Energy stocks surged (notably after the news of an Aramco bus on fire) but crude did not...
And we note also that XIV (Inverse VIX ETF) was smashed higher at the same time... Someone wanted stocks higher in the face of potential problems...
While stocks oscillated wildly, Treasury yields also swung around from -3bps to +3bps ending with the long-end underperforming...
The USDollar Index rose once again hitting one-month highs... (though we note that Asian FX was unch against the Dollar on the day)
As The Loonie hit a new 12 year low...
Gold and Silver rallied furthger, despite the dollar gains, copper was flat but crude crumbled...
Crude pushed notably lower, back below $36 to 2-week lows...

Allow me to add something here ..
I just lost my dad right after Thanksgiving. I was in ICU and witnessed his passing. He died from a combination of heart failure, kidney failure, complicated by pneumonia. He was 82, and lived a long and prosperous life.
He was on life support (respirator) at the time of his death. We all watched as his heart rate went to zero. His brain activity (EKG) shortly followed. We as a family then decided to take him off life support.
As we sat with my dad's corpse, I noticed on the scopes that the heart rate read zero, but the line graph was not completely flat line, and was showing some activity. The doctor explained to us that was residual electrical activity. Hollywood is wrong showing a complete flat line. That never happens.
So, a corpse can show residual electrical activity for some time past no heart rate and brain activity. I suggest that may well be what we are witnessing with the economy, if we treat it as a living organism. The economy died on Monday, August 24. We took it off life support then. [1]
As Jim Sinclair stated to Greg Hunter on Tues. Aug. 25, all other activity post the 24th is and will be PSYOPs. It's all a charade. The corpse is just showing residual electrical activity.

Mr. Denton, let me offer my condolences on the loss of your father. I know what it is like to lose a parent as my own father passed away this year. The strange thing was that he passed away in April and my mother died ten years earlier in 2005. As a matter of fact, she and my father both died on the same day of the month, which was an amazing coincidence. My father expressed his desire that he wanted to pass away quickly and without any complications, especially from a prolonged illness or complications of any kind. By god he got his wish and I am glad that he did. Thank you lord for the painless death of my father!
