Nigel Farage's Car Sabotaged After Death Threats, Police Confirm "Foul Play"

Tyler Durden's picture

Outspoken UKIP leader Nigel Farage, who has received numerous death threats during his tenure as a European parliamentarian, spoke for the first time last night about being the victim of an assassination attempt after his car was sabotaged, causing a terrifying motorway crash. As The Daily Mail reports, Farage careered off a French road after a wheel on his Volvo came loose while he was driving from Brussels back to his home in Kent. When the police arrived at the scene, they told him that the nuts on all of the wheels had been deliberately unscrewed...

The "frightening" incident which took place in October, near Dunkirk, followed a series of poisonous feuds within his party over recent years, both in London and in the European Parliament, where he sits as an MEP.

As The Daily Mail reports, when the emergency services arrived, they told a shaken Mr Farage that he had been the victim of a malicious act.

"The French police looked at it and said that sometimes nuts on one wheel can come a bit loose – but not on all four," Mr Farage said.

"It was the middle of bloody nowhere, and I was caught in a very bad position...

There was a huge section of roadworks with cars going back and forth on the same side of the carriageway. I suddenly realised I was losing steering but there was no hard shoulder to pull on to.

I slowed down, put the hazards on and then one of the wheels came off. I jumped over the wall as quickly as I bloody well could to get away from lorries and everything."

When he was asked who he thought might have been responsible, Mr Farage replied: "I haven't got a clue. Quite frankly, the way my life's been over the past two-and-a-half years, nothing surprises me."

Mr. Farage said he had not asked police to pursue the investigation because he didn’t want to ‘make anything of it’. When asked if he had received death threats, Mr Farage said: "Of course. It’s not a particularly easy game, this."

He added: "The French police and mechanics looked at it but I have made no formal report in this country. The mechanics were absolutely certain of [foul play] but I have decided to take no further action."

Mr Farage frequently drives himself to his offices in the parliament buildings from Kent because he says it is the easiest way to juggle his ‘mad’ schedule. For security reasons, Mr Farage would not say where he parks his vehicle in Brussels.

He is a very brave man, and most of us wish him the best.

Fighting TPTB in Europe (USA, everywhere really) is hazardous.  Notice that he did NOT ask for an investigation by the cops...

"Liberal depravity"? The Tories are just as depraved and also hate and fear Farage. The whole bunch of the NWO Euro-Atlanticists, Labour, Tories, Lib-Dems, hate the guy. It could come from anywhere.

Farage is cutting edge.

The "future' is clearly regional. Witness Catalonia in Spain, Wales/Scotland in the UK, the Lega Nord in Italy etc..

The proponents of these movements merely recognize that materially distant centralized authority carries far more of a regional overhead and burden than is possible to maintain.

Basically the state of indebtedness of the Western Social Welfare Democracies, and the limits of human opportunity those debts impose upon their citizens, is a marker of the destructiveness and uselessness those 20th century legacy governments.

Their gradual morphing into worldwide fascism is their only hope to continue a semblence of their current structure, and yet that serves merely to propagate the deficiencies of 19th-20th century burocratic heirerarchy well into the 21st century.

Artificially created and encouraged conflict is staged around the world to attempt to justify the status quo, and remains the greatest anchor around the neck of 21st century humanity.

Farage gags the control freaks modern political education churns out-all of whom are invested in a highly centralized NWO.

"The "future' is clearly regional. Witness Catalonia in Spain, Wales/Scotland in the UK, the Lega Nord in Italy etc.."

possible. but it has very little to do with Nigel Farage, then he is not a regionalist, while regionalists are mostly pro-EU, something he isn't, quite the opposite

european regionalists, be them Catalans, Scots, Venetians, etc. generally seek secession from their national unions, not secession from the EU

generally speaking... Catalan secessionists seek secession from Spain... and an own seat at the EU

generally speaking... Scottish secessionists seek secession from the United Kingdom... and an own seat at the EU

generally speaking... Venetian secessionists seek secession from Italy... and an own seat at the EU

and so on

Nigel Farage seeks something completely different, he wants the United Kingdom out of the EU, out of all the treaties that in his opinion shackle the UK

Nigel Farage is highly critical of Scottish independence and regionalism, and Scottish independentists are highly critical of Nigel Farage

just facts, folks

The only facts, regardless of all the ancillary dielectic involved in regionalism, is whether or not the movements may enhance or weaken the regional asset-stripping that is the driving force behind regionalism.

They will progress more rapidly if the corporate-banker-EU complex can figure out how to preserve or enhance their regional asset-stripping programs in the process.

The regional goals clearly are to get out from under these burdens of a greater political-corporate organization. At some point the demographics overwhelm the corporate-banker-EU complex.

That may or may not be in mine or Farage's lifetime

Well, he had a British car, which was missing a wheel, with more loose nuts and bolts, blocking a French road. That's all the French police can be certain of, those are "the facts". The rest of the story is suspect and uncorroborated claims from a person who was found in a mentally shaken condition close to the vehicle.

Very little good can come out of such case. The most likely outcome is that they never find the culprits, but find some minor problem in, say, Farage's actions or his car's road-worthiness -- like find him negligent for not checking the car/tyres better before starting his long tour.

"Everything you say/provide can/will be used against you" also works in European countries. Save the statistics and funding, blame the victim.

Never been entirely sure if Farage is not some sort of controlled opposition to the EU.

His party seems so indisciplined that it is hard to believe they are anything other than an attempt to make anyone opposing the EU seem like a racist  and sexist buffoon.

The reality, of course, is that there are countless intellectual commentators opposed to the EU- but they refuse to gravitate to the clownish UKIP- therefore depriving the movement of proper cohesion.

Also, since he is 'absolutely certain of foul play', why does he not wish for some further investigation? If someone had made a sustained attempt on your life- wouldn't you at least want an investigation if only to deter a further attack? Or did it not really happen the way he tells it?

Well, 90% of Saudi oil is in the eastern province, and that province is 90% Shiite, so in effect the Shiite cause there (to break away from the Sunni dominated majority) would be "stealing" the oil as it would leave them with virtually nothing left.  So it is a valid interpretation from Trump that Iran is trying to steal Saudi oil when they support the seperatist Shiite cause in Saudi Arabia, it is a tad crude as it ignores the religious reasons, but it is essentially correct.

He also says in the speech that ISIS was created by Obama, something of a bombshell for the mainstream media.
