!

I don't believe any of you Koch (cock) lovers do as much work in a month as these people do in a day. So go paint your own damn house and mow your own lawn!

BTW. All you new bloggers need to read the ZH agreement regarding racisim. Believing someone is inferior to you does not make your ass superior- just insecure and childish!

People can relate or understand about jobs which have moved overseas...millions of manufacturing jobs have moved to China, Mexico, and other 3rd world countries.

However when 1 million or more illegal immigrants come to America...we are "in-sourcing" jobs to them because Americans jobs usually go to the lowest bidder. They will work for low wages...because there is no alternative. So if illegal immigrants are exported back to their country...then people ask..who will fill their shoes...don't know...probably wages would have to increase to bring back American workers.

I can't help but to think Trump is a Leftist plant.  Perhaps he is unelectable and only in the race to ensure the Leftist candidate is elected?  Hitlery's felonies are being ignored by the sheeple as Trump sucks all of the O2 from the media cycle.  In the meantime, he will do as much damage as possible, i.e., make sure Hispanics never vote R in the futuro.  I'm just thinking out loud.

I picked berries in central California as a teenager with my mother while my father ( a Marine ) was away in VietNam as a way to supplement the family budget.  I was happy doing it ( being outdoors and in the sun ) and took great pride in knowing I was helping out the family.  I also believe it taught me my first lesson in work ethic ... do what is expected of you and you will be rewarded.

It is a crying shame that our children today are being deprived of this experience.

This go-round I don't mind voting for someone based on one issue. Everything else is going to go down the toilet on autopilot anyway, for four years at least -- print, don't print, fuck a duck. There's nothing the politicos can do, one way or another, that's going to do jack, except on illegal immigration. When it comes to the legitimate functions of government numero uno is to police the border against invasion. The Democrats and Republicans, both, have been bending the voters over the table on this issue since Reagan. Finally we find out that the electorate has had it and then some with the bullcrap, the very split second that they are offered someone talking straight, in line with what they think. Trump may well ride this horse into the Oval Office, and that may very well be a good thing.

That would eliminate every single fucking one of the Kenyan's special friends. Millions of them.

It's a good place to start a negotiation. Trump is negotiating with the voters right now but once is is president he won't be negotiating with us any longer he will be dealing directly with the deer in the headlights Oligarchs that run the universe. This guy is going to get hit before he makes it to far down the road, or maybe he will make a deal with them to drop out for some $$$$????

Trump For President!  Reasons to vote for Trump:  He is not a Freemason.  Reason Enough!

http://www.whale.to/b/jews_and_freemasonry.html

“GENTILE masonry blindly serves as a screen for us and our objects, but the plan of action of our force, even its very abiding-place, remains for the whole people an unknown mystery.” (The Protocols of Zion, 4:2)

"Ray Novosel, writing from Australia in 2004, states:  "Zionist world leaders, men in influential positions with the various Masonic organizations everywhere, have worked "hand in glove" for a universal world revolution, which will bring in the One World Church and a One World Government. Many Masonic Lodges are exclusively Jewish, as are the controlling B'nai B'rith Lodges —the mother of the infamous and very dangerous Anti Defamation League (ADL)."

Sign here:

"...Further, that I will not give the Grand Masonic word, in any other manner or form than that in which I shall receive it, and then in a low breath. Further, that I will not give the Grand Hailing Sign of distress except in case of the most imminent danger, in a just and lawful Lodge, or for the benefit of instruction; and if ever I should see it given, or hear the words accompanying it, by a worthy brother in distress, I will fly to his relief, if there is a greater probability of saving his life than losing my own. All this I most solemnly, sincerely promise and swear, with a firm and steady resolution to perform the same, without any hesitation, myself, under no less penalty than that of having my body severed in two, my bowels taken from thence and burned to ashes, the ashes scattered before the four winds of heaven, that no more remembrance might be had of so vile and wicked a wretch as I would be, should I ever, knowingly, violate this my Master Mason's obligation. So help me God, and keep me steadfast in the due performance of the same.

track the members who are active
in your section of the Country. We will furnish you some names from the membership
list of the secret society at Yale. There are thirty or forty families who’s offspring are
being prepared to occupy important positions such as in politics that need to be
reviewed. Politically they need to be stripped naked and their masks of moderation
pulled off to expose their diabolical plans to strip this country of its Sovereignty, Liberty
and Honor.

We will give you five or ten names upon request. Then have you research their
biographies so as to take them into account. When we know where they live, what they
do and understand what they have done we can take them from positions of power. Our
goal is to “exorcise” this Evilarchy from the American body politic.

I'm against illegal immigration as strongly as Trump, but the question remains, how is it that illegal immigration that brings in guest workers is a threatening invasion, but shipping jobs overseas is just good old capitalism?  This is bullshit.  We need to protect jobs in the US.  We need to fight wage reductions whether from importing workers or exporting jobs.  We need to escape the death spiral of buying junk from overseas.  Build two walls, one down the southwestern border and another around the Port of Los Angeles.
