Chaffetz may have woken to a horse head under the sheets. Was made an offer he couldn't refuse.

Chaffetz's leaving will free up a lot of media space for another ambitious self-promoting congresscritter.

Standing up to Satan isn't for the faint of heart

DownWithYogaPants's picture

If Satan or gods really existed the only result would be a loss.

No one would win against a Satan.  Don't be my brother in law the fundamentalist who is convinced he is holy and clean enough to battle the forces of evil.  He's not and the highest of likelihood is you are not either.  I sure as shit know I'm not.  Unfortunate but true.

Scuba Steve's picture

Just keep sukkin on your boyfriends cock, but dont belittle your brother-in-laws choices to justify your sordid world.

The fact that you opined says you think you know all, after agreeing you're nothing in your own eyes.

robertsgt40's picture

Clearly, you're spiritually dead. Good luck with your future.

hxc's picture

All people are clean enough to fight evil.

Love ya Yoga but what kind of stupid fuckin logic is that? Only perfectly moral people can take a stand against evil? I get disliking religion or whatever, but nobody is perfect. Do you want NOBODY to take a stand against this satanic CRAP???

Kudos to you for being honest, but something makes me think that you haven't encountered the living Christ.  Aristotle described a version of God as the prime mover, the unmoved first mover.  I know this is off topic, but a divine hand that models sacrificial love for us, sure would give meaning to some of this chaos.  And the universe tends to the infinite, else you could put up a fence on the far edge of it.  But what's on the other side of that fence...?

Perhaps he has come to the realization that everything he has been taught was a lie and the US is truly under foreign control.

Chupacabra-322's picture

@ froze,

The reason the Deep State wants Trump out is that he can't be bought and he has no skeletons in his closet that are serious enough to threaten him. They are using every tool at their disposal, including the media and the crooked bought and paid for Congress critters to exploit any verbal faux pas that Trump makes and then threaten impeachment. In the meantime there is a boat load of evidence against Hilary Clnton and the Clinton Foundation, and you don't hear a word about it anymore. It is totally insane.

You are the sucker for believing all this crap. The question you should be asking is why is Congress wasting their time and your tax dollars investigating things which either do not exist or are of no significance nstead of getting down to business and actually dealing with the nation's problems?

Conspiracies are really just a Bias term for the truth we do not want to believe in.

And, yes. The Foreign Controllers are run out of the City of London.

My scholarly father who "specialized" some of his studies in the civil war was offended when I told him that the british crown was the actual winner of the "civil war" and the republic has been dead since the south seceded.  Sad he never questioned his books....but then again, he was probably mainly insulted about the fact that the original 13th amendment meant that anyone of his position would have simply been ineligible for citizenship, nevermind any sort of political office.

Ghost of PartysOver's picture

Hmmm, I wonder what he knows AND what the Deep State knows about him.   Truly the Real Game Of Thrones.  They way I see it is that the only way to salvage Murica is for the States to TAKE back power from DC.  Because DC sure as hell will not give it back.

Flair1239's picture

The more I see, the less I think that things will correct themselves. At this point I think that some form of upheaval is more likely than not. My goal through this is to keep the family safe and see where things come down.

Because what I think we are seeing is a corrupt state in it's death throws. The overwhelming debt, the debased currency, the political corruption, the loss of a free press, and the stupidification of the general populace is just too much for the system to bear. Eventually reality needs to prevail... doesn't it?

el buitre's picture

Reality!  What a concept!

Ah, it's throes:

But I quibble - you are quite right and quite cogent in your argument, but using a homonym cuts into your explanation.

Ghost of PartysOver's picture

Flair, I am starting to see it the same way.  The final straw for me is obviously what the Deep State is doing to Trump.  I see no way out of this as both sides have dug in.   There truly is a Culture War war going on in Murica but is is a three sided war which complicates thing.  1) Those who believe in Freedom and personal responsibility, 2) The Socialist / LGBT crowd, 3) the Deep State.

Throughout history, this is exactly the kind of shit that happens as an Empire declines.  At this point in the decline those who are paying attention can see it clearly, though most people's lives go on as always.  Those who have benefitted the most are starting to get nervous and move toward the exits, doing whatever they can to stall the inevitable and secure their accumulated advantage.

Every Empire has gone through this phase on the way to collapse.  And "collapse" has meant different things to every Empire, because they are all different and every era is different.  Things go a lot faster nowadays due to technology, but it's the same process.  But I've been to Rome and it's full of people going about their business and getting things done.  England, France and Spain are all going concerns.

We will be too.  But it will be very different.  And the transition could be very iffy, if we don't start confronting the reality about the inevitable.  I don't share the "Turner Diaries," "The Road", "Mad Max" dystopian fears of many, but to not expect daily life to be affected, and to not take steps to safeguard your family's basic necessities would be crazy.

hxc's picture

Mad Max (individualist anarchism) would be better than this nazi neocon communist bullshit!!!

YOU might be right about the FBI.   He seemed chipper on the news last night.  (not sick, not shying away from the press/scandal, etc)

sessinpo's picture

I doubt it. He's been wanting to bail from politics for a while. I don't think he wants to be in DC when it goes up in flames.

Exactly, this is getting real.  You have to wonder if this wasn't set up for trump to be the catalyst for the economic implosion.

To be honest slow smart guys had 6 months already to plan for Trump Presidency.

Smart guys would have seen Trump Popularity and had 12 months to think and plan what they would do to make their 50 year plan work.

Strategic Planning is the bailiwick of the Wealthy.

Trump is not a catalyst as you say.

He might be the private central bankers EXCUSE.  But a catalyst he his not.  Please look up the word.
