Why Did The Pentagon Falsify Reports About Military Successes In Fight Against ISIS?
December 11, 2015 Republicans from the House of representatives of the U.S. Congress announced the creation of a special task team that will investigate the facts of distortion of data about the operations of the coalition in Iraq and Syria. The group will be to identify falsification in the reports, as well as figure out whether the problem is systemic in nature. The decision to create special group was adopted in November after more than fifty analysts of CENTCOM complained that their reports on the results of operations of the coalition against ISIS have been reduced in order to present the situation more positively.
Despite the fact that the preliminary results of the investigation must b? submitted only in January, Rep Jackie Speier has confirmed that the falsifications which underestimate combat capabilities of ISIS took place indeed. As one of such examples is the May statement of General Thomas Weidle, which said ISIS “loses and remains in the defense”. However, immediately after his speech, terrorists has captured the Central quarter of Ramadi, the administrative center of Anbar province. If American leadership possessed a clear picture of what is happening, it could take emergency measures and even prevent the ingress of arms, military equipment and ammunition to the hands of militants. The value of US arms and military equipment captured by jihadists equals hundreds of million dollars.
Indeed questions about whether we can trust the CENTCOM generals had to appear in October last year when ISIS captured supplies which US Air Force were supposed to delivered to Kurdish militia in besieged Kobani. According to the military press-release, in order to avoid capturing one of the caches which was blown by the wind from the place of destination, the military container was destroyed by the air strike. The rest of caches were successfully delivered. However, Pentagon spokesman Steve Warren reported that the two containers were lost on the route and only one cache was destroyed.
Moreover the military representatives thwart one another talking about the diversion of weapons into the hands of terrorists, they are confused about the total number of dropped containers for Kobani defenders (Warren reported about 28 containers, whereas previously said only 6).
In addition, the soothing assurances that the container captured by ISIS won’t give any advantage to the enemy are not convincing. Pentagon reported that only 80% of water and food which were transported by air for religious minorities in northern Iraq were successfully delivered. And as we see the Kobani example shows that even the use of GPS-guided parachutes can’t be insured. So, how many weapon American taxpayers gave to jihadists?
“Carefully selected” participants of the CIA program on training “moderate” opposition who easily join the jihadists tell us about the lack of awareness or even falsity of the American military leadership. Thus in September 2015 almost immediately after arriving from training camps to Syria “Division 30” has transferred all their equipment, arms and ammunition to Jabhat al Nusra. Unfortunately that was not the first time. Once again the unit commander told about the shortage of instructors and the lack of supply during the preparation of the CIA program. But it was allocated about $500 million for these purposes! What the money was spent on? To buy weapons for terrorists!
During the discussion of 2016 budget, almost every article in the mainstream media avoided the issue connected with the effectiveness and practicability of training “moderate” opposition in order to fight ISIS to the issue of what are the results of this opposition efforts against Assad. Are these things of equal value?
We hope that the special group of the House of Representatives will identify not only the scale of the fraud reports about the results of the coalition activity against terrorism, but also those persons who are responsible for these misconducts, as well as their motives. The international community wants to know who exactly Pentagon supplies with weapons and what installations it bombs.

That's a long post trying to say that women are not as good in your military as guys are...
The problem IS, you use our current military for your example. Of COURSE the girl in question decided she'd rather stay home with the kid than go to war, because 1) She's IN it for the money she needs to support that kid in the first place. 2) She isn't DEFENDING anything of hers from attack, and probably knows little about why we ARE there. 3) See no. 1...she's IN IT FOR THE MONEY.
It isn't the people in the military, it's the military itself...a corrupted organization will NEVER get anything from its recruits except more corruption. The recruits will operate under the same moral rules the organization does, and will reflect its values...
Many of those recruits are capable of so much more, but the current organization will never get more than the minimum out of anyone.
As for the women? Well my friend, I hope you never find yourself on the wrong side of an interaction with a woman who IS defending something of value, like her young...You'll get a whole new view of what a properly-motivated woman can do when she gets it into her mind to cause some damage.
Yeah, women don't perform well in our current military. Neither do guys. When money is the motivator, only bankers do their jobs for the right reasons.
It's very hard to get a good read on quality of personnel. Even in stats the military have figured out ways to make everything look squeaky clean on paper. Probably the best indicator would be ASVAB scores because those are raw scores of applicants. As soon as recruits enter the miltary pipeline everything becomes suspect. Example. During my Basic Training all the people on Profile (Basic = a lot) were marched out very very early in the morning before the rest of the battalion and apparently had their own "special olympics" where they all passed their PT tests with flying colors. You and I both know if the Army has to gig every single fuck-up for failing one their General Skills Test or PT Test or even during Marksmanship Qualification you'd see a 25%~30% dropout rate. How they supposed to make their quotas failing 30% of all recruits? So... in the dark of the night while nobody's watching all the whiny sadasses and the kids from FatCo get marched out and do 5 sit-ups that are marked down as 35, run a 40 minute PT test that is marked down as 18 minutes and do 5 push-ups that are marked down as 35. Pass. Pass. Pass. Blatantly fraudulent. This shit goes on and on. In T-school total retards who can't retain 10% of the material are simply given passing grades. There you have it. He passes AIT same as you or me. All one big fraud. Shit is rampant in the Army. Like I said man, I could go on and on and on.
Of course the quality of US military personnel has declined. A has the quality of almost all the world's militaries.
They managed to monetize the military, as they have monetized everything else. And just like we now have schools that don't teach, doctors that don't heal, religions that provide no moral guidance, elected officials that don't lead, food that does not nourish, justice that violates the law, etc, we now can add militaries that don't protect.
Oh, there's money to be made in all of these fields for the right people...LOTS of money...so I suppose it's a success for capitalism. It's just that the things THEMSELVES don't work, so one has to ask how long it can go on.

One of the 'realities' I mention above in another reply is the fact of the current global situation and its development over time. What you regard as adequately defendable, or the area and items in need of defense is not what the military thinks needs to be defended and deterred with adequate forces. Recent US strategic policy documents make it very clear what their thinking is, and how they got to their conclusions.
One other point, prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, there had never been a major non-European power who could use modern western technology and weapons like that. The West had been totally dominant globally, up to that point, no other challengers anywhere.

Including those in the Middle East. Make them angry enough and many will take up arms. People of any religion can find writings in their "books" that make fighting ok. Or they will make some up. It doesn't matter. If you "unfairly" kill someone, their family will seek retribution.
A better strategy is to live within your means, even if it means a reduction in the quality of living for a time. The answer is not to steal from your neighbors, killing some of them in the process.
