Three US Citizens Sentenced For Conspiracy To Start A Revolution Using WMDs

Tyler Durden's picture

While the US has had a surge in violence over the past several years, its defining feature was the generally chaotic and uncoordinated nature of each such - usually lethal - act.

That changed over the weekend when the FBI announced three US citizens - Brian Cannon, 37, Terry Peace, 47, and Cory Williamson, 29, - were sentenced to 12 years in prison for "conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction in attacks against federal government agencies. The defendants planned to attack critical infrastructure while motivating militia groups in other states to rise up and join them in removing government officials who they believed had exceeded their Constitutional power."

Specifically, the three sentenced men "participated in Internet chat rooms frequented by militia members and others with a shared anti-government ideology. During the chat room conversations, Cannon, Peace and Williamson discussed starting a revolution against the federal government by conducting an attack aimed at the infrastructure supporting the Transportation Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Administration." The complaint further notes that "according to their conversations, their goals included forcibly removing government officials who the defendants believed acted beyond the scope of the U.S. Constitution."

And this is how the FBI summarized the bust...

“In this case, anti-government ideology and rhetoric morphed into dangerous extremism and led these defendants to arm themselves and travel to a meeting to pick up pipe bombs and other explosives intended for attacks,” said U.S. Attorney John Horn of the Northern District of Georgia. “The attacks planned by the defendants, while rare, posed a serious threat to not only the safety of our public servants, but also all other members of the community.”

... confirming yet again that when the NSA has to "get involved", it does so admirably.

Meanwhile, any aspiring revolutionaries may want to consider avoiding cell phone communication and certainly never discussing plans for the second American revolution on public chat rooms that can be hacked by even 10 year-old "North Korean" hackers, not to mention the most sophisticated electronic communication interception system ever created.

The full FBI complaint is below (link):

Men Sentenced for Conspiracy to Use Weapons of Mass Destruction

WASHINGTON—Brian Cannon, 37, Terry Peace, 47, and Cory Williamson, 29, have been sentenced for conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction in attacks against federal government agencies. The defendants planned to attack critical infrastructure while motivating militia groups in other states to rise up and join them in removing government officials who they believed had exceeded their Constitutional power.

“This case illustrates the FBI’s commitment in preventing attacks instead of responding to their aftermath,” said Special Agent in Charge J. Britt Johnson for the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office. “The convictions and now federal sentencing of these individuals on conspiracy charges again represents that the juries and courts understand this shift in the law enforcement mindset in dealing with individuals or groups that wish to bring harm to the public or those who serve the public.”

According to U.S. Attorney Horn, the charges and other information presented in court: In January and February 2014, Cannon, Peace and Williamson participated in Internet chat rooms frequented by militia members and others with a shared anti-government ideology. During the chat room conversations, Cannon, Peace and Williamson discussed starting a revolution against the federal government by conducting an attack aimed at the infrastructure supporting the Transportation Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Administration.

According to their conversations, their goals included forcibly removing government officials who the defendants believed acted beyond the scope of the U.S. Constitution. During one of the online conversations, Peace said that they would launch the attack between February 1, and Feb. 15, 2014. He encouraged the militia members to review guerilla warfare tactics, accumulate supplies and prepare their families. By Feb. 1, 2014, Cannon and Williamson had moved to Georgia and were living with Peace at his Rome, Georgia residence.

Cannon, Peace and Williamson targeted the infrastructure supporting their federal agency targets because they believed this would reduce the amount of unnecessary casualties and make it difficult for the government to respond to their attack. The men decided to launch the first attack in Georgia to prompt militia members in other states to begin attacks in their respective states.

Unbeknownst to the defendants, another participant in the chat rooms became alarmed at their plans, informed the FBI of the attack against the government, and agreed to assist in this investigation.

On Feb. 8, 2014, Peace asked the cooperating witness to provide twelve pipe bombs and two thermite devices for use in their attack. Peace said he wanted the pipe bombs designed for “maximum fragmentation” and thermite devices capable of penetrating the engine block of a military-grade armored vehicle. Peace, Cannon and Williamson then made plans to meet with the cooperating witness after the pipe bombs and thermite devices were constructed.

On Feb. 15, 2014, the defendants, armed with numerous firearms, drove from Peace’s residence to meet with the cooperating witness at a location in Cartersville, Georgia, to pick up the pipe bombs and thermite devices. Prior to their arrival, the cooperating witness was provided with 12 inert pipe bombs and two inert thermite devices. The three defendants were arrested as they were taking possession of the items. While their online conversations reflected attacks on federal targets, the defendants planned to use the thermite device at a local police department.

Cannon has been sentenced to 12 years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release and perform 100 hours of community service.

Peace has been sentenced to 12 years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release and perform 100 hours of community service.

Williamson has been sentenced to 12 years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release and perform 100 hours of community service.

Cannon, Peace and Williamson were convicted of the charges on May 26, 2015 after pleading guilty.

This case was investigated by the FBI. Assistant United States Attorneys Tracia M. King and Ryan K. Buchanan prosecuted the case.

12 years?  This means they just got drunk one night and talked some shit on some plain text web forum.  With no real plan and no access to WMDs.  If they had gotten beyond the "talking shit" phase then they'd have gotten life in federal prison.

This is another FBI sting on some suckers.

First off if the allegation is true these guys are idiots. Nobody leads a revolution. Revolutions by their very nature are spontaneous. The crowd whether it be the mob or the militia responds to some egregious act. The reaction is spawned by having suffered a long series of insults and injuries both real and imagined. A chemistry must emerge in a significant minority of the population that would cause them to support such actions. When that happens revolutions occur.

Revolutions can be captured once they have begun by silver tongued orators if they have a well reasoned narrative that fires the emotions of the crowd.

Actually, I would call pipe bombs weapons of 'minimal' to 'moderate' destruction. These was not 55 gal. barrels of fertilizer and diesel fuel mixed and packed into rented moving trucks.

Before things get out of hand, perhaps it might be better if our public servants would stop and ponder the unlawful path they are on and who is ultimately responsible for enforcing the oathbreaker's noncompliance with the people's law, the Constitution?  Public servants should ask themselves if it is really productive and worthwhile in the long run to provoke the citizenry into becoming violent towards them and their families.

Everyone has a duty not to comply with unConstitutional laws, orders or regulations yet there are hundreds of new ones written every day. Stop the madness.

Wait, I thought we were hated because of our freedom?!?  Confusing, isn't it?

Our gov't tells us we're getting attacked because other countries hate us for our freedom.  Meanwhile, true Americans are looking to start a war because they see every freedom enshrined in the Constitution being trampled by the Obama regime and our criminal congress.

Let me repeat - "They hate us for our freedom."   If it weren't so sad, it'd be funny.

It depends on quantity, the materials used in manufacture, size, and the location of the set charges thereof...

If one is uses Black Powder set off by Cannon Fuse and another one uses Nitro Glycerin set off by a percussion cap then the results are notably different.

I'm a peaceable guy, but I still applaud the use of "and their families" in any and all discussions and speculations in regard to violence against public servants (and those of the "bankster" ilk).

I really hope that major domestic violence can be avoided, but if it comes it must be clear, and it must be reinforced, that violence is potentially heading into the life of every minion of the World Bankster Empire, and into the lives of their families.

The various persons, high and low, who support the economic rape of their fellow human beings need to reflect on the anger that they are drawing down against themselves, and their familes.

The most important factoid from this incident is that the highly militarized enforcers (ATF, FBI, state & local police. etc) are 1,000,000% fanatically loyal to the regime leaders and their orders, regime laws,  regime courts, and regime infrastructure / operations - regardless of constitutionality - the enforcers do NOT ever consider the issue of constitutionality or justice - they just follow orders, and they LOVE it.

Implication

You will ALL be subservient to the regime for the rest of your lives, ie the regime can implement ANY laws and policies that they want, eg confiscate anything they want from you, monitor / surveil as much of you as they want, arrest, imprison, beast, torture and kill you if they want,

and you have NO OPTIONs except to submit and comply.

Resistance is futile.

You have been assimilated into the coercive collective.

After years of declining violent crime, several major American cities (controlled by Democrats and with mostly non-white populations) experienced a dramatic surge in homicides during the first half of this year.

The number of murders in 2015 jumped by 33% or more in Baltimore, New Orleans and St. Louis. Meanwhile, in Chicago, the nation's third-largest city, the homicide toll climbed 19% and the number of shooting incidents increased by 21% during the first half of the year. Milwaukee recorded 84 murders so far this year, more than double the 41 it tallied at the same point last year.

The Sons of Silence Inc. are now here in little old St Cloud MN.  Pobably selling meth I would guess.  They are running a top and bottom rocker with a full patch and a 1% patch.  It is only a matter of time before I cross paths with one of them.  Meth is fucking full retard stupid but smoking some weed once in a while is OK.  Hey Sons of Silence Inc, you are on my lawn.  Get out unless you have some premium weed in which case we might get along.

It really gets strange with MC's.  Do we have a ZeroHedge MC yet?  Cuts and patches are a far bigger deal than most people know.  Maybe Banzai7 can come up with a patch for us.  I think the name of the MC should be Snows Angels.  I am open to suggestions though.  I will tell you this much, if you are going to do a top and bottom rocker with patch on a leather cut you are making a statement.  I can get as much dope as I want.  I don't sell dope though.  I mentioned to Mrs. M that our little patch should be the 3.14 percent in a pi symbol.  We can ride and we can figure out the square footage of a circle.:-)

This is bullshit.  Maybe these guys were up to something, maybe they weren't, maybe they were agents, maybe they were framed by FBI trolls. There is absolutely no telling up from down anymore because our government has lied us into countless wars, loss of liberty and has zero credibility.  They are hoping they can send a freezing wind blowing and silence dissent by comparing those who criticize government to dangerous lunatics similar to what these men allegedly are... typical Stalinesque bullshit.

The only people who really have "weapons of mass destruction" are governments.  In the past this term has been used repeatedly when discussing nuclear arsenals both real and imagined.  Usually when serious weapons get in the hands of some group it was provided by a government agency, ISIS for example.  Every American has the right to criticize their govenment and we also hold the right to change our goverment as we see fit.   We also have the right and responsibility to yank corruption out of office and have them face trial.  If the courts have also been corrupted we reserve the right to hold our own citizen courts.

With at least 50% of the population mad as hell you would think that American anger would be white noise by now, nonetheless, websites that become relevant will be trolled to hell and back (as this one is) by paid agent provacateur types, for this reason people who believe in this website shouldn't use such hot language so that way we can sort these provocateur fuckers out because bet your ass they're here.  DON'T FEED THE TROLLS.

These kinds of arranged spectacles only succeed in convincing the already convinced.  They never stave off actual discontent for very long.  People don't need to "rise up" against the State, the State destroys itself and in its death throes flails about looking for excuses and victims.  The State is its own worst enemy, and because that fact cannot be admitted the members of the State invent their own enemies in lieu of this truth.

Note to oligarchs; your brain dead mass of rubes is shrinking by the day, and they are never the bulwark you imagine them to be.  What's funny is that they would only have to throw a few crumbs to keep order, but they get such a thrill out of making people miserable they will cut their own throat before letting up one iota.

you know I have a hard time believing these guys planned all this out but dropped the ball on the most obvious points of consideration.

they never once stopped to ponder the fact that these chat rooms just might be under some form of surveillance by the very government they were planning to attack?  with all the press about domestic terrorism and the uber spying habits of the NSA and the FBI they must have been at least aware of the possibilities. did it just slip there minds? this "cooperative witness" was probably an undercover fed himself.

further why then did they come to the conclusion that it was ok to request the WMD's from a completely anonymous user in said chat room? would it not have been simple common sense to set up a meet and greet first, maybe do a little recon? at the very least to confirm that this was an actual person they were talking to and not some bot and then perhaps ascertain at best as possible what side of the fence this person is on? and you never take product on the first go round, you set spotters, walk away and see what stirs in the weeds before, during and after the meet.

at the very least before doing anything you ask the person "do you work for or are you in any way affiliated with any branch of local, county, federal or state law enforcement?" anything after that is entrapment if I understand correctly. do something to leave yourself an out for gods sake.

it really is almost cartoonish and more than a little suspect how badly they flubbed this whole thing. did they want to get caught?

false flag or were they really that stupid?

It's really very simple: the stupider people are, the more likely they are to have NO IDEA how stupid they are.  SEE: http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20131125-why-the-stupid-say-theyre-smart.

This also explains Donald Trump and a couple hundred other top executives who actually believe that they are worth 1500 times the pay of the ordinary worker.  Because another corollary is that the stupider people are, the more self-confident they become.  They lack the imagination to question their own obvious abilities.

It is another example of the devaluation of language to describe "pipe bombs and other explosives" as "weapons of mass destruction." Any weapons based upon chemical energy that has been known about and available for Centuries should NOT be called "weapons of mass destruction." That term should be reserved for weapons which are based upon technologies that could kill millions:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkCEOSgLRt4

Zbigniew Brzezinski: It Is Infinitely Easier to Kill a Million People than it is to Control Them.

In general, no chemical weapons could do that, although nerve gases could approach that, if able to be deployed sufficiently. The only weapons that could cause mass destruction on the scale of millions or billions are either atomic or biological.  MEANWHILE, the most important warfare in the post-modernizing world continues to be that done through "Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars:"

 http://www.conspiracyarchive.com/NWO/silent_weapons_quiet_wars.htm

Politicians hold many quasi-military jobs, the lowest being the police which are soldiers, the attorneys and C.P.A.s next who are spies and saboteurs (licensed), and the judges who shout orders and run the closed union military shop for whatever the market will bear. The generals are industrialists. The "presidential" level of commander-in-chief is shared by the international bankers. ... a nation becomes divided into two very distinct parts, a docile sub-nation [great silent majority] and a political sub-nation. The political sub-nation remains attached to the docile sub-nation, tolerates it, and leaches its substance until it grows strong enough to detach itself and then devour its parent.

The most significant "conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction" has been done by the "political sub-nation," which has become sufficiently strong enough to engage in democidal martial law in the foreseeable future. Tragically, any significant resistance at this point would probably precipitate that to happen.

Nothing based upon old-fashioned uses of chemically powered weapons is even remotely close to being in the ball park of the political problems which we are facing, due to the EXISTENCE of electronic frauds, backed by atomic bombs. Articles like the one above are pathetic from every perspective that one way examine them from. (The story above mostly appears like political idiots being entrapped by the FBI.)

MEANWHILE, in my view, one of the worst trends we are facing are those which are tending towards the increasing dominance of fraudulent science, or junk science, which have their most intense manifestations in the ways that political science has become an oxymoron. The basic problems that apply to the increasingly dismal prospects for future progress in science applies most of all with the area of political science. Here is a list of areas where scientific paradigm shifts are possibly happening:

http://www.theinstituteforventurescience.net/#!types-of-projects-the-ivs-will-support/cvld

Mostly those are being systematically suppressed:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/charles-eisenstein/the-need-for-venture-scie_b_8045434.html

The Need for Venture Science

By Charles Eisenstein, August 27, 2015.

... Over the last few years, a growing chorus of insider critics have been exposing serious flaws in the ways that scientific research is funded and published, leading some to go so far as to say, "Science is broken." ...

Of course, "political science" is the most broken!

"Political science" suffers from the history of
warfare based upon backing fraud with force.

All of the other sciences still suffer from that ...

The most intense social paradoxes are due to the ways
that social successfulness is based on enforcing fraud.

Politics is the most deeply "broken" due to the ways
the death control systems are necessarily central to it.

There is almost nothing but a core of organized crime,
so totally surrounded by controlled opposition groups
that there are NO publicly significant, rational ways
to have public discussions about the death controls.

Rather, the history has been that the death controls
backed up the debt controls, so that the FUNDING
of everything is based on ENFORCING FRAUDS.

Paradigm shifts in physical sciences were "easy"
compared to paradigm shifts in political science.

The difficulties presented by attempting to start a revolution using weapons of mass destruction are basically the same as fighting a war with weapons of mass destruction. After the development of weapons that are trillions of times more powerful than any which previously existed during human history, both revolutions and wars look similarly suicidal. There continues to be no general theory for how to operate the human murder systems, after the situation becomes that "it is easier to kill a million people than to control them."

My views continue to be that there must necessarily be some kinds of "revolutions" occur, due to the ways that the currently established systems are based upon governments ENFORCING FRAUDS, which systems automatically become more psychotic, since no amount of legalized violence can ever make legalized lies stop being false. However, such "revolutions" ought to be based upon intellectual scientific revolutions, which apply generally to political science, and particularly apply to the combined money/murder systems. The keystone to any real revolutions would have to be profound paradigm shifts in the ways that we perceive the death controls that back up the debt controls.

So far, there is nothing which appears publicly significant other than the established debt slavery systems driving themselves to generate numbers which have become debt insanities, which are headed towards provoking death insanities. In my view, what this story purports to be the case was there was the prevention of one particular case of death insanities. However, generally speaking, the FBI are NOT preventing the overall trends towards the outbreaks of death insanities.

In my view, there is no fundamental dichotomy between natural selection versus artificial selection, but rather, artificial selection systems developed inside of the natural selection systems. In that context, what is most likely to be the case are that there will eventually manifest out-of-control death insanities, which may give rise for opportunities to develop new death control systems (IF anybody sufficiently survives through those events in the longer term.)

At the present time, the bigger problems are that "political science" continues to be an intense oxymoron. Within that overall context, the FBI at it higher levels appears to have become a facet of the overall ways that "political sub-nation remains attached to the docile sub-nation, tolerates it, and leaches its substance until it grows strong enough to detach itself and then devour its parent."

At the same time, most of those few who begin to somewhat perceive that, (as alleged to be case in the article above) continue to hold on to ridiculously old-fashioned views regarding what the "solutions" to those problems could be. From my perspective, the three who plead guilty in that article were more tragically pathetic examples of controlled opposition, in the sense stated previously on Zero Hedge by Cognitive Dissonance:

"The absolute best controlled opposition is
one that doesn't know they are controlled."

Not only did they appear to get entrapped by the FBI, but also their notions of what "revolutions" could or should be were hopelessly old-fashioned, due to being based on false fundamental dichotomies, and the related impossible ideals. In general, anyone who promotes "revolutions," after the development of globalized systems of electronic frauds backed by atomic bombs, should sufficiently revolutionize their ways of thinking about those problems. Ironically, that also applies, even more so, to the FBI, and other entities like the CIA, etc., that are the "political sub-nations" which are being set up to "devour its parent."

Some interesting ideas here, but TOO LONG to address properly.  Try to organize better and break it up into one major idea per post.

Politics has always been about enforcing frauds.  Read Plato.  Myths for the masses, power for the few.  See: Catholic Church in medieval Europe.  Or the years of patient effort on the part of Anglo-American bankers in order to drag the U.S. into WWII.

Weapons of mass destruction -- yes, a joke.  The term has been grossly abused.

Political Science, and expansively all "science".  Do go back to the origins of the term, i.e., "Scientia".  On the one hand, our virtual worship of knowledge has indeed massively increased human knowledge.  On the other, the Myth of Science (and its sister, the Myth of Progress) creates vastly excessive expectations more appropriate to organized religion. As the idea of unbiased knowledge is itself an oxymoron (proven by Science!), your take on Political Science follows.

Easier to kill people than to control them -- absolutely.  Why do you think so many armies and coups make the decision to "take no prisoners"?  Controlling prisoners is a waste of precious resources.  So is controlling any unnecessary population. The only reason to waste resources controlling the masses is if the masses are actually necessary to serve you.  Expect to see a lot more massacres of expediency, as technological advances make human service far less necessary.

If you have not yet read Norman Spinrad's Operation Chaos, I recommend it to you for a number of ideas regarding the Controlled Opposition and the limits of revolution in a closed political system.

“defendants planned to attack critical infrastructure while motivating militia groups in other states to… join them in removing government officials who… exceeded their” authority.

Well, let’s be more precise here.

The defendants were, at best, unwitting dupes and were subsidized, directed or both by the FBI/Mossad. They perpetrated a “false flag”, in other words.

We know it was a false flag and that the FBI/Mossad was involved because their actions were straight out of the handbook for perpetrating a Judeo-Bolshevik revolution – NOT an American revolution.  The former, you see, advances the cause of tyranny; the latter, the cause of man.

After all, who, in possession of a sane mind, would advance the cause of tyranny… but the FBI/Mossad (who are, actually, in possession of demonically deranged minds)?

Well, it's interesting that modestly serious revolutionaries are starting to appear.  And that the Powers That Be are diligently hunting them down whether they pose a significant threat or not.

Frankly, these boys deserved to be caught for their strategy alone, regardless of their idiotic security violations.  They chose the "hardest" targets, and the ones with the most in-depth planning to manage casualties.  There are a lot more vulnerable linchpins that don't require armor-piercing explosives.  But they thought they could avoid mass civilian casualties by only taking out enemy leadership.  Points for good intentions, but lousy tactics.  And meaningless, because the failure of government in a society as complex as ours will automatically mean the deaths of about a quarter of the civilian population: children under five, most of the elderly and the disabled at least.  War merely opens the show for Plague and Famine, not to mention the astonishing number of people living here right now who can't survive a week without complex medical attention.

Nope, better to let NSA weed out the weak and unworthy.  My father taught me never to directly assault on a hardened bunker before I turned 10.
