Moscow Demands Britain Explain "Green Light To Shoot Down Russian Jets"

Tyler Durden's picture

The chances of escalation from a proxy war to outright war just went to 11 on the Spinal Tap amplifier of sabre-rattling. A day after British and NATO pilots were reportedly given the green light to take drastic action against Russian fighter jets if they come under threat during missions over Iraq, Interfax reports that the Russian Defense Ministry has demanded clarification. Senior defence sources say it is just a matter of time before our fighters are involved in a deadly confrontation with Russian jets.

The Chinese, it appears, are wholeheartedly behind Putin's efforts, judging by the following puff-piece from Xinhua (unofficially China's government mouthpiece)...

Russia's recent military intervention in the Syrian war in the form of airstrikes and missile attacks aimed both at supporting the government of President Bashar Al-Assad in combatting the Islamic State (IS) has reaped initial gains.

Russia's bombing campaign in Syria, which began on Sept. 30, has strengthened the Syrian government, laying the foundation for a dialogue with all countries concerned to come up with solutions that could drag Syria out of the internal conflict that has lasted for more than four years.

According to Russia Today, Russia started its bombing campaign in Syria with a goal to provide air support to the government troops in fighting various terrorist groups, primarily the IS.

Russian air strikes hit 55 Islamic State group targets in Syria in the past 24 hours, the defense ministry said Saturday, as Moscow ramped up its military campaign in the war-torn country.

Russia's air force has attacked a total of 112 targets since the start of the military actions.

On Thursday, Syrian government troops launched large-scale ground offensives under the cover of Russia's repeated air strikes. At the same time, Russia launched 26 cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea and destroyed 11 IS targets.

Syrian political analyst Osama Dannura said Russia's involvement in the Syrian conflict has upset the initial planning of Western powers that have their minds bent on toppling the Assad government.

The West's strategic shortcomings were demonstrated by the disastrous 500 million-U.S.-dollar program to train and arm moderate rebels, which generated only a handful of fighters, many of whom surrendered or were captured almost immediately. The scheme was finally scrapped on Friday.

The reason why the U.S.-coalition has failed to deal a blow to the IS, according to Syrian political analyst Maher Ihsan, is a lack of offensives by ground troops. Besides, while attacking the IS, the United States is also offering the opposition rebels assistance including weapons, most of which end up into the hands of IS fighters.

In an interview with Iranian television broadcast on Sunday, al-Assad said a campaign of Western and Arab airstrikes against IS targets in Iraq and Syria has been counterproductive and terrorism has spread in terms of both territory and new recruits.

Around 40 percent of the IS infrastructure in Syria has been destroyed in just one week, Syria's Ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad said on Wednesday.

But the huge escalation in British and NATO rhetoric towards Russia - green-lighting direct conflict - has made the situation dramatically more dangerous...

British and Nato pilots have been told to take the drastic action if they are fired on by Vladimir Putin's air force during missions over Iraq.

The move comes after British ministers warned Russia had made the situation in the Middle East "much more dangerous".

Senior defence sources say it is just a matter of time before our fighters are involved in a deadly confrontation with Russian jets.

One source said: "We need to protect our pilots but at the same time we're taking a step closer to war. It will only take one plane to be shot down in an air-to-air battle and the whole landscape will change. "

RAF pilots have been told to avoid contact with Russian jets at all costs and both US and British mission control teams will do their best to keep them apart.

But the pilots have been warned they must be prepared to fire on Russian jets if their lives depend on it.

One source said: "No one knows what the Russians will do next. We do not know how they will respond if they come into contact with a Western jet.

"When planes are flying at supersonic speeds the airspace gets crowded very quickly. There could be a collision or a Russian pilot might be mistakenly shot down. "

And then, as Reuters reports,

Russia has asked the British defense attache in Moscow to clarify media reports that British pilots had been given permission to attack Russian jets if they are fired on whilst flying sorties over Iraq, Interfax news agency reported on Sunday.

The British attache said he would submit an official response in the near future, RIA news agency reported.

*  *  *

One wonders just how far US, NATO "leadership" are willing to go to 'expose' Putin's evil intent? Especially in light of China's official mouthpiece (Xinhua News) reporting the following...

"The Russians have shown a naval capacity that was not expected," said Thomas Gomart, head of the French Institute for Foreign Relations, adding that Russia is "challenging the West's aerial supremacy."

Moscow offered on Tuesday to resume talks with Washington to avoid any misunderstanding concerning its airstrike operation, as well as to discuss ways to avoid conflicts between the United States and Russian warplanes over Syria.

Washington also said on Saturday that it would resume talks with Moscow to avoid accidents in the skies over the war-torn country.

Well, he is right.

Most likely a deadly confrontation for his jets.

This is a new level of madness and hypocrisy by the U.S. government.  I don't know what the hell they think they are doing, but they are NOT representing my best interests.  They have some ulterior motive and they won't be truthful with anyone about it, and that's why I cannot even give them an ounce of respect.  If they at least stated their nefarious intentions I would respect but not support them.  But as it is they are neither deserving of respect NOR support.  They are wrong and evil and anyone who blindly supports them is a fool.

The Charge of the Light Brigade

1
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!
"Charge for the guns!" he said:
Into the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.

2
"Forward, the Light Brigade!"
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the soldier knew
    Someone had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.

3
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
    Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
    Rode the six hundred.

4
Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air,
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
    All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reel'd from the sabre stroke
    Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
    Not the six hundred.

5
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
    Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
    Left of six hundred.

6
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
    All the world wondered.
Honour the charge they made,
Honour the Light Brigade,
    Noble six hundred.

I think the last time the Brits shot down an enemy fighter was in Argentina during the Falkland war and in 1948 in Palestine (Egyptian air force); since then the RAF has a lot of practice fighting in American Colonial Wars in the Middle East with no air force opposition

If a country is dominated by religous fanatism and dogmastim let the populace of that country experience the consquence of their own state of consiouness so they eventually decide themselves to change the situation. If the US or the UK get involved no matter what the outcome they will always blame you for their situation in the future.

The UK and US has overcome these archaic states of consiouness dominate in the middle east and its not our responsbility to get involved over there. We can help by providing humanitarian aid and education.

Not worth to comment on the article. The original source is Dailystar. Next quote is reuters. The xinhua link doesn't mention about russia demand explanations.

I do know this. If brits or whatever US junks put a lock on any sukhoi that Russia flies in Syria? It would be brits pilots last day on earth.

I see photos from RT, about what planes russia brings to syria. And at that photos. I say what missiles attached to it. Typical russian BVR & WVR tactics? They bought 2 of the best short and mid range AAM missiles in the world. One of the missiles has NO complements in the western world (well.. Japan research one. But it has not the range that the russian has).

To russian haters. I dares you to asked YOUR GOVT, to put a radar lock on russian sukhoi. I DARE YOU!!

Nuff said.

I see some russian hater put comment on it about Turkey F16 incidents? And you thinks sukhoi lost?

WHO PUT RADAR LOCK ON TO THE OTHER AIRPLANE FOR COMPLETE 5 MINUTES AND 40 SECONDS??

I know, one of the ZH commenter used to fly fighter jets. I let him explain what it is like inside a fighter jets that's being ILLUMINATED with radar lock. What happens inside his cockpit. You know who you are. Pls comment on this reply.

All i say is, it THE MOST EXCITING 5 MINUTES AND 40 SECONDS OF HIS LIFE!!

Does the other plane switch on their searcxh & track radar? NO. Otherwise that govt would pick up pieces of their fighter jets on the ground. And that? I can assure you.

Now this, that sukhoi? Have AFT looking radar. And it can fires missile BACKWARD!! Going to 6 o'clock? Doesn't matter with this plane. I'll let that ex pilot to explain you what 6 o'clock means.

I know those russian haters don't even have knowledge qualities as that ex pilot.

Avoiding contact with Russian planes by moving closer to them - completely logical

Defence chief Michael Fallon has said the government will try to convince Parliament to extend the bombing campaign into Syria.

He said it was “illogical” to attack Islamic State fighters in Iraq but not in Syria.

When planes are flying at supersonic speeds the airspace gets crowded very quickly. There could be a collision or a Russian pilot might be mistakenly shot down.

So conclusion is: Brits try to avoid collision with Russian fighters and bombers by extending bombing campain into Syria where Russians currently operate!?

The RAF Tornado jets will be equipped with the Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air Missile – a supersonic weapon which can blast any aircraft out of the sky.

But, but Islamic State don't have any air force so why Air-to-Air missles?

Thanks to the British Government's earlier insanity, we have the Eurofighter or Typhoon which was inadequately developed and is inferior to the SU 30.. I think going down 0 12 in dogfights sort of illustrates this point.  https://www.rt.com/uk/311839-indian-air-force-raf/

This is apparentlly Britain's lead interceptor jet!

Not content with receiving the report that tHe RAF had it's ar*e roundly whipped by the Indian Airforce, the British Government or to be more precisely a spokesperson for it has decided to make this statement after consuming George Osborne's drug stash! I thought George Osborne  was only snorting a bit of "Charlie", but it appears his Class A tastes must be wider (which would go a good a long way to explaining our demented economic policy), because the official mouthing off must have consumed Georgie's LSD stash beforehand.

As far as I am aware, most of the RAF aircraft in the Middle East are Tornadoes kept in the air with 3 D printer parts andpresumably is outclassed by the Typhoon!

The poor RAF pilots of these aircraft are now about to me dumped in the SH*T by our political class....a bunch of stupid weak corrupt paedophiles/zoophiles (Primeminister Hameron sorry Cameron and Porky the Pig)

The skies don't get more crowded as air speeds increase, that's just ludicrous.  Reaction times get shorter, but than that's what the borders and boundaries exist for, it is after all a combat zone, key emphasis on zone.  Simply keep out of where you have no legal right to be, and than whats the issue.

Yeah, you have a right to defend if fired upon, but there is also the right to fire if you violate, idiots.

So far the western military technology has been designed to defeat anyone unarmed or defenseless and did not at least partially confront contemporary Russian military technologies since mid 1980-ties during first Afghanistan war against Osama Bin-laden original jihadists.

The other conflicts were always against shoeless peasants with AK-47 on a rope or dilapidated soviet equipment from 1960-ties.

The West and especially Europe is in shock after just a week of Russian military operations. They realized visually how their seemingly unalterable grip on power is so fragile to be swept in a matter of minutes with no remedy from the BIG Uncle Sam.

Over one year of bombing and US achieved nothing of their stated and propagandized goals and something in their clandestine goals, namely weaken somewhat Assad and Kurds. It was accomplished with massive weapons supply, intelligence and logictics support (Toyotas Helix ,Tacoma/Tundra in the US) ordered by ISIS with FSA as a dealer) through US Gulf state proxies as well as outrageous things like that:

The US was calling Turkey military one hour before the strike to tell them location and time of the strikes and Turkey relied it to the IS so fighters could slowly walk away to safe places and wait. While they suppose to take western hostages with them they mostly forgot and hence many killed by US/Gulf States bombing. Jordan withdrawn herself from Syrian War when they discovered they were manipulated and after their pilot was ambushed and shut down, purposefully sent to his death by Jordan “allies”.

The whole US air campaign was a lie. The Russians mean business, proven by western hysterical reaction.

Additionally, the US Armed Forces has become nothing but a giant Progressive social experiment instead of a war-fighting machine.

The US and Western stuff used to be good but it is not so good anymore.  The Russian missiles and other hardware have made great advancements.

Here is supposedly a Saudi M1 Abrams being taken out by a 1970s era Russian anti tank weapons that may be a Iranaian or Chinese copies.  This is fairly old but effective technology.  This may be even the 1960s Russian ATGM Fagot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0nDHV_mkiY

Posters comment that the Saudis do not get DU armor or composite or ask why the Saudis did not add reactive armor.  The newer Russian Metis and Kornet's seem to have no problems against IDF Merkavas and M1s with uprated armor and very flat profiles on the turret.

I think the Axis of Evil was also suprised that Russian used these relatively tiny boats all the way in the landlocked Caspian Sea to hammer targets 1500 km or more away.  This was a demonstration of technology.  I think they were so shocked they claimed that 4 crashed in Iran.  One pundit claimed the US carriers left the field becaus ethey were worried one of these missiles might misfire.

I think a lot of people were shocked by those Caspian missiles.

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the ongoing anti-terror operation in Syria during an interview with Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov in Sochi, Sunday.

SOT, Vladimir Putin, Russian President (Russian): "If we speak about the military component, we tell our partners, when we hear them blaming us for our strikes not hitting ISIS or other terrorist organisations like Jabhat al-Nusra and others, but the allied part of the opposition so to speak. And we told them: If you know the situation on the ground better than we do as you have been there for more than a year - unlawfully, but still you are present there - if you know better, though I doubt it but let's say, give us the targets. We will work on them."

SOT, Vladimir Solovyov, journalist (Russian): "Have they declined?"

SOT, Vladimir Putin, Russian President (Russian): "Yes, they declined. They said 'No, we will not be working on this level', it is not clear why. If they really know better and want to fight terrorism, tell us the direct locations where the terrorists are sheltering, where they have command points, ammunition depots and equipment, give us the targets. What could be easier? But so far we haven't reached such level of joint work, but I'd like to repeat that the first steps in establishing the contacts on the military level have been made."

The U.S. and NATO need an 'incident' to save face. Putin should remove any machine gun or cannon ammo from his jets and fighters and bring in a neutral party to monitor this. Then any claims by the West can be squashed as lies!

Sun, 10/11/2015 - 20:02 | 6656594 luckystrike6
luckystrike6's picture

Quite the contrary, as many intelligent people have said (even on this site), Putin needs an 'incident' in order to have his coup with China against the American order.

There is nothing odd about an air force saying that they will fire back if fired upon. That is completely standard. The only thing funny is that Russia is making a news story out of it and feeding it to ZH (and thus to American collaborators that constitute the readership here), to create the impression that by having rules of engagement that even Russia has, the onus would be on the RAF for firing back. The fact that you are willing to parrot this line and blow it up into a casus belli with everyone other than Russia at fault should things get hot, proves you're a shill for the Kremlin, nothing more.

Any reasonable or logical person can see that this is a non-story except for the fact that Russia is pretending it's a story.

Oh don't get going on the 'american collaborators' routine. I am not American, but I read everything, everywhere, all the time and I can tell you that while at first I thought the same as you, that Putin was nothing but a mafia thug. On closer inspection and a lot of reading it turns out that the real thugs are in Washington DC and have been for many years. I am a native of a Western country with a strong democratic tradition, yet, I now have to deal with a country, my own, that legalised lawbreaking by security services supposedly to 'protect me'. I don't buy that bullshit. I want my government and all it's agencies to OBEY the law. Thtat's what laws are for. If you break the rules of a foundational document like a Constitutiton, then you have lost the moral authrity, and legal authroity, to govern. There are two Supreme Court challenges to that law and it will be overturned, however, the fact that it became law in the first place gives me great concern. It's not any different in the US with the so called Patriot Act. The NSA is out of control around the world and they are justifiying it by fear mongering over ISIS and muslims, meanwhile, even American A-10 pilots are admitting, off the record of course, that they are told not to attack ISIS. I have been around long enough to know deception when I see it. And there is massive deception and collusion going on between all NATO countries on this. What is NATO doing in the ME or Africa anyhow? NATO stands for the NORTH AMERICAN Treaty Organization. The last time I checked neither the ME nor Africa qualified as North American.

I remember, and just today wrote about the Gulf of Tonkin incident, a wholely manufcatured event that was used to start the Vietnam War. The NSA has been at this for a long, long time.

The US actively recruits and uses psychopaths in all their intelligence services, they have for years. Dont believe me, read up on what happened in Vietnam as it remains the text book example of intelligence services and government run riot.

So don't you fucking dare acuse me of being a Russian sympathizer, or a Chinese symapthizer or any kind of sympathizer. I am a free, critical thinker, who takes in all the different points of views and facts and evern suppositions, and then with the benefit of a fair bit of knowledge of history behind me, I draw conclusions.

The one conclusion I can definitely draw is that mutliple presidents, over many terms, have repeatedly broken their oaths to protect and defend the Constitution, and nothing has ever come of it. America is a mess as a result of that. That tells me that the Congress, the Judiciary and the other government agencies are corrupt to their very cores. More and more over the years I have come to the conclusion that as Mao said, Democracy does indeed come out of the barrel of a gun, and it appears to me, and to many other patriots, that that is the only way that we are ever going to get rid of these psychopaths and restore democracy.

From Ben Franklin:

- Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.

- There never was a good war or a bad peace.

- Let me add, that only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.

- In these sentiments, Sir, I agree to this Constitution, with all its faults, — if they are such; because I think a general Government necessary for us, and there is no form of government but what may be a blessing to the people, if well administered; and I believe, farther, that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government, being incapable of any other.

Less thant 20 years after his death, America began it's first foreign war with British North America, hoping to capture Canada while Britain was busy in Europe with Napoleon. It's been downhill ever since.

You are right the "If fired upon" is not an escalation and quite reasonable in itself. They are not invading the airspace of a sovereign country, they have done more to destrot ISIS in a few days than the US and NATO has done in weeks. Why? because they are not decetfully encoraging ISIS at the same time as pretending to fight it, in the hope that ISIS will topple Assad. And as for being a sycophant of Putin. There is absolutely no reason to believe his agenda isn't just as motivated by geopolitcal strategy, expansionism and oil as the West's agenda is.

While I don't understand America's overwhelming desire to topple Assad - which I don't think is important, or any of our business really - I do not believe that America is secretly supporting ISIS. That is pure bullshit propaganda generated by the Iranians and Russians, to confuse the issue.

I even agree with Russia that Assad is the lesser of two evils. But I don't agree that America is secretly supporting the same people we're bombing. That's bonkers.

I think your views are heavily distorted by relentless propaganda from Western MSM and our political elites. There's been plenty of evidence posted on ZH and elsewhere that ISIS is a CIA creation and the US has been funding it, training it and arming it since its creation. Just as bad, the US now defines al Qaeda as a "moderate" bunch of terrorists because they're doing some more of Washington's dirty work.

Why do you think that after about one year of Obama saying that he is bombing ISIS and other terror groups and also saying it might take 50 years to get rid of them, that they were still in action until Russia started bombing them a few weeks ago?

Truth is that "our" Western govs are up to their neck in creating, funding, arming, training and supporting terrorism in Syria and elsewhere in the world. Western electorates are being lied to and deceived on a massive scale by their govs.

"Because we won WWII and came very close to WWIII with the Russians, and if we're not there, then Russian troops would be there."

True...up until 1991.

Canada pulled out of Lar West Germany in 1992....the soviet union collapsed, no need to be there anymore.....and America?

"All of those countries have asked us to stay."

And of course, you could afford it so you did....and still do...because you can afford it?

"The whole reason Western Europe and Japan have such a high standard of living is that we rebuilt them and we have done most of their defense since the end of WWII, without taking anything in return."

Yes, the reason they have a high standard of living is they spent FUCK ALL on their military from 1946-2015 because the "sucker" Americans were there. That's why they have cradle to Grave welfare etc....but they are just as broke as America is. Ans how did it work out for America?

My question is, why did the USA NOT demobilize after 1991? The USSR was gone.

All I can tell you is this:

Every warning the George Washington and Dwight Eisenhower gave your regarding the dangers of a standing army (which is unconstitutional, see Article 1, section 8)  and the MiC have been ignored. This saber rattling bullshit will lead to a Military coup in America and there is little you will be able to do about it...in fact the phys-opps have been so successful, you'll probably cheer for it! There are already a myriad of illegal federal agencies, FBI, FDA, FAA, Homeland Security, CIA, NSA, all which were brought into existence by and act of congress WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!! The federal government, by the constitution, cannot grant itself more powers, only a constitutional amendment can do that.

And yet.....

here we are.

About WWII, I've moved beyond the armed divisions, the massive logistics successes, the battles, we were right, they were wrong, blah, blah.... That's all great and good boyhood fodder for reading etc.....

I'm now more interested in WHO FINANCED those whole fucking mess....on both sides. Why is it that there were no prosecutions against the perpetrators of the attempted coup in 1937 in the USA? Why has this entire episode been swept under the carpet of history?  Why do all the banks that financed both sides STILL EXIST? Alas, I digress.......

What you are shown, and told is an attempt to make you think a certain way. The history you have been taught has been packaged to make you think a certain way. What you haven't been told is more telling than what you have been.

The Russians spend ~50 billion a year on defense, the USA in excess of a trillion ( the reported budget plus all the hidden black budget).

Think.

That is the most likely way that an incident would arise whereby British jets would claim justification to return fire.

If Britain really wants to avoid such an incident, it should obey international law and not fly bombing sorties over Syria since it has no permission. And we're not sure who Cameron is bombing anyway, it sure isn't the terrorists in Syria. That's being left to Russia.

It's real easy to avoid risks to western military pilots in and around Syria...

keep your asses on the ground.

If any of these twits get their asses shot off, while fucking with the Russians--in sovereign airspace they DID NOT receive permission to enter-- forget hauling any more of your countrymen into the wider war your arrogance and bruised ego may start. My sense is, they ain't coming.

BTW, where the hell have you been for the last year or two?

Sure as hell wasn't wiping the desert with ISIL's ass, was it?

As a Brit. I can only apologise fot the utter stupidity, and duplicity of the British government. They do not represent

the people, but only the ruling elite desperate to stay in power.

Granted.

But, should this deliberate western antagonism lead to open hostilities, I certainly hope the citizens in BOTH our countries take to the street to remove those who've clearly become mentally unfit to hold office.

If not, it'll be as good as having been as reckless ourselves.

Well if Russia wants to be brave & fly so close to a NATO plane to nearly punch it in the nose, so be it war is on!

Yeh if Russia wants to fly its face so close to my fist it has to be their fault. lol

The only way a NATO plane gets close to a Russian plane is deliberately.

I would like to see Russian and Chinese planes flying together.  Or Iraq deny airspace to all countries except Russia.

Ok, they can defend themselves WHEN they are fired upon. I mean, that makes sense right, to defend oneself?

The point is, why would somebody fire on them? The Russians don't have an interest in that. Perhaps somebody else will. You know, somebody imitating somebody else...

Perhaps we now all know how people in 1914 felt when war was on Europe's doorstep. Very little you can do to avoid it. And these people had an excuse because they were less informed. No internet back then to look for real news instead of the stuff the MSM and state press feed you. Unlike the people back in 1914 I hope we also realize that a possible war will be very ugly. Like all wars but now we have sides armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons. Oh, and contrary to arms agreement I'm sure they have some biological and chemical weapons lying around.

I'm thinking similar. Every moment it might make boom and thats it.

But as one growing up in Germany during the 60s and 70s might notice not much has changed. Regularly every month the sirenes were howling all over Germany informing the population if the coming attack is "conventional" or atomic or biological or chemical. There were different signals for each kind of warfare.Giant Spring and Autumn military exercise were taking place. Often more than 100,000 soldiers were flown into Germany to man the tanks, trucks etc which were waiting for them in W-Germany. During the whole year fighter planes in great numbers were in the sky. But the autumn and spring events were gigantic. Autobahn strips were used as air strips in addition to the many US air bases in Germany plus a UK air base, one or two French air bases and the Canadian in the Blackwood forests. All Day ansometimes at d night the walls were shaking when the fighter planes went supersonic. Not to mention the French short range nuclear rockets Hades which were stationed at the Grman border having a range of just a few 100 km which ensured that they were coming down on German soil.

We were laughing and continued drinking or smoking since we all knew it was just a joke. There is no protection from such weapons. We knew Germany would have ceased to exist. It would have been just one big hole in the ground with 80 million killed people.

The same can happen now  as it could have happened then. At any moment.  This is a good time to open a bottle of wine, smoke a cigarette and visit a pretty chick if yoe has enough money and  one is still capable.

Its again live as long you can as if there is no tomorrow. Long wine and cigarettes and women. Dance on the vulcano!

NATO, North Amerikan Terror Organ is but a pathetic, limp dick appendage of the va$$al Uruppean statelets of which Britland is the most deUSional and psychotic. When it comes to interfering with the Russian Bear cleaning out the western sewer that the Anglozionazi Empire of Chao$ has created in the ME...it will be all bluster and lies as in Ukropland but NATO will do absolutely NOTHING to jeopardize the pedophiles in the Brussels Politburo and the gone-to-see debauched vassal rubber stamping govmints of Urupp itself.

Onward to the Potemkin Village collapse of the Ponzi sewer euphemistically called the Western "capitalist" system

The West's trategic shortcomings were demonstrated by the disastrous 500 million-U.S.-dollar program to train and arm moderate rebels, which generated only a handful of fighters....

This is the most nebulous spin you can put on the US actually funding the head-chopping moooslim radicals running rampant across the region. Not one person in a thousand can differentiate between the various opposition groups. Moderates. Pffffffff..............

While North Vietnam lost just 150 - 200 aircraft and helicopters.

That US assets? shot down by AAA Guns, archaic SA-2 SAM's and Mig's.

Indian AF Sukhoi30MKIs recently tharshed UK RAF pilots on Eurofighter Typhoons 12-0. A single Su30 shot down 2 Typhoons in a separate exercise. Russia will castrate the British and offer them their balls sliced on a plate (may be with some salt and pepper) !

The British Prime Minister and MPs come begging to India with a begging bowl every few months for Aid. India has been providing trade-aid to UK for quite some time now. Btw, India also has a massive FREE-aid program for Africa unlike trade based reciprocal aid given by NATO countries.

Its time India stops this aid to UK. India saved thousand of jobs in UK by taking over collapsing companies like Corus Steel, Jaguar-LandRover, Tetly tea, 5-star hotels etc. besides giving aid to British universities.

India should also give the NAVY-KILLER(not ship killer) missle Brahmos to Argentina to win back the Malvinas Islands(Falklands). Even US Navy shits in their pants when they see a Brahmos carrier ship in the oceans.
