Joint federal military training exercises will take place within and around the Boston area between July 26th and August 5th. Military personnel will conduct training exercises to ensure the military’s ability to operate in urban environments, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments, and meet mandatory training certification requirements. Helicopters will be used in some exercises.
The Boston Police Department is working with military personnel to coordinate training sites that will minimize negative impacts on our Boston citizens and their daily routines. Safety precautions have been taken to prevent risk to the general public and the military personnel involved. With that, training site locations are not open to the public and will be guarded by uniformed personnel to provide additional safety.

All of you need to google VIPR and see what's coming. VIPR is basically a group of DHS swat teams set up in strategic areas around the country for roadblocks, crowd control, etc. No different from Nazi Germany. Will we need papers to go from state to state? You decide.

Military has been conducting training sessions like this since 9/11. My husband is retired military. It allows the active duty, reserve and guard to work together in an emergency.

If anything, the command HQ might be set up there, or near there. Lots of nuke-safe bunkers in those buildings and underground tunneling in that vicinity, under and between buildings. Ever been inside the tunnel from the Yard to the Quad?
I for one am very glad to be out of the area at the moment, though in retrospect should have brought a lot more metal with me... In case anyone's interested, TSA did ask about the rolls of coins, but did not bother to actually look at them once I confirmed that they were indeed rolls of coins. Here's to hoping this lack of oversight lasts a while longer.
The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed on June 18, 1878, after the end of Reconstruction, with the intention (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) of substantially limiting the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement. The Act prohibits members of the Army from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain "law and order" on non-federal property (states and their counties and municipal divisions) within the United States.
The statute prohibits Army and Air Force personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Navy and Marine Corps are prohibited by a Department of Defense directive, not by the Act itself.[1][2] The Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security, is exempt from the Act.

There are no coincidences. Just like they just happen to have emergency responders on a training exercise on 9/11. Maybe this has something to do with what CPL was cryptically musing about last week.

I will buy that...and how better to train those who are expected to carry the banner of continuity of gubmint and take out all resistors then to create these urban centers and conduct exercises in real cities (Miami, Boston, San Diego, etc.). But think about this HH: Maybe the gubmint isn't stupid maybe people who really run things saw what was coming (the disentigration of a nation through CHAOS that comes with monetary destruction) a long time ago and they said we got an idea to get these guys ready to do our bidding let's start a war in Iraq where we know there will be house to house combat and insurgency on a scale that rivals that of Vietnam. Let's get 'our boys' prepped and desensitized by fighting this war so when they go back home doing the same thing there will not be such a stretch in going door to door and killing civilians. In the meantime we can weed out the weak who do not have the stomach for such a campaign through attrition (PTSD, other mental issues,, injury, etc), so when we finally drop the hammer at home we will be able to have battle tested completely loyal forces to do the work. Unfortunately for them a good deal of us who may be counted as 'attrition' above as well as those of us 'who didn't have the stomach' for that crap are among the populace who form 'the resistance'.
"Constitution" = Presidential Executive Orders (plenty of them)

The first requirement is to gain time to assess the threat and determine a proper response. Someone could have called an innocent fire resque team. You could order commercial steel doors that open outward and build up the door framing so it can't easily be breached.
One way, if you are handy, and your doorwall is short, is to double frame the outside wall (2x thick), basically build a second wall inside the first one, (this involves rewiring switches and outlets and extending your window trim if you want it neat). Oversize the outside opening door 2" (more will limit your choice in deadbolts) so inside doorway normal size supports both sides when battered, then six inside only deadbolts (two per side one up down) in addition to the outside keyed one that shows so it can't be pried. Do the work yourself and don't talk about it.
They will get in assuming you do not irespond with force. Maybe they get a concrete saw or a torch, maybe they give up on the door and try a window, or if those have bars, use a rescue chain saw on a wall.
A less intricate way to buy time is to install a steel storm door with keyed deadbolt. Or (better) an iron grillework door with deadbolt. They will likely cut or torch the hinges.
One can also buy time by expanding the perimeter, with battery powered alarms, fences, gates, dogs, geese etc if space and local rules permit. Even if you don't think you rate Big Brother icoming for you, if the locals can't afford to pay the police, you might need some of these options soon anyway.

I saw an interview with a guy who was running an exercise drill that had bombs going off in the same exact places at the same times as what really happened. That one was the stinker. Well, seems to me that DETROIT would be a more interesting place to "practice". Can you imagine the result? If of interest, check out articles on various uprisings there (Muslim aggressions, etc.). Would seem to be a good spot to stage a "false flag" or even a real event.

They not only have to condition the public to any coming police state, they also have to condition the troops and local authorities to occupation conditions. They also appear to be just as keen on establishing precedents for military authority over all local authority in the a chain of command. This is a huge power grab away from the local governments and enforcement institutions.
They can identify any enforcement weak links and opposition, and set precedent for who's really in charge. Curiously, the NSA lawyer to congress (Drudge just now) in public questioning would not deny that the NSA/CIA is currently tracking millions of US citizens through their cell phones.
The TSA is going interstate and expanding their authority. They just conducted a co-ordinated multi-state operation recently, covering OH-KY-WV, and it's interesting that they also included heavy local enforcement and their equipment, such as helicopters, to give Federales cover.
The governors and local authorities should be saying no to all of this unless it's a national guard excercise at their direction.

Folks, let's put this in perspective. It took a large "surge" to even begin to keep order in Baghdad. Imagine trying to control several large US cities -- it can't be done. Not without drafting millions. And the draftees would be undisciplined.
If they try, I'll wish I was in the military (I'm too old). I would order my troops to attack their command structure. Many, if not most, officers would do that.
