"The Assassin Is Still Out There": Charlie Hebdo Identifies Terror Culprit

Tyler Durden's picture

Thursday marks the one year anniversary of the attacks on French satire mag Charlie Hebdo.

Last January, gunmen killed 12 people at the magazine's offices in an apparent act of "revenge" for the publication's satirical depictions of the Prophet Mohammed.

For those struggling to understand how society has devolved to a point where such atrocities are possible, even commonplace, here's Hebdo with one explanation:

In case there's any ambiguity there, that's God with a Kalashnikov. The text reads: "The assassin is still out there."

Actually, Jacob was still trying to figure out how to respond when two of his sons, Simeon and Levi, acted on their own and went medieval. When Jacob found out about what they had done, he complained to them.

30 Then Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have troubled me by making me obnoxious among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites; and since I am few in number, they will gather themselves together against me and kill me. I shall be destroyed, my household and I.”

31 But they said, “Should he treat our sister like a harlot?”

Sure there is freedom of speech, but would one be so stupid as to go into a biker bar and mouth off to a very ugly and intoxicated biker without expecting a fight?

This crap is all about Personal Responsibility. It is illegal to yell fire in a crowded venue and should be. It should also be a criminal/civil act for someone who intentionally and maliciously causes (including the media) such acts to occur by written or spoken word and should also be held as liable as the terrorists. This is not about being PC as much as it would be reasonable to expect that writing or speaking maliciously would cause reactions that result in damage or death.

You miss the point. The Jihadists want to turn every inch of the world into that biker bar you describe. Only idiots would do as you suggest and mouth off in there -- but again -- the Jihadists think the ENTIRE WORLD (including inside your home) is the equivalant of your biker bar scenario.

Hebdo is correct. They are one of the few media organizations that actually stand up to the Jihadists and they paid heavily for it. That is not a reason to shrink back and recoil -- its a reason to take the Hebdo fight forward through all of us.

Then why intentionally and maliciously be the spark that you know damn well and with certainty will cause fatalaties/mass casualties and/or property damage?  Words must be chosen as wisely as possible in certain delicate situations. If you call a biker a cocksucker and then get turned into a pretzl, the judge will laugh at your freedom of speech defense and charge you with slander/battery/causing a riot and probably a few other charges under all those new anti terrorist laws, and send YOU out for a psychological examination/hospitalization. It is actions of the initiator that should pre-empt freedom of speech in such cases.

There is a point where humor such as Larry David pissing of a crucifix or Hebdo's latest thing regarding the pope (The Vatican just recognized the State of Palestine) which is the inpetus of the latest fiasco. If David Duke started a magazine and published similar things regarding another religion, there would be hell to pay as well. It is the words and actions of idiots that have resulted in the loss of many of out freedoms to date. Don't push your luck.

19 January, 2015 According to reports, the Dutch business magazine "Quote" means the Rothschild banking family took over the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The editors of the magazine Critical religion had been attacked on 01/07/2015 by several Islamist bombers. In this case, 13 people died, including the chief editor of the magazine. According to "Quote" there have been discussions  about the acquisition of the publishing company and ultimately a take-over was op;ted for. "There were some serious objections to the takeover frommy uncle Baron Edouard de Rothschild. Some relatives wanted to block the purchase because that would make us a political force in the media . We want to void this at all costs. We have nothing to do with politics. Ultimately, the critics in the family were overruled.” The interview was about the purchase of the French newspaper "Liberation", which now published with the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. A million was spent on this. The magazine was launched on Wednesday with a million copies and reached worldwide fame. According to "Quote" Philippe de Rothschild has had a majority stake in the newspaper chain which incorporates the Charlie Hebdo editorila baord is now housed, since December, . Talk about losers? Try those Oregon "patriots" The Mormon Church has disowned them because the "patriots" said they were there due to their Mormon religious beliefs.

I Like the new term for those geniuses 'YallQaeda' and 'VanillaISIS'... Ha!

Anyhow, even the Native American tribes that ACTUALLY LIVE THERE want them O U T .

Good lord those morons stepped in it. And much of it due to the fact that these idiots fell for fake American support for the "patriots" coming from state controlled Moscow troll teams. It's hard to even comprehend the idiocy these dandies swim in...

Local tribal council: Oregon militants "need to get the hell out of here"

The leadership of the Burns Paiute Tribe, a Native American tribe that once occupied the Malheur National Wildlife refuge, called on the militant protesters to go home on Wednesday.

"They just need to get the hell out of here," Jarvis Kennedy, a member of the tribal council, said at a press conference, as reported by Oregon Live.

"They say they don't want to bother the community, but you know what? Our little kids are sitting at home right now when they should be at school," Kennedy continued, referring to school closures that have resulted from the armed protest.

"The protesters have no claim to this land; it belongs to the native peoples who continue to live here," tribal chairwoman Charlotte Roderique said, as noted by KTVB. "The Malheur refuge is an important place for us. We have no sympathy for those who are trying to take their land from its rightful owners."

Man behind armed Oregon band says he's on mission from God

"I did exactly what the Lord asked me to do," Bundy said in a YouTube video posted last week in which he appeals to people to join him in Oregon to protest the treatment of the Hammonds.

In a statement issued Monday, Mormon leaders said the Oregon land dispute "is not a church matter," but they condemned the seizure and said they were "deeply troubled" by reports that suggest the armed group is acting "based on Scriptural principles."

A leader of the group Oath Keepers_past and present members of the military, first-responders and police officers who pledge to uphold the Constitution— issued a statement saying Ammon Bundy has gone too far. Many Oath Keepers were at the 2014 Bundy ranch standoff in Nevada.

But in Oregon, Oath Keeper founder Stewart Rhodes said, Ammon Bundy had picked the wrong battle.

"We cannot force ourselves or our protection on people who do not want it," Rhodes said last week on the group's website.

---

Speaking through their attorney, Dwight Hammond Jr. and son Steven said they preferred to turn themselves in and serve out their sentence.

Ammon Bundy himself has benefited from federal programs. Records show that in 2010 he borrowed $530,000 through the Small Business Administration for his company, Valet Fleet Service LLC. On Tuesday, he justified the loan by saying he is not anti-government but is opposed to federal policies that go against the people's will.

They dont have to tell me, I could go through a lot with you, but I dont have the time to educate morons, about how the DOJ used FIRREA to Sue BAC for 16 billion in shareholder money after they bailed them out which went against bail out laws... I understand exactly how this sleaze ball government operates...This is just one example.  Most people aren’t perfect friend, Im more interested in the cause and the cause is an unjust system? Ask the Black Lives Matter movement? Its about Unjustness.. You can turn it into anything you want to, but nothing will change until the UNJUSTNESS is addressed PERIOD. You want to avoid and prolong these problems with your approach... Do you have an education?  These events will continue, riots will continue, you my friend are the biggest part of the problem because you help it to continue on.  These are but symptoms of a larger problem? Address or dont? The Choice is yours, it will just get worse until you do?  I was wrong when I said they were not on solid ground, really it couldn’t be more solid.  Unfortunately Its fucking MORONS like you that will never get it?  BTW GFY! What a waste of my tax payer dollars YOU ARE!

Our government is SLEEZE  How will them leaving help the Black Lives Matter Movement?

Now HammerHead, If you could come up with a reasonable response to the more sensible parts of this statement we might be able to say we have made some "progress"?  A baby step lets say? but none the less Progress?

Hammerhead must be off the clock?

We need people in our government who are concerned with solving problems not prolonging them.

You wanted a reasonable response. There it is. Lay off the dope and go run for office. Make the change son. It doesn't get any more "reasonable" than that.

Unfortunately there is such a misconception of marijuana based on government propaganda and with my past people would have reservations? Ive made mistakes, thats why Im experienced? The public likes people who have never made mistakes which are the worst people for the job? I know what I can change, I know what I cant change? I do what I can to contribute.  One of the things I do is fight the virus of thought which I first heard of from Jim Grant.  There is a virus of thought and we must try to find what is real and true? I dont claim I know, Im just on the path taking observations to the best of my ability.  Im not always right, but I try to get as close as I can.  Im not electable? Im too vulgar, offensive and unacceptable, and to be honest I really like it that way!  I could never be as fake as what is required at the moment.  I wouldnt be a ripple.

I understand completely what your saying about both sides and I know for sure I really know nothing, I know to the best of my ability or info available, but thats as far as I know... What I look for is balance to know if its GOOD or BAD... Things are way out of balance to Uncle Shams side so I go to the ANCHOR Position of the Tug of War to bring things closer to the middle... So sometimes I will go far out, but only to bring balance back? The herd these days goes hard to one side or the other its unreal.  Ive always been an Independent, Ill switch for Trump just for this election.

I will say its not all Russia, Ive experienced the legal system, there is a reason things are like this, we need a government that is capable of looking inward and criticizing itself?  Its the people who cant defend themselves that are getting hammered.  Lately I do get along and respect very much the law in my area.  They are good people and Im lucky for that, There are good and bad people everywhere, we need to be more aware of that.  The law has been crafted by greed for so long everything is out of balance and will only get worse till this specific issue is addressed. We need people mature enough to deal with issues to get elected.  About 80% cant stand the Congress or the Senate, thats not Russia?

How is CNN helping by calling these guys terrorists and so forth, some of the headlines are unreal? Talk about stoke and provoke? Why dont we try to understand what we can do so it doesnt happen again?

If you think people dont trust their government right now wait till the people find out the market is a complete hall of mirrors, you think it will get better... That they have been lied to for 8 years? The best thing Uncle Sham could do would be to start being as honest as they can, where ever they can.  The thing is I know they cant because most of its about money.  The root of all evil.

The fact that we have the highest incarceration rate in the world is proof there is imbalance.

One of the ways I qualify... I got ripped out of my house at around 10pm on a false arrest after serving a very short sentence with my daughter in the house, tried telling the guy he was wrong, wouldnt listen? Great experience! Its a pretty helpless feeling.

The only times I ever encountered law enforcement was because of alcohol or prescription drugs, never weed and it always involved driving.. alls I can say is I was lucky, Ive never been a criminal, just an addict.. I wouldn’t change a thing if I had it to do over again.

Pot meet kettle... And boy are the "patriots" ever asking for violonce now. The FBI has been tracking an 'unhinged' anti-Muslim activist Oregon protester for months.

Jon Ritzheimer, a well-known anti-Muslim activist who has been monitored by the FBI, is among the armed protesters occupying a federal building in Oregon.

Among his latest videos: a rambling, 13-minute diatribe full of fatalism and posturing. The message was posted on New Year's Eve and showed Ritzheimer crying as he said goodbye to his family and reminded them that he swore an oath to protect the Constitution at all costs.

Heidi Beirich, who heads the Southern Poverty Law Center's Intelligence Project, told The Washington Post. "I think he's potentially very dangerous. He often comes across as literally unhinged. He's rabid about everything. If I was a member of federal law enforcement up there in Oregon, I would be very concerned."

But Ritzheimer, "is up there saying things like 'we're going to fight to the death.' He's taken his crazy from one world to the next."

A subsequent fundraising campaign seeking $10 million to provide security for his family fizzled and was shut down three days after it had started, according to Raw Story.

There are two Abrahamic faiths that share the God of Israel. Allah has no love for Israel, to put it mildly.

Islam is a half-baked mixture of the debased Judaism of pre-Islamic Arabia and bloody-minded Arab chauvinism. It teaches, in the face of all evidence, that the Arabs are some kind of master race with a mandate from Allah to take over the world and rule it with an iron fist, that the prophets of the Bible (including Abraham and Jesus) were Arabs, not Jews, and that the real Jewish nation is an abomination to be wiped out without mercy. Islam is everything Jew-haters accuse Judaism of being and far worse besides.

Abrahamic? Satanic is more like it.

Oh, the irony! Those morons use the French "L'assassin," apparently being entirely ignorant of the historical derivation of the word "assassin":

a member of the Nizari branch of Ismaili Muslims at the time of the Crusades, when the newly established sect ruled part of northern Persia (1094–1256). They were renowned as militant fanatics, and were popularly reputed to use hashish before going on murder missions.
