Chart Of The Day: Smith & Wesson Sales
The attached chart of Smith & Wesson revenues needs no comment.
Well one comment: when the final bubble does pop (and here we make the wild assumption that no intelligent extraterrestrial life will be found to bail out the central banks in time), at least everyone will be locked and loaded.
And some highlights from the just released investor presentation:
- Record-level quarterly sales growth from continuing ops of $136.0M, +48.3% Y/Y
- Record-level quarterly income from continuing ops of $18.9M, or $0.28 per diluted share
- Record Adjusted Non-GAAP EBITDAS of $36.1 Million
- Raised Full Year Fiscal 2013 Financial Guidance
- Exceeded high end of upwardly revised sales guidance
- Quarterly unit growth +30.1% vs. market growth +23.5% (Adjusted NICS)
- Backlog of $392.4M versus $148.8 one year ago

Disappointing that theres been no substantive venue to vent about todays market rally, tonites DNC speech, or the leaked reports suggesting tomorrows jobs report will be good.
Probably because that shit has no substantive value.

Not Wesson Oil, Smith and Wesson guns and ammo. BTW, good to know I do not buy any of those products listed.
Don't shoot the messenger, but Katrina post-observation indicates that 99% of the populace will back down in an armed conflict with law enforcement agencies and will willingly turn in their weapons. Just stating the obvious. If you saw something different, let us know? Hence, the second amendment is already dead and gone.
Of course, nothing has changed since Katrina and since it happened in a vacuum, it is safe to assume that in the same set of circumstances, people will react the same.
I added a few hundred dollars to this chart back in 2003; however, I sold that piece off a couple of years back. I did buy a used S&W Model 28-2 though, but that was built under a long gone S&W than the existing one. A very solid piece. I don't think I can buy another S&W revolver until they remove that internal locking mechanism they use. I just won't. I've also given money to Glock, Kimber, Ruger, Springfield Armory, and various importers like KBI and Inter-ordnance for communist era import rifles. Not the most accurate guns, but damn rugged, easy to maintain, and reliable.
S&W quality has gone downhill the last few years... their 1911's are still good, but overpriced... their old wheel guns are great, newer, not so much... I recommend Sig... or for budget... Springfield or CZ. Better arm up... this will end badly.
LONG SMITH & WESSON BITCHEZ hehehehe
