Guest Post: The Ugly Truth Donald Trump Has Exposed

Tyler Durden's picture

Authored by Karl Denninger via The Market Ticker blog,

The fear in both the GOP and Democratic party is visible at the surface when it comes to Trump, and it's not that he's any of what they've accused him of.  No, it's really much simpler than that, and both Republican and Democrat parties, along with the mainstream media, are utterly terrified that you, the average American, is going to figure out what underlies all of these institutions in America.

No, it's not that they're evil.

It's worse, for evil frequently is recognized and fought back yet for decades America has not awakened to what has been going on in the political and media establishment.  It was evident during the Vietnam war and has only gotten worse since.

For those who don't recall the Tet Offensive was an attack launched by the NVA and VietCong by some 70,000 troops in a coordinated series of attacks across more than 100 targets.  It was an attempt to foment rebellion among the South's population.

Tet failed in its military objective, in that there were too few troops spread too thinly, and once the US and South Vietnamese figured out what was going on they literally slaughtered a huge number of the attackers.  To put perspective on this at the Battle of Hue roughly 500 US Marines and South Vietnamese were killed but over 5,000 NVA and VietCong died in that one battle alone.

The story was repeated through the country; while the North managed to attack they lost virtually the entire attacking force, while not managing to take one mile of territory.  They also failed to incite rebellion, which was the primary goal of the offensive in the first place.

Our media, however, reported that we lost.  They were present and they lied, including Walter Cronkite. Cronkite reported in February of 1968 that the war "was a stalemate and probably unwinnable" despite knowing that the NVA had virtually been rendered soldierless in the Tet offensive as their casualty rate ran ten times the South's.

Tet was a desperation move; the North was in serious trouble.  They were failing to take territory and losing men and material at an ridiculous rate compared to the Americans and South.  Simply put we were the better fighting force and it wasn't a close call.  In the first few days of their "offensive" they lost ten thousand men against about 750 on the other side and it just got worse from there with total losses on their side being close to 50,000, or virtually all of their remaining fighting-age force.

Cronkite didn't care about the truth.  He wasn't evil, he was indifferent.  He didn't give a damn about the fact that a totalitarian government was being handed a victory over millions of citizens, he simply wanted to make a further name for himself and push his political agenda.

Likewise there are those who claim that Obama and similar are evil in their view of Muslims and terrorism and of course they wish to draw a distinction between left and right sides of the aisle.  Wrong.  They're all indifferent.

The political goal is more power for them and their friends, mostly economic power.  More ability to extract from you by force and threaten you with jail or worse if you try to resist.  More power over your daily life.  More power to tell you that you must bake a cake for gays (because your religious convictions don't matter) but if your religious convictions are Muslim then they do matter and must be protected because that's where one of the big reservoirs of oil and undeveloped people that can be exploited in the future reside.

They literally don't care if you get blown up or shot and it doesn't matter if they're Democrat or Republican.  They don't care if you live under a freeway overpass because your health "insurance" that you are forced to buy covers so little that you have to spend $6,000 before one dime is covered, and you don't have $6,000.  They don't care that a Christmas Party was shot up by a couple of Islamic Nutjobs who they could have identified if they did care and in fact they shut down an investigation on "civil rights" grounds that probably would have identified the shooters years before.

Jeb Bush has never apologized for giving Driver Licenses to the majority of the 9/11 hijackers in Florida because he doesn't care.  What he cared about was making sure that illegal immigrants could roof houses during the housing bubble so his buddies could make money.  That 3,000 Americans died as a plausibly direct consequence doesn't matter to him.

Marco Rubio supports allowing the illegal invaders to remain here because he doesn't care if it screws you out of a job.  Like Bush, what he cares about is his corporate patrons that want cheap labor.  He cites all these Fortune 500 companies that were started by immigrants but I'll bet that not one of them was an illegal invader.  Ditto for his Nobel Prize winner claims.  Oh sure, they've been immigrants -- the legal variety.  The illegal ones are the roofers working under the table or the gang members.  That there is immense criminal and economic collateral damage doesn't matter to him; he's not evil, he's indifferent.

Ben Carson refuses, despite being a surgeon, to speak against the medical monopolies.  He knows exactly what's wrong in that regard both in the hospital and drug field.  He's not evil, he's indifferent to the damage that his own profession has done to you over the last 30 years.

Hillary Clinton knows damn well that during the Benghazi attacks there were military resources available to interdict them.  But she has famously said "what difference does it make" and, in her view, she's right.  She's not evil, she's indifferent -- to the lives lost there and to any other collateral damage including the arming of what has turned into Daesh!  Her goal is globalism, socialism and statism, all for her own personal aggrandizement.  That you are harmed or even killed doesn't matter to her.

Folks, this is where Trump is really freaking the establishment out.  See, Trump already has anything material that he wants, and if something pops up he wants and doesn't have he can simply stroke a check.  He has no need to play the indifference game; there is no amount of money he can gain or lose in his lifetime that will change his lifestyle.  He has his own security and doesn't need yours, he has his own money and also doesn't need yours.

The visceral reaction you're seeing in the media isn't about Trump's policies.  It's fear that's motivating them.

They fear that you might come to realize that you can't demonize the "other side" for being evil; rather, they are both equally guilty almost to a single man and woman at being simply indifferent as to how much you get screwed and by whom, up to and including your death and the death of your childrenso long as their desire for more power and control, either for them or their friends, is realized.

If that happens -- if you quit the left/right, republican/democrat, liberal/conservative game and instead demand the indictment of all of them for their treasonous and outrageously unlawful behavior along with their removal from office and are willing to back that up with action up to and including a general strike until they are all gone and in chains then they are all screwed.

That is what is driving the animus toward Trump.

Wake up America.

Another thing about Trump is they are treating a billionaire like shit, imagine that.

He has become one of us and he is our leader.

Who the fuck cares how this ends, I just want a fight and lots of other people do too.

The bastards need to be fried for all the shit they have done.

That much is theater. They know we hate them, so they set him up to be the vessel for our dissatisfaction. Very Hegelian and it works like a charm.

Behind closed doors they are absolutely orgasmic about Trump. People are actually paying attention to their dying news organizations again in no small part because of him.

They can't kill him or they get us.

This aint the early 60s anymore.

Look how it was, nobody put up a fight

or asked questions. The generation that

loved and trusted America. My mom lost her

first husband who was on a bombing run shot down

over France. Did she question the USA and the real

reason for going to war?  No.

Those people are gone now

we have the truth emerging all over the place.

A distinct possibility. That leaves three possible alternatives.

1. Armed violent insurrection/Revolution.

2. We sink into oblivion and WWIII.

3. The Second Coming.

Anyone who believes that Donald Trump will be their savior is more than a millimeter off.

He's just one more deception in a long line of deceptions. It matters not which party affiliation he has embraced at any given moment. The outcome of his actions and those of any politician from either political party will be the same.

Politicians exist to line their pockets with your money. Thus, they will serve whichever wealthy barons will pay them the most to steal from the populace.

Politics is power.

Politics is deception.

And politics is war.

It's funny how so many of those who are wealthy beyond imagination still prioritize having more, more, more. If you're not pathologically obsessed about money you don't ever get that rich in the first place, you retire to a life of luxury well before you get there.

Actually you clearly don't have a clue about people who build businesses.  Most owner entrepreneurs are primarily interested in the business and its success.  They welcome the money that success brings (and most entrepreneurs actually fail) both for its utility and as a measure of their success, but the primary measure is what they achieve in the business itself and the sense of thereby contributing to their community and to the people they employ.

If all they were after was more money, they could just sell up and put the cash into investent funds and spend all their time golfing like Obama.

Mon, 12/14/2015 - 12:44 | 6921846 FrankDrakman

thank you, Bazza.

What drives a lot of entrepenuers is the following calculus:

  1. They realize something is messed up. (e.g. taxi service)
  2. They realize a better way exists to do things (e.g. Uber)
  3. they build the better way, and hope that it catches on with the public.
  4. Profit! but also personal validation that their world view was correct

Trump is beyond the money part now; he's playing for the "personal validation". He wants to be remembered as the guy who cleaned the Augean stables of US government. He wants to be remembered as the guy who came into a dysfunctional government and make it work. He wants his crowning life's work to be the betterment of his country, so that he'll be remembered not as the guy with the funny TV catchphrase, but as the 'guy who fixed America'.

This is what drives him, and it makes all his comments understandable. He sees what's wrong, and addresses it in the most politically incorrect terms.

The proper analogy for Trump is "The Emperor's new clothes". He is the only one calling BS on what every normal American sees, but what every American 'courtier' (i.e. politicians of all stripes, MSM, university profs, etc.) is blind to.

Very weak analysis.

1) He is party crasher.

2) He would become commander of military - might disrupt the status quo.

Expect he will do a Ross Perot.

Trump is being vilified for putting the interests of the american citizens ahead of the interests of the political establishment, and their powerful donors.  It seems the issue the establishment cares most about is keeping a steady stream of cheap 3rd world labor flowing, despite any possible negative consequences regarding security and cultural drift. Perot was similarly attacked when he ran the same type of populist campaign in 92.  It's a real eye-opener to see how coordinated and organized the big political and media attack machine can be when threatened.  It's as if they are being driven by a single authoritarian force.

The Donald has the charisma and the "hair." Amb. Wanta can inform him of the REAL Reagan, and what it takes to right the Ship of State ..

Quite frankly, there is no one else on the planet that can ..

Dr. Preston James certainly helps here. He knows Amb. Wanta personally. Abby Martin's next guest needs to be Amb. Wanta. There is no one (including Putin, that Amb. Wanta actually paid Putin during the Cold War to perform "certain deeds" in the interest of international peace.) on the face of the planet like him ..

We know what the fate of the Titanic was. Yet, everyone here is arguing about who the new captain of the ship should be a year from now.

This Fascistic, Corporatist, Plutocratic system here in the US will cause its own demise in time because of its failure to serve the people, the common good. A collaboration between government and big business (Fascism), in which the corporates and career politicians are above the law, and which creates inequality, unemployment, kills incentive, destroys labor and the middle class, limits prosperity, etc. can not last for very long.

Everyone shut up and go do something that might be useful!

Of course they don't care, it is SYSTEMIC. This indifference / corruption / lack of morality is SYSTEMIC. If any of us were suddenly to evolve in these circles, we would do the same. Not because we're fundamentally evil, but because that's the rules of the game.

A french political analyst (Etienne Chouard) summarized it in a short sentence:

"We leave it to the people in power to write the limits of their power".

That's it.

There are similarities between the rise of a populist Hitler in Germany and of a populist Trump in America.

Hitler's extreme rants (Mein Kampf) were based on the fallout after the collapse of Kaiser Wilhem's WW1 march on France and the resultant "revenge" game played at Versailles on a defeated Germany.

Hitler surfed on the demise of the Weimar republic in that context; as the economy imploded; to whip up public sentiment to espouse radical measures, based on lost grandeur, race and hate of others.

Trump is surfing on the demise of US foreign policy in MENA, the resultant jihadist and refugee blowbacks, the ongoing Hispanic immigrant problem and the general state of the debt ridden economy; all this concocted by a corrupt and indifferent ruling political class who have played at Kaiser Wilhem and Weimar over the last 15 years.

Trump is now positioned on the Media scene as a neo-Hitler whose main message is making USA big and feared again and kicking out the "non AMericans" from his nation.

Therefore whatever we may say about the corruption inherent in the US Republic's current momentum his SOLUTION will be worse--if it plays out according to his avowed book as spouted on the Media-- than the problem; bad as it is.

History does rhyme very often, especially when things get truly unhinged. Tipping times of hegemonial collapse is evidently such a moment for Pax Americana's trajectory.

Politics is about choices. The US nation must realise that. SOme choices are irreversible. Hitler was one such choice.

Hitler's legacy  is now looming all over the world :

Race, military hegemony and elimination of the inferiour peoples via direct and indirect means (climate change being one that is insidious as "our way of life non-negotiable means millions displaced); and perpetual wars mean no basic rights  for populations where proxy wars rage.

These are now on the rise and the likes of Trump who sing this mantra :  "no compromise (non passeran)", has no deep insight about resolution except populist knee jerking which will add to the oil now being poured on the fire of military confrontations.

The Arab divide is ready to hit red hot with Turkey joining the game. Putin Turkey and Iran is some lineup, with the GOP-US itching to join the gang bang.

And we all know economic dystopia goes hand in hand with military options.

Trump is a lead man for the neo-con type populist knee jerk. He will want to make the Orient a nuked out region. He will have no choice if elected, 'Cos either you deliver or you run. And there is no diplomacy in Trump's rhetoric. Its confrontational.

Hitler's extreme rants (Mein Kampf) were based on the fallout after the collapse of Kaiser Wilhem's WW1 march on France and the resultant "revenge" game played at Versailles on a defeated Germany.

Read "The Myth of German Villainy" by Benton Bradberry. Also, my reading of Mein Kampf revealed Hitler to be doing anything but ranting. He was calling a spade a spade. He just got out propagandized by the tribe ... and they got to write the history and distort the education as a result. What's going on here (in our government) is a near perfect copy of what Hitler described in Mein Kampf.

He must have hit pretty close to home because the book got banned and you often can't find it on our library shelves (copies repeatedly mysteriously disappear).

I agree on one point : the Mein Kampf rant became reality; aka he meant it.

Hitler therfore proved time and again that "pieces of paper' he signed were nothing compared to his desire to impose : racial domination, military hegemony and final solution for the inferior races. Ghengis Khan had a true son 600 years after his own rampage accross Asia.

If you feel that philosophy is worth putting in practice to solve the existential problems of the world then you are not a son of Jefferson or any nation state of western world.

All those nations bow today to UN's universal rights declaration.

A piece of paper; and a name for infamy : genocide. Now a crime that is unforgiven in time by international Law.

So people have to learn to stand relative to that universal Rubicon.

Another POS putting words in Trump's mouth.

Trump has NEVER SAID " kicking out the "non AMericans" from his nation."

He has advocated sending illegal immigrants home, and closing the door to Muslims temporarily.

Trump is nothing like Hitler. "Mein Kampf" is the story of a loser who couldn't make anything happen. "The Art of the Deal" is the story of a winner who makes a lot of things happen. (does everything Trump touch turn to gold? Of course not. He's human and makes mistakes. But he wins lots more than he loses.)

So typical - so afraid of anyone who's willing to call out that the Emperor has no clothes, but with nothing substantive, let's call him names like racist, bigot, and Hitler.

"This time it will be different."

Nothing will be different until each of us takes PERSONAL responsibility for our political, moral, and financial futures. Most of us do at least one of these things, but we bail on the others.

Well put: they don't care.

However, they (those who gamed the system) see the beginnings of the Counter Revolution to the National Socialist Government we live under, and the Progressive movement which fostered it. As with all National Socialism there must be a race war to allow it to survive and this race war is currently against the White Race.

This coming revolution will be extremely violent on the order of magnitude of the French and Russian Revolutions and the first to get it will be those who created, fostered and gamed the current system. I mean think about it: how does an ex president of the US who has no business abilities whatsoever become worth $50 million. If those who revolt reset the constitution to a true capitalist republican form of government, then things will be relatively calm within a few months. If they do not and continue with National Socialism, the Black Race and the illegal immigrants will be the ones to suffer after the Progressives are wiped out.

To become a capitalist republican government again, there will have to be term limits, balanced budgets, no more administrative regulations, state appointment of Senators, voter ability to impeach Supreme Court and Federal Judges, a Constitutional Convention every 25 years, severe limitations on the commerce clause, the re institution of state defamation laws that require the press to tell the truth, and most of all no one who receives welfare will ever be allowed to vote until they repay the monies. Such amendments to the Constitution would end the Progressive movement and restore capitalism and our republican government.

So many people realize that this will never happen and they are stocking up on guns like no tomorrow. Deep down the White Race is awakening and realizing they are in a war.

_____________

Once an ex-president makes as much money as the "retirement" salary he is paid by the people of the United States, our taxes should NOT pay for his security or transportation or Any of his office costs. Let these presidents Fund themselves. That's as good a place to start cutting the budget as any.

The funny thing about history is how much Trump parallels with Thomas Paine.

Paine was the catalyst for the Revolution through his famous book, but afterwards he wasnt part of the fighting or the creation of a new government.  In fact, not long after his the Revolution took place, he was ostracized because his opinions started denigrating what the Founding Fathers were doing.

Paine, Lenin, Che... revolutionaries never make good administrators, and they always must find the 'next' revolution because that's all they are good at.

Trump is a Thomas Paine... sounding the clarion call against the evil empire but in reality will make a bad leader.  But the worst part in all of this is that we no longer have men of ability to take his wake-up call growing within the 'colonies' and create something good from this 'revolution', and thus in the end it will simply fizzle back to status quo.

Would have been a good article if not for the lack of understanding regarding Vietnam. The US lost the Tet offensive! The US chose to define "win" based on body count. That's not the metric the NVA was using! America STILL cannot wrap it's collective brain around Vietnam!  The US LOST in the Tet Offensive because it was a psychological operation. It demonstrated that the NVA wanted to win more than the US did. The Vietnamese would have fought to the very last man.  You cannot understand Vietnam without understanding the Vietnamese people. Try visiting the place. It will expand your mind.

Sad that a smart guy like Karl manages to be half confused.  While some of what he says is reasonable, much makes false assumptions and misses crucial points.

For example, he ignores the fact that invading nations is unjustified... even those controlled by totalitarian predators.  Look at Vietnam today.  Is life so bad for them, even after their totalitarian controllers prevailed?  This is a bit like the civil war that created the USSA in the mid-1800s.  Everywhere else on earth got rid of slavery without killing half-a-million "native sons".  The point being, Karl appears indifferent to the horrors caused by wars, while complaining that others are indifferent.

Karl also ignores the difference between "indifference about something outside your influence" and "indifference about something you are directly responsible for".  While it is better to not be overly indifferent to any important topic you are aware of, where one must not be indifferent is where one is responsible and a causal agent.

Which brings us to issues like so-called "illegal immigration".  That term is inherently fictional and meaningless.  Think about what the notion means.  It means that somehow all species (birds, insects, rabbits, snakes, etc) can freely travel anywhere on the planet without permission... but humans?  Oh no!  Can't have that!  The notion amounts to a claim that all species are inherently free... except for humans, who are inherently slaves.  I'm sorry, but one cannot acknowledge the term "illegal immigration" has meaning without making those literally insane and horribly corrupt assumptions.

But it is even worse than that!  Virtually all nations encourage foreign visitors... "welcome guests who hopefully spend their outside money into our economy".  So the notion cannot be claimed an attempt to "keep outsiders out".  That's not the fact.  Which means, the entire notion of "illegal immigration" is a blatant, transparent attempt to prevent "free association".

Then there is the other huge aspect of the issue that is typically ignored, namely "handouts".  Most humans accept stealing from human producers in order to fund handouts to human predators and parasites... as long as some fictional authority has deemed the human predator or parasites "one of us".  But if some of the human parasites are not deemed "one of us", well, that makes all the difference.  Right?  Forget that both are human beings, both have similar hopes, dreams, feelings, problems and goals.  That doesn't matter, right?  What matters is... which has the stamp of approval of some utterly, totally, completely fictional authority?

That's beyond insane, and beyond stupid.  Yet... most sheeple believe this, because that's what was repeated to them a million times, and absorbed into the mental-mishmash that passes for their "personal option".

What is sick (and part of the mistake Karl makes here and there), is to assume completely insane notions like these, which then lets him imagine he has addressed the issue, when he hasn't.  The only issue that needs to be addressed (beyond what is real versus fiction, which applies to every topic) is a system in which producers (prey) support predators and parasites.  Once that issue is addressed properly (as in "stopped"), the motivation for any category like "illegal immigrant" vanishes like a fart in a cyclone.

I like Karl.  He is a smart guy, raises some important points, and does identify important aspects of some issues, sometimes.  Yet other times Karl wanders off into the weeds due to false assumptions, or because he doesn't notice what aspects of issues are fundamental, and which are artifacts of his false premises.  And the only way to be successful in any intellectual or real endeavor, is to get the fundamentals right first and foremost.  Then whatever details remain can be dealt with effectively.

-----

On the topic, Trump may be a clown, and might be a disaster.  But Trump and only Trump has the potential to awaken the masses and expose them to the matrix.  I'm not saying this will happen if Trump is elected, I'm just saying it definitely won't happen if anyone else is elected.  In the end, it probably doesn't matter anyway, because the federal reserve would just have him assassinated, just as they did with Kennedy.  And probably they'd take action before the election... just to be safe.

I'm with you, Ann on most of what you say here.  Denninger has definitely gone paranoid, regretfully on our part.  But it was not the Fed that assassinated Kennedy.  It was Allen Dulles, Lyndon Johnson, the Cuban refugees and the CIA.

Bear in mind that in 1995, paying for my own insurance, cost me $65 a month, and think the "deductible" was around $100 a year. Now the Payments and Deductibles are Astronomical...and it's not Our American People that have created this problem. Here's the problem:

1 How many Mexican and Chinese and Other Foreign Babies have been paid for by the Welfare System?

2. There are more than One Million Men with Aids currently in the US. Each one will cost more than One Million Dollars in health care in their lifetime. PLUS, each gay guy (CDC statistics) has Repeated bouts of contagious stds that has to be treated, like gonorrhea and syphllis. All that costs money.

3. We are bringing into the US foreigners with LIFETIME diseases that must be treated. Not long ago, my local newspaper had an article on a foreign couple in their mid-forties, each of whom had a "disability" that needed constant attention and made them unable to work. Of course, they also brought in the rest of their entire family. Now multiply that by tens of thousands.

4. What the Hell is this Obesity problem in this country? Look back 30 years and you barely see any obese people? What the hell is going on? Look at the cost of obesity; it's ridiculous.

5. Why aren't cigarettes completely banned and why are states promoting Marijuana which is so much worse for the lungs? Ever listen to the coughing of those smoking marijuana? Looked at the resin on those marijuana pipes? All that is laying itself down in the lungs but we've spent Years and Decades promoting not smoking and now it's all fun and games for marijuana because the STATES are making the money and not the tobacco companies? In the old days marijuana was 3% THC; now it's around 45% (you can buy it this strong legally where states are selling it). That is heroin level marijuana, Stupification and destroying our kids. Bastards.

Time to clean this country up and it's not going to be easy or fun. Decency and people working (send all visa people and foreigners to their home; if mexicans are so great, let them go make mexico great, duh!). We are on the cliff of a Blade Runner country where they will convince you to drink your own pee water because, after all, they can "filter" it so great because: I'm from the government and I'm here to help you. Or not.
