Cultural Marxism Explained In 7 Minutes

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Joseph Salerno via The Mises Institute,

This is an excellent short video explaining the source and nature of Cultural Marxist movements like political correctness, modern feminism, pansexualism, multiculturalism, "whiteness studies," etc.

For an in-depth critique of the thinkers whose writings shaped Cultural Marxism, see Fools, Frauds and Firebrands:  Thinkers of the New Left by the eminent British philosopher Roger Scruton.  Scruton brilliantly exposes the pretensions, obscurities, and inanities of Sartre, Foucault, Galbraith, Marcuse, Lukacs, Habermas, Adorno, Rawls, Dworkin and others of their ilk.

The book is not just a philosophical tract but a work in critical political economy and contains one of the most penetrating discussions of the Marxist labor theory of value that I have ever read.

Yeah, a few drops of Creek in me too but obviously we're both raaazist to cultural marxists who only see our "whiteness".

Which is odd in itself, THEY ONLY SEE THE COLOR, not the individual ;-)

"Those that kept to themselves did fine" ....right, like how Andrew Jackson promised them that after just one more relocation(Trail of Tears) that the natives could keep everything west of the Mississippi, and the "civilized" people would remain to be east.

Well, I guess we'll have to go back and ask why the Canarsie "Indians" sold land to the Dutch they didn't own.

The Dutch you see, came to the "negotiation" under the misrepresentation that the Canarsie actually "held title" to the land...which is what the Dutch understood (the concept of title) about real property.

Your fellow "bachelor degreed traveler" above can confirm all that.

The Dutch got ripped off by Indians regarding buying Manhattan...but was it intentional? ;-)

I'm not talking about the fucking Dutch, or any of the European colonies even. I am talking about the actions of THIS government, well after it was established in the name(supposedly) of liberty and justice for all. Well after it was electing its own presidents and creating its own laws. There is no way to excuse the way the US government reneged on its treaties and systematically wiped out any native resistance to the many injustices they faced long after the Dutch had anything to do with it.

You're gonna have to get over this thing in your head about "the noble redman", there is no such thing. That "concept" was implanted in your head.

Given the opportunity, they would have done the same thing to whitey, they did it to each other, they're human too.

Get over it.

I don't just mean in the third world; capitalism has destroyed the native European cultures as well. The only one it hasn't affected is the Jews.

I often like to remind people of the same thing about Christianity- it isn't European! It's just as foreign to Europe as Islam and Judaism, it just got imposed there first...if people really wanted to honor their European roots they would worship nature, and go back to celebrating the solstices

Until you name the people and forces behind implementing Cultural Marxism you're just wasting your time.

It's not to hard to name the people that are actively destroying our society, you just have to be brave enough to look behind the curtain.

Not sure why you were voted down for that. The realization that resources are not infinite unless we get off the planet, seems to be a reasonable one. If we do not care for the planet and be good stewards over what we have, we will indeed perish as a species. Earth is indeed our mother.

Our current societal norms and goals are premised on infinite growth. Can't do that without space travel, amongst some other things. Respect for limits is a no brainer.

And your reward for defending a very basic principal that is so inescapably true it shouldn't need defending?  3 reds.

It is this type of manic and irrational 'capitalism' that repulses so many against all things capitistic.  Never will you hear Janus bandwagon with these nuts who want to castrate the west with climate theology.  But when soulless 'capitalists' fail to fold spirituality and our obvious duty to conduct ourselves as stewards of these gifts endowed of The Creator, particularly this incredible planet, it tends to cast a dubious pall over all the rest of their positions.

"...not even a sparrow's perishing escapes His knowing."

And these 'capitalists thing they can despoil and decimate His creation cavilierly and with impunity?  Hardly!  God is not mocked...especially in  His Own splendid and mafnicent turf, and particularly as regards His lovely lady, Mother Earth.

Capitalism sans a soul is just marxism with incentives.

By the definitions of things set forth in that video, everyone who participates on this website is a "Cultural Marxist. The person who put that together did that with such broad brush stokes and an apple picked agenda, they have rendered the term aboslutely useless for distinguishing anything.

Everyone is a cultural Marxist according to that.

Many of the theorists listed in that thing have ideas that subvert the very things it claims are being reified into existence by the ideas...

If you are a theorist (not someone who is married to one set of ideas because your career depends on it), that thing is an outrage.

Dangerous.

Let the fucking games be-Goddamn-gin.

Where do these ideas originate anyway?

Many cultures around the world do not subscribe to our system of doing gender. Some have three, some have more. Two is arbitrary. 1/100 people are born with traits that do not conform to the gender binary as we have it set up. That is before we talk about sexual orientation which is a different concept that is frequently conflated with gender.

Further, for cultures that do subscribe to the idea that there are only 2 genders, the traits associated with those genders are not universal to all cultures. Women wear skirts here, men wear kilts in Scotland, both male and female Arabs wear similar garb you might think of as a dress. Gender roles are not universal.

The ideas are originating in both medical science and the social sciences.

"gender binary"

You sound like a silly feminist.

All animal life on earth that (except a few asexual beings) reproduces, does it sexually.

As in male/female, internally or externally.

Two homosexual animals cannot reproduce, so they are genetic losers by that fact.

Human society has functioned for thousands of years having opposite sex relationships.

Its just basic logic.

Something you seem to be lacking.

It is about how you define biological sex, for starters... "Sex redefined"

The idea of two sexes is simplistic. Biologists now think there is a wider spectrum than that.

My studies are incomplete, but I see those who attacked Jesus as Jewish. They studied the old testament, they were maticulous in keeping it from being destroyed, but used it to control people rather than actually doing study through the spirit.  The old testament spoke of the coming of Jesus hundreds of times, but Jesus would take their power away, so instead of bringing truth to the people, they killed Jesus. Jesus also said He will not return to them until they blessed the one who came to save. Ever since then, the darkness over the jews hearts have caused massive death and destruction, and deception.  And I dont see it ending anytime soon.  If you read my posts, I never bash jewish people because i dont like to lump everyone into one box, I am just sharing some of my learning...

When I share my thoughts, I realize I am still learning. Nobody taught me these things when growing up....But I have another issue. In the book of revelations, it speaks of "they call themselves jews, but are not"...Then I searched the Rothchilds and find they call themselves jews, but are really khazars...If things would have been taught to me when young, and my mind more aware and clear, it would have been nice. My mind is not as young as it used to be...I was taught to say allegiance to a fucking flag, and hide under my wooden desk in case Russia nukes us, and to support wars of aggression because we were a "christian" nation.  All lies.

I dont think its a label put on whatever philosophy use choose to pick...I think it is the darkness of the hearts that control mankind. And those in darkness seem to rise in power to control destiny. Whether it is capitolism, marxist, christian, atheist, islam, muslim, even austrian economics vs. keynesian economics..It doesnt matter. Its who control the philosophy.  This is way beyond labels, it goes back to the beginning of mankind, and the good and bad in mens hearts. I use to call myself a christian, but not anymore, its just a label. I still have my belief in the trinity, but calling myself a christian makes me sick after I see what all the christians have done..same with atheists and muslims and etc. I will look to the hills from which my strength comes, and I will throw off all indoctrination, and do my best to keep my heart pure. Amen. And I dont think drinking beer, or smoking a bud, or looking at a nice figured girl, or saying cuss words, or women not covering their heads, etc are sins. I think SIN is people who do not search for wisdom and understanding. .The greatest sin in this country is the indoctrination centers they call skools, sold out churches, and the deception of mainstream media, and hollywood.  It is written.
