"It's Over For Me" Matt Drudge Warns Public "You're A Pawn In The 'Ghetto-isation'" Of The Web

Tyler Durden's picture

The very foundation of the free Internet is under severe threat from copyright laws that could ban independent media outlets, according to Matt Drudge. "I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it’s over for me,” said Drudge, warning web users that they were being pushed "pawn-like" into the cyber "ghettos" of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

"Reclusive" Drudge says he has not had a photo taken in 8 years

As DCClothesline.com reports,

During an appearance on the Alex Jones Show, Drudge asserted that copyright laws which prevent websites from even linking to news stories were being advanced.

“I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it’s over for me,” said Drudge. “They’ve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, you’re out of there. They’re going to make it so you can’t even use headlines.”

“To have a Supreme Court Justice say to me it’s over, they’ve got the votes, which means time is limited,” he added, noting that a day was coming when simply operating an independent website could be outlawed.

“That will end (it) for me – fine – I’ve had a hell of a run,” said Drudge, adding that web users were being pushed into the cyber “ghettos” of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

“This is ghetto, this is corporate, they’re taking your energy and you’re getting nothing in return – nothing!”

Watch the full interview below...

Drudge warned that social media giants like Twitter and Facebook were swallowing up content and strangling the organic growth of independent Internet news platforms. Automated news aggregators like Google News also came under fire.

“Google News – hello anybody? The idiots reading that crap think there is actually a human there – there is no human there – you are being programmed to being automated even up to your news….a same corporate glaze over everything,” said Drudge.

“Stop operating in their playground, stop it,” said Drudge, asserting that people were being confined by what the likes of Facebook and Twitter defined as the Internet as a result of this “corporate makeover” of the web.

“I’m just warning this country that yes, don’t get into this false sense that you are an individual when you’re on Facebook, no you’re not, you’re a pawn in their scheme,” concluded Drudge.

The biggest problem the Supremo Court will have with this is avoiding the copyright application from being applied to things beyond 'news stories'. If applied to images and video - it would destroy 'porn' - and that industry would retaliate by listing the favorite porn sites visited by Ruth Bader Ginsburg!

The way these people think, practically everything they do turns out the opposite of what they want. In this case, censoring popular news outlets like drudgereport.com, leaves a vacuum for foreign news sources and independent bloggers. As an independent blogger, I see no need to provide links. Some independent sources like lewrockwell.com link to sites to which they have consent.

IMO, about one quarter of drudgereport is real news. The rest is junk. MSM sources are about 90% junk. Their only value is in knowing what government wants you to think and to get a sense of trend. Besides the merciless commercial interuptions, what turns me off the most about MSM news is the the meaningless trivia that passes off as news and opinion. They waste time.

I'm curious to see how the censors deal with politically correct sites like huffington post and politico. More than likely, they'll get a free pass.

The Supremo Court would likely target sites like Drudge while leaving its 'darling' sites untouched. Thus you could see:

Droogle - Drudge's search engine where you type in "News" and get links to the same News stories.

DrooBook - Where users can sign into a social media website and see News or find out more about what the Friended politicians are up to.

DNBC - Where talking heads and linked stories tell us about News that might affect stocks across the globe

DrooXXX - Where naked chicks share their favorite linked News stories and fantasies

TODAYS Tea Party is narrowly focused on selfish, radical right wing goals, whereas THAT DAYs tea party focused on the common good of all the people.

"Selfish, radical right wing goals"?

You sure are a victim of the globalist propaganda machine.  You have no idea what you're talking about.  The Tea Party consists of ordinary everyday, freedom loving and liberty-minded American Patriots who believe that the US Constitution and Bill of Rights STILL MATTER.  If you don't believe that, then you are a traitor to our Constitution and you should remove yourself from our shores.

Further, the Tea Party simply believes that we are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY.  If that's radical right wing, then you're a leftist commie loser in my book.  Taxes are DESTROYING OUR NATION from the local level up to the Federal level.

50% of all Americans pay NO TAXES, AND THE REST OF US ARE FED UP WITH THE REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH SCHEMES THAT OUR GOVERNMENT IMPOSES.  I'm sick and tired of paying for other kids' meals at schools WHILE HAVING TO PAY FOR MY own kids' meals, too.

Communism and Socialism in America must DIE.  And soon, else there will come a revolution in America.  Bernies Sanders should be arrested, today, for treason to our Constitution, as should Hillary Clinton, who calls herself an American Progressive (Communist).  Barack Obama was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Communist Party USA.

The internet design had "robustness" as a principle goal. If someone chopped it in two at one point, it would go around left end and establish a different connection.

As with everything, we frogs have been slowly brought to this boiling point.

The internet now "can not function" without a centralized backbone (controlled by the carriers and governments). IP can make less than 20 hops in 1/8th of a second. It "can't" go any faster. So to make things like VOIP work, they have to minimize hops.

But early on, they abandoned ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode). It was "virtual wires" (at layer 2) that carried the IP traffic (at layer 3). ATM can do tens of thousands of hops per second through virtual connections. Initiatives by Cisco and the carriers eliminated ATM. They also promoted the "cloud". Those were strategic decisions. Without them, they were toast.

The solution is get back to a "robust connection system with no centralized control".

ATM and mesh networks (which make each node a dynamically assigned part of the network) will bring the internet back to the free function it needs to be.

We don't need to legislate this or appropriate big bucks to get it done. The parts are available off the shelf. And high school freshman have demonstrated time and again that they are capable of embracing and delivering new technology solutions ... with zero concern for authority.

Give them encouragement.

Does anyone have a printing press for sale, or know anyone who has a printing press for sale?

I intend to purchase one, with the intent of developing a secretive, anonymous, information distribution network using the printed word; since very soon, none of us will be able to do it on the internet anymore.

It's mission:

  • to widen the scope of financial, economic and political information available to the professional investing public.
  • to skeptically examine and, where necessary, attack the flaccid institution that financial journalism has become.
  • to liberate oppressed knowledge.
  • to provide analysis uninhibited by political constraint.
  • to facilitate information's unending quest for freedom.

the method: pseudonymous speech...

anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority. it thus exemplifies the purpose behind the bill of rights, and of the first amendment in particular: to protect unpopular individuals from retaliation-- and their ideas from suppression-- at the hand of an intolerant society.

   ...responsibly used.

the right to remain anonymous may be abused when it shields fraudulent conduct. but political speech by its nature will sometimes have unpalatable consequences, and, in general, our society accords greater weight to the value of free speech than to the dangers of its misuse.

- mcintyre v. ohio elections commission 514 u.s. 334 (1995) justice stevens writing for the majority

though often maligned (typically by those frustrated by an inability to engage in ad hominem attacks) anonymous speech has a long and storied history in the united states. used by the likes of mark twain (aka samuel langhorne clemens) to criticize common ignorance, and perhaps most famously by alexander hamilton, james madison and john jay (aka publius) to write the federalist papers, we think ourselves in good company in using one or another nom de plume. particularly in light of an emerging trend against vocalizing public dissent in the united states, we believe in the critical importance of anonymity and its role in dissident speech. like the economist magazine, we also believe that keeping authorship anonymous moves the focus of discussion to the content of speech and away from the speaker- as it should be. we believe not only that you should be comfortable with anonymous speech in such an environment, but that you should be suspicious of any speech that isn't.

he's probably right, but it comes down to the definition of corporate, as mcluhan said fifty years ago, business corporations are in no way examples of corporate behaviour. in orwellian terms the drudges have to infiltrate the corporations and redefine the role of the journalist. this is pretty much how the system works already, in a few years Fox news may hire Drudge or other bloggers to filter the information. how corporate organization can be defined for the planet is a long and interesting subject, it all ties into the protests over TPP, the people who dont get it want to extend a machine line consistency over the globe while nothing is less likely and less desirable than a communist model of central planning that would embrace all of us. hard to believe our leaders have such poor vision.

The reason why you know this isn't about money is that news aggregator sites like his bring MORE traffic. Why would any main news site not want links , traffic and search engine votes? It's about control over the message. Cable news ratings have been falling. Many don't even watch or read main news sources any longer.

I can't get excited about Matt Drudge and his concerns. As many website hits as he has daily, he still is largely a one trick pony. Not a day goes by where he does not bash Hillary or Bill Clinton, realizing that story was his meal ticket to rising fame back in the 1990s. With a fair chance Hillary gets elected with the clown car GOP in disarray, Drudge knows he may have an archenemy in what may wound up being the next POTUS. He is a GOP hack, always has been, and you know it if you visit there and accept any and all news there as tainted with that partisan brush. He interviews in cloak, he doesn't respond to Email with suggestion or criticism on how he runs his site, he can go away as far as I am concerned. He knows the legend as to what happens with Clinton political enemies, he may well be fearing for his life soon. And a lot of what he says is snokescreen for the real issues. No one said he had to pick the enemies he did, don't go crying about it now.

ZH uses the same cloak methodology which is inconsistent with how most outlets operate today, accountability under Twitter. You are responsible if you defame people on a public website without foundation or evidence, and hiding behind cloaks only offers shallow protection. I have often taken issue with the fact that ZH feels free to use other bloggers and their work by name, yet steadfastly refuse to identify your own posters and your own work except under the Tyler Durden byline. It is a stale and dated double standard, and you may be a few years away with being held to account for who posts by name. If you don't want to deal with it, close up the tent.

I use to be impressed with the guests who came here, but the general room intelligence has slipped greatly over the past few years.

But the master slave relationship was fed into the just think/embrace positive (fantasy) ignore/reject negtive (reality) algorithm.

turning the master slave relationship into the client server model.

I helped build the digital electronic computerized fantasy you all believe to be reality...So I know how what you all are trapped in works.

“The technotronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities. ”--Zbigniew Brzezinski...Between Two Ages: The Technetronic Era, 1971.

I have the same connection to the Internet that the NSA does...I do not require billions of dollars to accomplish what the NSA can not.

You all are trained/socially engineered/programed to commit suicide fighting to the death to remain asleep or ignorant of truth to continue to enjoy the daydream fantasy or cherished delusion you are awake or knowledageable of truth.

You all connect to the internet seeking support for or to promote your cherished delusions of grandure.

A lie you believe is truth is a reasonable assumption...when you fall in love with a lie believed to be truth it transforms into a cherished delusion.

You all will fight to the death to protect what you cherish from harm.

You all which are visible slave minds have been programed by the invisible master mind to commit suicide for nothing you believe to be something.

You all try to escape the fantasy believed to be reality by connecting to the internet which is a fantasy believed to be reality...

I can hear all the secrets that you keep when you are talking in your sleep.

Original work by the NukePro
http://nukeprofessional.blogspot.com/2015/10/germanys-electric-rate-has-...

The pro-nuclear crowd, pulling out all the stops to save their dying industry, states that Germany is doing horribly under their "mistake" to invest in solar and shut down nuclear.   What is reality.

Reality is that Germany's cost for electricity has dropped in half since Fukushima.

This first chart doesn't tell the whole story.   Each Euro buys 1.15 USD.   So if you take the average call it 39 Euro per MWH, and multiply by 1.15, you get 44.85 USD per MWH, or converting to kWH 4.48 cents per kWH.

BUT!  and don't lose the importance of this, Look at the chart below, Since Fukushima the Euro has lost about 30% of its "value".    IN 2011 the wholesale rate was 65 Eur/MWH and Eur/USD was 1.45, calculating to a cost of 9.42 cents per kWH.

Simply put....since Germany has decided to phase out nuclear power, their electric rate has dropped by half.

Rand is the only candidate not controlled by the Rothschild mob, but he is so afraid of them that he is useless.
