He would make reading assignments then oversee class discussions. He asked questions but was never much for answering any.

My first impulse is to tell you to fuck off and die. But if this will make one person out there who is thinking of taking up arms in the service of the vampire squid rethink his/her position, I'll bite.
I was just a flightline mechanic. I never pulled a trigger except for annual qualification. But i was part of a larger mechanism that was opressing and even murdering people all over the world in the service of US financial interests... and that's bad enough. The closest I came to direct involvement was during the many missile strikes against Iraq during the late 90s, when a few B52s were flown into Guam from wherever-the-fuck and from there flew a mission from which they returned a helll of a lot lighter. I was on the flightline that night; I delivered service equipment to those birds. not much, i know. And being the asshat I was at the time I actually believed they flew for a good cause. Still, you do realize that if those of us on the line that night hadd not had our blinders on we could have stopped it by simple refusal to participate.
No, it's not a gut-wrenching nightmare horror story. Still bugs me. I was a part of some of the worst evil the world has ever known.

I was AGE... Aerospace Ground Equipment. Can't remember the AFSC# anymore; it's been too many years. I suppose it'd be easy enough to look up if anyone wanted to bother. I spent three years at Shaw AFB in South Carolina, with TDYs during that time to Nellis AFB Nevada, Incirlik AFB Turkey, and another in South America that I can't disclose. I then took out a six month extension to accept an assignment at Anderson AFB, Guam. Total time in service 4yrs 6mths 8 OCT 92- 7 MAY 97; ETSed as SRA.
