Believe In A Return To The Gold Standard? You Are Now Officially An Extremist According To The FBI

Tyler Durden's picture

Just when we thought the US could not sink any further in its usurpation of civil rights, here comes the FBI to advise all those who tend to think that the broken economic model of the past century is the cause for the global insolvency, that wanton fiat diluation and reckless debt issuance does not 'fix' the problem of uber-leverage, and that the gold standard is the proper way to return to monetary stability, will henceforth be considered extremists. From Reuters: "Anti-government extremists opposed to taxes and regulations pose a growing threat to local law enforcement officers in the United States, the FBI warned on Monday. These extremists, sometimes known as "sovereign citizens," believe they can live outside any type of government authority, FBI agents said at a news conference." And the most epic line ever written: "The extremists may refuse to pay taxes, defy government environmental regulations and believe the United States went bankrupt by going off the gold standard." So... the US did not go bankrupt by going off the gold standard? But why did the US "go bankrupt" then? We are confused.

Undesirable #1:

The insanity continues:

Routine encounters with police can turn violent "at the drop of a hat," said Stuart McArthur, deputy assistant director in the FBI's counterterrorism division.

"We thought it was important to increase the visibility of the threat with state and local law enforcement," he said.

In May 2010, two West Memphis, Arkansas, police officers were shot and killed in an argument that developed after they pulled over a "sovereign citizen" in traffic.

Last year, an extremist in Texas opened fire on a police officer during a traffic stop. The officer was not hit.

Legal convictions of such extremists, mostly for white-collar crimes such as fraud, have increased from 10 in 2009 to 18 each in 2010 and 2011, FBI agents said.

"We are being inundated right now with requests for training from state and local law enforcement on sovereign-related matters," said Casey Carty, an FBI supervisory special agent.

FBI agents said they do not have a tally of people who consider themselves "sovereign citizens."

...

Sovereign members often express particular outrage at tax collection, putting Internal Revenue Service employees at risk.

Maybe it is not too late to be a beggar in Greece. At least there one is allowed to think anything as to why the country is completely broke and the population is living under "absolute poverty" without fear of being deemed a "sovereign citizen" and getting arrested at the drop of a hat.

And for those who still care about facts, below is a chart of global debt since the world formally and terminally went off the gold standard back on August 15, 1971:

Yeah that nutcase they showed on the 60 minutes piece -- assassinating the cop that pulled him over -- was kind of a tip off.  Of course you don't have to be a "Sovereign Citizen" to know the US is going down the toilet from corruption.

I'm sure MS-13 shoots at more cops in a day than "sovereign citizens" shoot at in a year. But, yeah, let's learn how to identify and provoke middle-aged white guys concerned about the Constitution, than effectively target illegal immigrant criminal gangs.

Its almost like the FBI is stupid on purpose... but that would be a conspiracy, LOL!

Yeah, it's crazy that someone who wants to protect their wealth by purchasing metals, protect their possessions by buying guns, and supports the only guy that reads the Constitution, constitutes being put on a watch list. The fact we even have watch lists is fucking crazy in itself.

However, the middle-age couple that has $500k in debt and owns 6 iPads is somehow the normal one...

Wake up dude, the game was won in 1913.  The owners of The Federal Reserve (a private bank) won and have been letting that flow of interest grow and grow.  They are the kid who won the monopoly game but then wrote up some "new money" and let everyone else keep paying to go around the board while they could go anywhere and do anything.  Several generations of conditioning are going to be hard to reverse and very bloody.  At the end of the day the only way not to lose in a fixed game is to simply not play.

The problem is gov't credibility is already shot, thanks to bogus unemployment statistics, fake "growth" etc, and even the slow ones are getting wise. Making people who hold gold out to be terrorists is more likely to be seen as an endorsement today than as a scare to the sheep.

But really, this is more about putting padlocks on the exits than it is about catching those who left the building before the fire started.

I love my country but my government is dubitable, it's 1984 all over again!

Orwell warned of a world where books were banned. Huxley warned of a world where no one wanted to read books. Orwell warned of a state of permanent war and fear. Huxley warned of a culture diverted by mindless pleasure. Orwell warned of a state where every conversation and thought was monitored and dissent was brutally punished. Huxley warned of a state where a population, preoccupied by trivia and gossip, no longer cared about truth or information. Orwell saw us frightened into submission. Huxley saw us seduced into submission. But Huxley, we are discovering, was merely the prelude to Orwell. Huxley understood the process by which we would be complicit in our own enslavement. Orwell understood the enslavement. Now that the corporate coup is over, we stand naked and defenseless. We are beginning to understand, as Karl Marx knew, that unfettered and unregulated capitalism is a brutal and revolutionary force that exploits human beings and the natural world until exhaustion or collapse.

That is the danger of owning gold. When the time comes to use it, you won't be allowed to exchange it for anything and will probably get arrested and have the gold confiscated. Why would that be an either-or decision? If an establishment goes into desperate state, yet still has lots of minions at it's disposal, it would simply declare legal whatever it wants, no matter if it would incite more resistance or not..... desperation, bitchez.

Me? I wouldn't bet on PMs "rescueing me" in the middle of a critical crisis.... i would however bet on it - especially if someway safe out of the reach of them - for things that go from pre-crisis, to way after post-crisis. That doesn't neccessarily make me ressourceful when SHTF (then again, when SHTF, i'd put "halfway comfortable survival" above "richness"... and there are more direct ways to ensure that, than via a currency), instead, what it would secure, is longterm wealth stability, possibly even across generations.

So, until it actually happens, i do not "bet" on a PM-based currency.... not even blackmarket.... if it happens, fine, but what i'm concerned when it comes to PMs, is plain and simply longterm wealth stability, and perhaps doing my part to weaken those seeking a monopoly on "wealth-control".

You make me laugh!  Chinese citizenism, always denying its own existence even as it shits on the side of the road, destroys its own environment, greedily hoards its rare earth elements, wantonly kills Tibetan "vermin" and blobs up everything in sight.

Just look at how the crypto-fascist Chinese regime encourages its Chinese citizens to buy gold --- probably just to confiscate it all later.

Just look at how Chinese citizenism is blobbing up all the physical gold it can.

Chinese citizenism is all about conquering, exploiting, destroying and blobbing up.

Such is the eternal, perfidious nature of Chinese citizens as manifested in their ever-blobbing policy of Chinese citizenism.

And it has to translate into the creation of a totally fake concept namely Chinese citizenism; into calling for killing all Chinese as a reaction for a factual analysis?

Come on, US citizens should really work their propaganda.

Kicking the can is of US citizenism. US citizens do that naturally.

US citizens, be they elite or base, are unable to address the reality at hand.

None here is able to address the very fact that the US has grown richer thanks to the Ponzi, that today 'failure' is simply the expansion scheme stalling.

One US citizen, one of those globalist goldbugs, should take time to explain how a gold standard was able to provide more Indian land than there was during the nineteenth century, or how keeping the gold standard would haved added oil to the underground.

You confuse common sense with insidious Chinese citizenism.

It is common sense to hold something in reserve, for the rainy day.

Chinese citizenism is not common sense, it is all about raping, exploiting, destroying, shitting on the roadside while spitting and picking the nose, and blobbing up.

You will never understand the inherent evil nature of Chinese citizenism until you open your mind to blobbing up.

Blobbing up can be seen in the Chinese conquering. pillaging and destruction of Tibet.

Blobbing up can be seen in the poisoning of hundreds of square kilometers of Chinese landscape all to greedily and uneconomically produce and hoard rare earth elements from the rest of the world.

Blobbing up can be seen in the running dog crypto-fascist imperialist threats by the ruling cabal of the Red Chinese against the peace-loving inhabitants of the independent republic of Taiwan and the one true legitimate government of all of China.

Blobbing up can be seen in the Chinese perverse feasting on roast puppies, cobra meat, fried bear penises, badger spleens and wolf nipple chips.

Gorging on bear penises and wolf nipple chips is typical of Chinese enviro-vandalism and the destructive and eternal nature of Chinese citizenism.

US citizenism is spreading everywhere. Sooner or later, Chinese are turning into US citizens.

Destruction of environment can be seen everywhere as the result of US citizenism. Why only China? Why omit countries like Nigeria?

US citizens have triggered a race to deplete the world resources.

The challenge is to be the one consuming the fastest the largest share of world resources.

The world is global, and this is a US world order. Nobody is insulated from US citizenism on this planet.

Does that mean that one day they will stop shitting on the sides of the road, spitting in public, and lose the squinty eyes and stop breeding like rabbits?

US citizens have triggered a race to deplete the world resources.

If so, Chinese citizenism citizens are winning that race --- by a mile:

One new coal-fired power plant every week (the Eskimoes of Alaska thank you for sending all that mercury their way)

Hundreds of square miles of Middle Kingdom land ruined and poisoned all to extract rare earth elements and gold, all so that the Chinese Crypto-Fascist Party can greedily hoard them and blob up

Chinese pouring over Africa to set up resource-extracting colonies, er, "bilateral arrangements"

Dust storms ravaging eastern China due to widespread and growing environmental degradation

Ongoing feasting on roasted puppies, shark fins, bear penises and wolf nipple chips

Nobody is insulated from the wild damage and gross hypocrisy of Chinese citizenism citizens, nor from their turds on the sides of the road.

Did you pick your nose in public and shit on the side of the road today, like a good Chinese citizenism citizen?

Have you killed a Tibetan sub-human (after "liberating" him, LOL!) and resettled on his former land in the name of Mousy Tongue and Chinese blobbing-up?

Have you despoiled your daily acre of land all to extract rare earth elements for the Chinese Crypto-Fascist Party to hoard like greedy blobbers?

Have you threatened the peace-loving people of the independent Republic of Taiwan with invasion and death, as your fellow Chinese citizenism citizens have done for the last 63 years?

Have you  killed and eaten a puppy, or a shark for its fins, or gorged on bear penises and badger spleens or some other rare or endangered animal parts from a nightmare-of-death Cantonese market?

Until you have done all of these things, you are not a good Chinese citizenism citizen, and are a disgrace to your eternal nature as a Chinese citizenism citizen.

Nice article.

Chinese fascism? No, simply US citizenism spreading in China.
This part:

-------------------------------------------------------

My students unflinchingly express a condescending affection for Africans, with statements such as, "I like black people, because, since they are closer to animals, they are really good at sports."
-------------------------------------------------------

is trademark of US citizenism.

Without the context localizing that statement in a Chinese classroom, the default option is a place fielding US citizens. This is some your typical US citizen speech.

All these ideas, all these pattern of thinking are the mark of US citizenism.

US citizenism is spreading around the world and the Chinese are not immune to it. They are adopting US citizenism.

The article should not be called Chinese fascism but spread of US citizenism into China.

I repeat, there is nothing forbidding the spread of US citizenism into China. Chinese can become US citizens, they can adopt the set of beliefs known as US citizenism.

Of course,US citizens of historical extract will try to depict this movement and adoption as something different as they can not accept Chinese becoming US citizens.

But once again, anyone not interested in can kicking (excluding de facto US citizens) see it for what it is: US citizenism spreading and conquering the world.

Chinese citizenism and resource blobbing-up is spreading around the world and the non-Chinese are not immune to it. They are adopting Chinese citizenism, and freely spitting and picking their noses in public.

The article should not be called Chinese fascism but spread of Chinese citizenism outside of (environmentall devasted and poisoned) China.

I repeat, there is nothing forbidding the spread of Chinese citizenism outside of China. Non-Chinese can become Chinese citizens (aside from the squinty eyes and tiny penises and all looking the same), they can adopt the set of beliefs known as Chinese citizenism, along with blobbing-up, and frequently feasting on bear penises, shark fins and wolf nipple chips.

Of course, Chinese citizens of historical extract will try to depict this movement and adoption as something different as they can not accept non- Chinese becoming roadside-shitting, running dog imperialist Chinese citizens, just as they deny their own virulent Chinese citizenism themselves.

But once again, anyone not interested in can kicking (excluding de facto Chinese citizens) see it for what it is: Chinese citizenism spreading, conquering the world and blobbing up.

It is the inherent and duplicitous nature of Chinese citizens to lack understanding that is not framed within the context and confines of Chinese citizenism.

This is part of their insidious psychological and intellectual blobbing up.

To deny Chinese citizenism is to deny reality.  This does not stop the Chinese citizen from trying, however, just as it will never stop them from threatening the peace-loving and independent republic of Taiwan (and the one true legitimate government of all China) with their running dog crypto-fascist imperialism.

Just as it does not stop Chinese citizenism from despoiling and ruining their own land in the greedy and short-sighted mania to extract every ounce of useful minerals from Chinese citizenism realm.

Just as it did not stop them from invading and exploiting Tibet, which is now fully blobbed up.

Just as it does not stop them from sitting on top of mountains of garbage while feasting on roast puppies, rare shark fins, bear penises and wolf nipple chips.

Such is the eternal nature of the Chinese citizenism citizen.

Confiscation is not coming.  The politicians will simply make it illegal to buy and sell or use as tender.  Much easier solution.  Too much gold and silver is in the hands of people around the world.  Most that have physical PM's already know better then to allow confiscation this time.

Hide it well this time!!

That will not work.

There is a sub-economy taking shape world wide, call it a black market if you wish. Use of gold and silver does away with the need to "balance" currencies in trade. The black market will always exist, gold and silver will always be used for money.

Be it, MF Global PM confiscation, Fed's making it a crime to hoard PM's. Time will tell, but we deleveraged out of 75% of our PM's and enjoying it with my family right now, it saved Christmas in my house.

If only the FBI would treat the real criminals in this country like they do the real americans. Unfortunately everyone is so dumbed down at this point that they probably think believing in something like the gold standard is "extreme". The fact is that we have been living under an international monetary order with no precedent in history, and the amount of debt developed countries have accumulated as a result is "extreme". But don't worry once we get rid of all the gold bugs then we can go to an international reserve currency and slowly dump the dollar. The austerity america will undergo as a result of this transition will result in more "extremism" than the gold standard ever did.
