Guest Post: God Don't Save The Queen
Submitted by James E. Miller of the Ludwig von Mises Institute Of Canada,
“Crowds Cheer Queen On Last Day of Jubilee”
So ran the headline from Time. Yesterday marked the end of the “Diamond Jubilee” of Queen Elizabeth II of the British monarchy. The four day celebration was is honor of her ascendancy to the throne sixty years ago. On the closing day, crowds of well-wishers gathered to cheer on her majesty by chanting “God Save the Queen!” as she addressed the nation. While the Queen holds little political power today, she and the royal family remain incredibly popular. Throughout the festivities, an estimated 1.5 million people paid their respects to the royal dynasty.
Is there something wrong with this picture?
Monarchies are supposed to be antithetical to freedom. Under feudalistic monarchism, the notion of personal liberty took a backseat to loyalty to the king. Those who weren’t part of or close to the nobility were referred to as subjects. These peasants were to serve without question. Their happiness was supposed to be derived directly from the happiness of their rulers. The class system was rigid as the ruling coalition, that is the king, royal family, nobles, and feudal lords, eagerly held onto power to secure their systematic exploitation.
So why is the Queen of England still so highly regarded today? Does her position not represent a time in the past where men and women were explicitly in the forced servitude of others?
Under close observation, it turns out that monarchs and their close associates were no more despotic than current government structures which are frequently referred to as democratic. The state, being that “its primary intention is to enable the economic exploitation of one class by another” as Albert Jay Nock defined it, is no different than monarchical rule. The goal of the ruling elite within both monarchy and the democratic nation-state has always been to instill a widespread sense of collective reverence to those in charge.
Starting from the very first years of compulsory public education, also known as child imprisonment, the state is romanticized as a positive force in everyday life. History is taught by emphasizing specific periods of governance. Those heads of government who centralized power and enlarged the state apparatus are regarded as brilliant and courageous leaders. The few who did little in terms of taxing more, waging bloody war, or extending Leviathan’s thieving grasp over the public are neglected and subtly referenced as inadequate. Brutal atrocities carried out by those glorified heads of state are overlooked for the sake of extolling their wondrous achievements of broadening the scope of domination on private life by the ruling class. Under their leadership, murder is labeled necessary, theft becomes “giving to the greater good,” and conscription is called doing one’s “duty.”
The end goal of such a twisted version of history is to indoctrinate the masses into subservience to the mother state. As long as Joe Public remains infatuated with his respective nation-state, he is much more of a ripe target for legalized pick pocketing.
Yet these brainwashing tactics hardly differed from those employed during the time of kings. As famed American founding father Thomas Paine commented on the nature of kingship:
We should find the first of them [kings] nothing better than the principal ruffian of some restless gang; whose savage manners or pre-eminence in subtilty obtained him the title of chief among plunderers; and who by increasing in power and extending his depredations, overawed the quiet and defenseless
During the service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on the last day of the Jubilee celebration, Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, praised Queen Elizabeth for serving as “living proof that public service is possible and that it is a place where happiness can be found.” He continued his collectivist preaching by stressing the Queen’s six decade ruling streak should serve as a monument to “the rebirth of an generous spirit of dedication to the common good and the public service, the rebirth of a recognition that we live less than human lives if we think just of our own individual good.”
Just as flag waving and the national anthem are purposefully used as rituals to state power, the rhetoric of collectivism is a tool to condition unquestioned subordination.
They are all just rallying calls for citizens to bow down and pay tribute.
But of course the idea of a “common good” is a complete fabrication. Only individuals determine what their subjective preferences are. This is the reality kings, dictators, presidents, prime ministers, and politicians never want spreading. It would undermine their ability to keep the flow of societal resources draining into their iron fist. They can’t let the truth get out; that the state and monarchy have been governing structures of predation since time immemorial.
Given the authoritarianism monarchy used to represent, celebrating the continued rule of the Queen of England should be regarded as absurd. But millions are still fooled into believing they are spiritually connected to those who reside within the same arbitrarily constructed nation-state boundaries as themselves. They remain prepared to make the sacrifice of life and property to those who would never do the same.
Meanwhile, actual dissenters to the idea of total obedience to those of the political class often find themselves demonized in public, locked in cages, physically assaulted, or, at worst, killed. One such outspoken critic of state imposed slavery was Michael Gaines who had the audacity of challenging his thirteen year prison sentence for allegedly spitting on prison guards back in 2008. Gaines, who is HIV positive, was accused of instilling the fear of death in the guards despite the fact that HIV can’t be spread through saliva. As District Judge Rebecca Pilshaw readied a long prison sentence for “battery of a law enforcement officer” based on the victim’s accusations alone, Gaines challenged the idea that one person is owed the respect and loyalty of another because they are enforcers of government. When Pilshaw asserted “you’re not respecting my authority,” Gaines shot back with “You’re not respecting me…respect goes both ways. You’re just a woman with a robe on – just a woman, a human being just like I am.” Pilshaw, who was given a total of three reprimands for ethical violations during her tenure as judge and later lost her place at the bench, was shocked at the blatant disrespect someone had for her state-sanctioned authority. Gaines received a long prison sentence for not acknowledging the sanctity of the police state.
Instead of blindly chanting “God Saved the Queen,” those who regard liberty as precious should chant “God Save Michael Gaines.”
To the end, Judge Pilshaw was convinced that her supremacy as a government official should be observed by all. It is the same vein of thinking of all who hold public office, including kings of the past.
Today, the only difference between the systematic malfeasance and plunder that existed under the rule of monarchs and that which defines the state is the ballot box. Voters in a sense get to choose a small portion of their rulers. This gives them the mirage of freedom when the nation-state they inhabit is no less than a contemporary field of serfdom lorded over by kings. Too much of the public still behaves with the mindset of servants. They are pathetically docile to those who hold the keys of their shackles. What the celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s sixty year rule showed is that the people of Great Britain never really escaped from monarchy.

If i may just make a small point.. A large number of the Scots, Welsh and Irish do not give a flying fuck about the Royal family and what it is stands for..They are a bunch of parasites on the ever dwindling resourses of the UK.. The usuual counter argument is that they are good for tourism.. What a load of complete and utter BOLLOCKS..
lighten the fuck up dude. we all know it's kitsch, even the subjects who just wanted a damn four day holiday to visit England-land of their christmases and summers past. Jesus. You are one sad fuck.. jesus.
It's funny to read Americans bitching over the Queen while at the same time claiming some kind of genetic superiority.
American superiority; a people slowed by endless brainless movies, slurping sugary drinks and scoffing saturated fat burgers as they sit on their ample backsides voting for plastic billionaires who churn millions into commercials that would insult the intelligence of the rest of the world.
Sod Off ya blighter. Yer just sad you USED to be a superpower, now you limeys works for Dubai and Arabia - poofters. BTW - I have a good dentist to fix your nasty grill!
Ah, the US citizen middle class syndrom: getting the best of two worlds while shifting the worst on a third party.
So US citizen public education is bashed for delivering fake reports on history but as the time, US citizen public education tale about Paine being a famed (sic) founding father is repeated. Nice.
US citizens driven to approach themselves as being not less despotic than the king. What a success.
Measuring themselves to others through despotism angle. Truth, justice, liberty. The result is here when handed down to US citizens.
I would rather have our Queen as Head of State than pretty much any of the elected Presidents around the World of the last 25 years. A monarchy is not perfect but a lot better than the alternative.
Well said MiniCooper. Whenever our republicans start braying to ditch the monachy we just look at what the alternative would look like and vote to keep it. You can't get a much better head of state than a Queen who's 18,000 km away and minds her own business.

Really? In US citizen societies? If so, if individuals determine what their subjective preferences are, lets explain the success of marketing in a US citizen society.
Well, they get the illusion of choice. I mean, you see ads from Coke and from Pepsi, but you have to chose one or the other.
more insensible gibberish from the committee of wannabe capitalist roaders.

Indeed. Cant wait for the new meme to come up.
I'm in the U.S.A. but like the Royals in Britain; they are much more of a sideshow and celebrities versus oppressive monarchs when compared to the Parliament and the entrenched government system, the judges, the cameras (the Cromwell element).
People moan about how many billions the Royal Family costs but if they weren't there and the castles were empty Britain would lose billions more in lost tourism revenue.
Come now, how many millions (billions?) were spent by those attending the jubilee celebrations? No doubt the flag and t-shirt makers did handily, along with beverage and food sellers.
I'm not supporting the restoration of monarchies, just the "romance". Many of the socialist/communist dictatorships have done as bad or worse than some monarchies.
The U.S.A. has devolved into a monarchy of corporate and government royals (Lord Dimon, Viceroy Blankfein, and the Sherrifs of Nottingham in Congress).
Sadly the flags were all made in China.
King, queen, god, country. They are all the sign of inmaturity and longing for 'mother'.
There's something special about the British monarchy. At the root lies the little known fact that this throne represents the everlasting throne of David, promised to David by God.
Each successive monarch must be crowned upon the Coronation Stone, as each has since the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar who killed Zedekiah's sons before taking his eyes and carrying him to Babylon but failed to notice that the daughters had escaped. One of these daughters, brought to Ireland by none other than Jeremiah, is known in Irish lore as Tea Tephi who married Echodiah, a descendant of Zerah, son of Judah and bearer of the Scarlet Thread.
The coronation stone, brought by Jeremiah, was the pillar of stone used in all Jerusalem coronations up to and including Zedekiah's and whose authority rested on the words of Jacob who had named it Bethel which means "House of God". Did you think Jacob left it behind?
The coronation stone, Jacob's Pillar, had most recently resided in Westminster Abbey for 700 years but was returned to Scottish soil in 1996. It will, of course, be transported back to Westminster for each subsequent coronation until The Lord returns to occupy that throne forever.

"you talkin' to me? ..... you talking to me?!"
A well written article, even if it only stated the obvious. The Brits have an atavistic need to respect and kneel before this extended family, covered in absurd ribbons of rank, decorations, orders of nobility, medals of valour, etc.....which they themselves give one another. I am not sure how one is supposed to take it seriously, but they manage to, effortlessly.
It is tiresome to have to keep pointing it out but it's not atavism that makes many of us respect our Queen. It is recognition of her valuable role, which works for us. It really does. It works better than a presidential system would. I can understand why the Yanks can't see that it works but it does. Why would we not want to celebrate 60 years of something that has worked very well, and have a good party at the same time?
How has that "valuable role" worked then in the last 60 years? We lost our status as a world power. We threw away our empire. We betrayed English colonists. We ensured the slow death of the English race. We 'Americanised' our traditional culture. We stripped ourselves of our freedoms of conscience. And now we have given away our sovereignty to Brussels. That is the tip of the iceberg. If you can't see that the nations of the British Isles have entered a decline from which there will soon be no turning back, and not without social upheavals of the type and scale of the Reconquista of Spain, then I can only say that you have no perspective on history. This monarch is the worst in the history of my people.
We 'Americanised' our traditional culture.

How funny.
Their only purpose now is as tit n bum paper filler, tourist attractions and preventing the current crop of sleazy politicos from moving into the nice mansions (or selling them off).
The Queen is the figurehead for monetarism. She continues what she inherited as the standing monetarist ruler dedicated to the continuance of the oligarchy as a de facto 4th Roman Empire and its control over the people and aspirations to extend that to world dominance. Just about everything bad in this world during her reign has come about as an extension of the policies she pushed directly or allowed her subjects to push.
Monetarism is the ideology of the oligarchy used to control us. Doesn't matter what flavor of monetarism is used, as any type allows control to be maintained. Austrian, Keynesian, other 'schools'. All inherently bounded to the continuance of the oligarchical principle. Their goal is to usher in a post-Westphalia era and do away with the nation-state. It was America's nation state that gave 'unalienable rights'. Without a nation-state and our constitution with the principles so clearly stated, we are all but an Army of One, aka complete bullshit. Individuals can't compete against a corporation, only a nation-state can keep them at bay (if they so choose because the people choose wisely).
Let's see some examples. The push to repeal Glass-Steagall and it's similar laws around the world which allowed among other frauds - derivatives, Euro, Global Warming/Cooling charade, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, BAE Al-Yamamah slush fund for covert actions like Al-Qeada and something in Sept 2001, the desire to depopulate the planet to 500 million people, John F. Kennedy's assassination (spanish hit team through mexico...the de gaulle hit team) AND Robert's assassination, the list is almost endless in all the overall corruptions , and even the drug trade especially opium.
It was Britain's 'sexed up dossier' that gave Bush the final ammunition to launch (his oligarchical ideological derived operation) the Iraq war.
Obama is a venerable stooge of Britain, and has basically run his presidency as a loyal subject to the crown. Tony Blair is constantly giving 'advice' to Obama. We are colonized once again, along with the Euro, her commonwealth, and anywhere that utilizes monetarism, so just about everyone to varying degrees. Isn't it funny that most of those that do not utilize monetarism are either under the gun, or desired to be. We pretend to be world leader, yet take our direction from the Queen and her men. Don't you know, we have a 'special relationship'. Hell she also vetted Gorbachov before he became the Premier of the Soviet Union. The Queen has no power like Bernanke can't create digital 0's and 1's.
But hey, maybe it's not the best way to describe it, so instead here are some nice articles that define the difference between America and Britain (exemplified by the Queen) as well as some that showcase a few of her and her minions meddling.
Just remember, LaRouche is one of those people that saw this crisis coming, and all the 'crises' since the 50's, and has never been wrong in his calls that a crisis was coming. He's not a guy who was wrong, but a guy who has been right. Here are some articles and I threw a few quotes in as teasers. So what is the Queen and her monarchy all about and contrasted versus the America system? Ask and ye shall receive. Read the articles or just the quotes, but just realize only reading this and much more (over an appropriate time frame) will allow you to really understand Physical Science and Physical Economy vs what bullshit we run. I love ZH and obviously you'll find a lot in tandem with ZH in these, along with some differences. But remember, these guys weren't fooled like the permabears or Jim Cramer, and still aren't now.

There is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much more. Consider this just a snowball of ice from the tip of an iceberg. Just pulled from a few articles from the past few years. Read "Dope, Inc.", "How the British Crown created Green Fascism". Then also watch all our latest wars being pushed like Syria.
You can be against the Monarchy and against Monetarism including Keynesian and don't have to be Austrian or Corporatist. But first you have to understand what the nation-state is, and what it can do, when run correctly. But we've been dumbed down, duped, and that is NOT natural. The effort to destroy the nation-state is almost complete. The Constitution is NOT just a piece of paper, unless you degrade it so it has no meaning to you, and run gov't like it is that way, or ditch it all together. Otherwise it MEANS something, and it stands for something.
The British way is to fuck everyone elses gov't up by pulling the strings and use THAT as a reason why THEIR way is superior, and yours is inferior. In other words, they rig the game and use the results to win the argument. It's bs. Any American knows that. Good tactics for a party (sort of), horrible outside of it.
You only get the gov't you elect, and that can be good or bad. But only through such a setup, do you have any chance to live in a world that isn't BULLSHIT. But that doesn't mean you will. Just a chance. Don't let them take away that chance. Our constitution is the best document ever written on this planet. Everything else is toilet paper compared to it, which incidentally enough, is what the puppet masters have almost convinced us that it is while somehow still paying homage to it. But they won't close the deal because the whole premise for it to work is that nobody figures it out. Hard to do as things keep getting worse and become more easily identifiable. Monarchy and Ostriches oh my.
Glass-Steagall
I do agree with you that America, through our leaders, has never really been cut loose from the ties of the British Empire. And I think LaRouche, a very great intellect, makes many great points that most don't understand. That being said, I think the whole matter of the world's woes is made a bit simplistic by LaRouche. It really is much deeper than the Queen and the British monarchy. I have never heard him mention the permeating influence of Freemasonry, which is a common thread through the world's collection of rulers and politicians, or for America in particular, the delitirious effects of Zionism.
Of course, the British oligarchs and the Venetian monetarists are deeply conjoined. Who were/are the Venetian monetarists? I think we both know. In order to understand the situation fully, we must look at ALL bloodline rulers and globalist entities, and discover how they are connected and work with one another to attempt their sinister endgame agenda.
Good points by LaRouche and more by puppy. Add Luciferianism in there, and we have a winner.
It looks like most ZHers are just as brainwashed as the British public. Countries need a head of state for two reasons - ceremonial affairs and political affairs. Most countries very sensibly have two separate people doing these roles (ie Monarch and Prime Minister) but the USA vests all these functions, and power, in one person - the President. This individual is one of two candidates (pre-selected by the plutarchy) that the myopic masses get to "vote" for. And you think is democracy?
The American focus on their supreme leader is no different from Russia, North Korea or China. Fucking muppets.
Just goes to show you are ass clueless about what a REAL American is and thinks. Real Americans kicked your British, boot licking, groveling ass out of this country and REAL Americans don't want it back over here. Take you monarchy and your ceremonial, political affairs and "rulers" and stick them up you limey arse.
It's always a case of the enemy of my enemy being my friend, but
I'll keep a bat behind my back, just in case.
It's not really clear cut, but eveybody has to weigh up their beliefs,
morals and biases and decide whether to seek knowledge from
Mises or Moses.
Peter Schiff is a more palatable version of LIbertarianism. He finds
faults in the system because of his system of thinking, and that's good. But, do you really
want to have him or Ron Paul INSISTING that "if you're poor, that's your lot, you die, if you're sick"?
That's law of the jungle. But, in return, Libs wants rich people to acrue wealth, and he wants
the law to protect those rich people from being robbed, when the robber is often just trying to survive.
Libertarians say robbing is IMMORAL, whereas letting your fellow man die, when you can save him, is NOT immoral. riiiiight.
Look at any research. That US system of instilling fear in workers worked for a while, but now the
social democratic countries get better productivity, and 4 or 5 weeks of vacation.
Imagine not having to worry about getting sick when you just lost your job.
So, any system has to give a fair shake to the grunting, suffering worker.
That's why I hate it when Denninger and Mish sh*t on workers and unions.
I don't want to hear that "unions are lazy and corrupt". Without some kind of defensive body, you can see
that workers are totally at the mercy of the jungle. I hope you like dirt farming.
Because after every manufacturing job is exported, that's what you'll be doing, serfer dude.
I suppose the diatribe about the queen was the opening gambit to get "republicans"
to read, wide-eyed, the Mises junk. "Uuuhh, he must be telling the truth, cuz he hates queens"
I think Libertarian rule will be quite similar to royal rule, in the Dark Ages.
Libertarians say robbing is IMMORAL,

They say much more than robbing from them is immoral, especially when they are US citizens living in the US of A.
They do not care about robbing the other blind.
And they want more than anything else that what they've robbed to be considered their eternal belonging.
Kind of like Chinese ruling class citizenisms who after plundering Chinese citizenisms or getting rich selling Chinese citizenisms lead paint toys, melanin milk, dead baby pills, etc rush to Canada, Australia, etc with their money so that higher ranking Chinese citizenisms can't shoot them and take it for themselves.
Why doesn't Cameron have a quiet word with the Queen about declaring a debt Jubilee to celebrate her own Jubilee?
Just wipe out all the debt interest by law. Who would suffer:- the powers that are not going to get their capital and interest back anyway when the system collapses. The Queen could just declare a big reset of the financial system. Obama could do the same (or could he?)
I wouldn't let the woman through my front door.
WTF! I'm supposed to want people to spit on me? People with HIV?
Queen is good for tourism, newspaper sales and exports. It's a business. No real power.
There will always be a large portion of the population that will grovel over some other human being and want them to make their decisions for them. No matter the title or how they got their position, weak minded, candy-assed, collective, socialistic, commie wimps will want some other dumb-ass to tell them what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. Simple because they don't have the character to stand on their own two feet and get it done themselves. They want their "daddy" to come make everyone else let them play or, even better, win.
We see it today with the federal government. The public school system has churned out generation after generation that has been brainwashed into believing that we just can't make it unless the gov tells us how to do it. Because their soooooo smart and we're sooooooo stupid and insignificant. If DC sunk tonight into the swamp it was built on, my day to day life wouldn't change one bit. DC has taken my money for years and I haven't gotten jack shit for it. All they have become is a giant parasite on the backs of the citizenry. And it will only get worse because "individuals" like myself are getting fewer and fewer all the time thanks to the school system and the fact that the commie wimps are breeding like rabbits then getting all that "free" life support from their Commie-n-chief.
This guy was completely right. "Queen of England", what a joke! Might as well be queen of Disney Land.
I can't believe people on here are defending the queen. Putting aside the questions about the Mises Institute and libertarian philosophy (though the questions are good ones, thanks LTER), how can anyone defend a monarchy? Really?
Let the satanic queen suck on some punk rock today.

I like the Queen.
She looks good on my Maples.
I'm a bit disappointed that the family connection wasn't enough to get me invited to the wedding though. We Colonials really are treated as a second class by the Monarchy.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the Parade of Silly Hats on TV.
Monarchies are supposed to be antithetical to people freedom?
Reallly? For what a reason?
Not historically at least, because antimonarchic sentiment has been widely shared only in three specific periods of western history: middle classic age, the beginning of roman repubblic and the XVIII-XX century, since the Enlightment. To the late period are referred the French and the American revolutions, which still innervate the modern world of today.
Even the ideas of a “common good” as a complete fabrication, of ''rituals to state power'' as a tool to keep masses subservent, are of course something that smells so much of english empirism, Hobbes and Locke, which represents much of the zero-degree (meanging origin) of the American culture.
At the very end, all the thought expressed in this piece talks about an ideology that flourished in XVIII century, and that never moved anymore from that century. But, beware baby!, it's going to become an original sin in today world.
It is an original sin because it supposes a still virgin world to be settled with people and ideas, who are plenty of energy and ability to do it without any obstacle than the Ruler State. As it was maybe half true in 1500s, but it is largely false today!
It's the very typical mind fo the european bourgeoisie since Renaissance, when they realised that the world was in such a bad mess that nothing and nobody would have stopped or limited their gain of prosperity.
It is a sense of safeness and self-sufficiency that historically pushed the merchantilism and even the economic theory until today, from the big private colonisation companies of European Renaissance (Company of India, West Indias, Viriginia Company etc...) up to the multinational firms elite of today.
But it is false. The great power of european peoples, that allowed them to colonize three continents without any real opposition, and whose espression are today the USA, may it be liked or not, was directly fathered by technologic ability and collective behaviours that had been developed in five centuries confrontation inside european medioeval states, which were ruled by monarchies.
It was the Monarchs, even those tempered by constitutional laws as the Magna Charta, that provided for many centuries those services that allowed the European bourgeoisie to flourish, as the internal peacetime instead of continous wartime, necessary to agricolture and industry, the road safekeeping instead of bandits at any corner, so necessary to any commercial development, the industrial and financial freedom to the cities, that were protected by the Crown against the Land aristocracy.
It was the Kings and Emperors that made safe the circulation of gold money against robberies, that marked the general setting of rules that allowed commerce and exchange of ideas and discoveries. And it was the Monarchical state that in the very end allowed the private enterprise to exist since the times of the Roman Empire, that invested in deep building, military, and technological hardware, as well the justice and legal pattern software, that pushed the European progress to primacy in the world!
In those times the Monarchies weren't su much against the freedom of its citizens....
But, as it is typical of the son who rejects its father, the European Borgeoisie, keeping all what had gained in power from Monarchical State, began to express a culture of self-sufficience that denied the Monarchical State in all those territories outside of Europe where they were able to impose their will without the State....
The British reverence to Monarchy may be the last reminiscence of the symbiotic relation between State and People, Monarchy and Bourgeoisie, Central and Local Power, that existed for most of History.
It may be true that Democracies don't rule in a significantly different way than many Monarchies, and that Elites tend to have the same goals, but it's not a fate or a casualty, nor the mere expression of same geopolitical needs, but mostrly it's just because the Democracies, as they came from monarchic states, had no time to invent anything different than the monarchic pattern they came from. Because revolutions have sudden times that don't leave so much spare time to really rethink everyting....
But we have a real big, very big problem, in a bourgeoisie ideology that defines itself as self-sufficient enough to refuse a State whose main goal is defined be ''to indoctrinate the masses into subservience to the mother state''. The big problem is that this tale may have worked in the last five centuries, when the rest of the world was such in a bad mess, not to be able to limit the western trumphant culture spreading through the world.
But it isn't true more and more anymore, because thanks to the same western triumphant culture the rest of the world has filled much of the gap with the West, and surprise!, they keep the State, often in the shape of autoritarian and imperial state as expressed by China, Russia, much of the Islam world and other fellows.
It will come I presume the day the gap will be finally filled, because the West is rapidly ageing and lacks any real generational change, and the western bourgeoisie, expressed by multinational firms and elites, will find itself isolated and without a strong state at their backs, let alone to fight against an unfamiliar idea of state expressed by the new world powers. It could be a fall and decline of the West, for implosion of a selfsufficient culture that too late will understand its limits.
So, let the Brits enjoy their Monarchs, it may give them the very little beginning of an outer point of view to look at the mess of our world, when everything will be over.
I've never seen LTER so very peeved, it's utterly delicious. I'm sending $5 to the Mises Institute of Canada!
