Live Streams From Athens And Greek Parliament
Today at midnight local time, 5pm Eastern, the Greek parliament is expected to pass the latest bill finalizing the terms of the second Greek bailout, which as explained yesterday has quietly increased from €130 billion to €210 billion. Needless to say, it will pass, as the opportunity cost for Greece of "pledging" to achieve unattainable targets while doing absolutely nothing, as has been shown repeatedly over the past two years, is zero. The only real questions are i) what the Greek population may do in response to this latest selling out of a population "led" by an unelected banker, which if history is any precedent, the answer is not much, and ii) how Germany will subvert this latest event, and put the bail [sic] back in Greece's court once again.

Conrad... always constructive.
Hey, it worked!
I find it ironic in a country where virtually no one is working that the parliment can somehow muster the will to vote this law into place on Sunday at midnight just so the markets can open with the futures up for the banks once again. This is what Fascism looks like before things get real ugly.
The greatest private fraud of human history.
Who are the great fraudsters who are becoming the murderers of the human kind? How does the economy "illness" threaten Democracy and the freedom of people?

By knowing what happened in indebted Greece, where loan sharks created “bubbles” and the current inhuman debt, one can understand the inhuman plan in total ...understand where this plan started just to bring all states at the same end ...understand how this type of plans are established...
The StopCartel link is hours out of date - it's 6pm in Athens.
http://www.enikos.gr/ is live - looks like a fair bit of petrol and teargas being traded....
thank you I was wondering myself in a post up above.
No worries. At the time I started watching, the coverage was past the head of the main procession in a no-mans land in the squere where protesters were throwing rocks and petrol. Now less eventful looking at the main body of protest, but still a few bangs and such to be heard...
My summary of tonight’s vote.
Nachtmahr - Mein Name
?????? ???????!
Wow, what a mess. The banksterz didn't want to wait for a third round since Greece might be out of the EU by then, so they upped the ante by EU80 Billion. As we know, 81% goes to the banksterz so they increased their take by EU64.8 Billion. What a slick move by Puppet Papademos to pull on the Geek citizens in the middle of the night! You're right, the people will not be happy about this.
I wonder when this is going to hit the USSA. Of course in the USSA, shoot to kill policy has been instituted to the masses who speak out.
Crowd turning very ugly. Throwing petrol bombs. Police responding with tear gas. Meanwhile inside the Parliament building the corrupt traitors and quislings are selling their country birthright.
All fun and games until the henchmen start using Whiskey Pete on those ungrateful masses.
Must protect the Crooks at all costs for pensions. Wow wee

I think it was one of the elder Rothschild's who famously said something to the effect of - "I care not what puppet sits on the throne, he who controls the money, controls the empire".
what we are seeing happen now is an extension, the evolution of that statement into it's current endgame for all humans who aspire to be free. I think he might amend that statement today to something like this-
"I care not what puppets spend the money or for what reasons, so long as they keep spending more than they have, for he who controls the debt, controls everything."
Greece may be the first nation to completely fall to the new Bankster empire, but they will certainly not be the last.
Baron Nathan Mayer Rothchild - "I care not what puppet is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire, ... The man that controls Britain's money supply controls the British Empire. And I control the money supply." After the Napoleonic war.
this government is going to collapse.
I think the country collapses tonight.
Watching the debate in Greek parliament. Venizelos saying that a no vote would cause bankruptcy. The boos roared from the other members.
Karatzaferis calling for immediate dissolution of the current and immediate elections.
If you can understand Greek, then could you please post any translation of a vote in progress or major debate issues. Thanks!
I listened to 5 minutes of it.. and then snapped out of it and said to myself" what are I listening to this for, idiot.-- "it was all Greek to me."
are there any reports of live fire?
If not, same old shit another day.
STFW...
Greek police havce fired tear gas at the protesters so far. Intercene hand to hand confrontations. No bullets reported, yet.

props2009 spammed another link to his crummy little site and then said:
Yes, and that relates to this article how?
With props2009, every single time it is a one-liner followed by a link to his crappy capital3x site.
A quick google search reveals that capital3x has established a pattern of using shills to pollute blog comment sections by spamming links to their site as well as pretending to be satisfied capital3x customers:

"Needless to say, it will pass, as the opportunity cost for Greece of "pledging" to achieve unattainable targets while doing absolutely nothing, as has been shown repeatedly over the past two years, is zero."
Priceless sentence.
Wow a real zero hedge :-D
So the Northern European States are going to shovel in €210B to ensure that €14.5B or so rolls over as planned?
Guess those INSEAD grads aren't so smart after all.
Right. It's just a continuation of the ongoing wealth transfer from the serfs to the Kings Court.

2/11/2010 On this day Greece was found kneeling in his bathroom, completely naked, with a noose wrapped around his neck. Not only was he naked, but he was found handcuffed, blindfolded and gagged with red lipstick spelling out sexually explicit words throughout his body.

That live cam sux, there is just motorcyclists driving around a ficus plant in the middle of the street.
What items would sell during a time like this? The Bushs' NWO are migrating scenarios like this to the States soon and a solid inventory ahead of time seems to make sense.
The game of monopoly works well, as long as the players don't agree to start forgiving debt and writing IOU's. Now this game seems to never end.
All these problems come back to philosophy. As long as wealth redistribution is accepted as moral the whole thing continues. Greece gets bailed out. Stays a member of the EU and implements no(or very little) austerity.
This isn't a government caused problem, it isn't a banker caused problem, it is a problem caused by the majority of people's philosophy(in greece and EU and USA). It is a problem with the philosophy that wealth redistribution(theft) is moral. It is a problem with the philosophy that democracy is morality.
Greece if anything has been the smartest player in the game getting far more redistributed to them then they have contributed.
from cia factbook
(60% of their GDP is from the government and 17% is from tourism, industry accounted for 18% but this number is from 2005 which most likely includes spending on infrastructure for Olympics)
Doesn't look like anyone's working. And someone is going to lend them money. And then the stock market will go up? Something doesn't make sense. No?
I disagree. it makes perfect sense. to me it sounds like the austerity measures will easily pass the Parliament and the public will eagerly embrace the cutbacks seeing as they can't wait 10-20 years of wage slavery. at least that is how I see it from my vantage point with my head stuck in the sand and te earplugs in.
Boy that forth live stream link is a real thriller. Last time I saw people speaking mumbo jumbo, waving their hands and squinching their faces up was in Central Park about two years ago. I gave the one guy a dollar I felt so bad for him.
Can't get Cam 3 feed to work..

HAHA parliment is surrounded, greece wins!
nonono. tear gas producers win.
They have to break into the parliment and kill the politicians, otherwise there will be no difference for these people.
But I guess they are to lazy and gutless to accomplish any real change!

The rape of Greece and its people live - only a barbaric, self-delusonal nation of boiled frogs, f.k.a. Americans cannot realize they watch a preview of what's coming to the theatre near them...
Things are crazy in Athens! They are reporting 27 buildings burning. Tear gas galore on the live feed. Even sounds of gunfire, Rubber bullits?
Yea, was wondering what the pop pop pop pop sounds were. Doubt it's gun fire... or else people would be Running like hell. Maybe some sort of sound poppers or something.
Very interesting to watch - I did not see the previous major protests, so cannot compare.
'By: CNBC: Anarchists and police fought running battles in central Athens'
So that is the way CNBC defines Greek citizens.
I would be most curious to hear CNBC's take on Chinese citizenism citizens.
I bet it would make me laugh!
Somehow, I suspect that all the public spitting, farting, nose-picking, and roadside shitting would not be part of their analysis --- just as the ongoing Chinese exploitation and colonization of Tibet, environmental destruction, warmongering against Taiwan, and brutal suppression of internal dissent is not part of the corporate-controlled media's portrayal of the People's Republic of Plastic Rice and Enforced-Abortion Sweatshops either.
Stoolman Mousy Tongue said it best in his famous Tiny Vermilion Treatise: "All hypocrisy and rapacious blobbing-up flows from the barrel of roadside shitting Chinese citizenism."
I'm glad you mentioned Blobbing up, I was about to comment on it myself.
Indeed.
Blobbing up is the inherent and eternal ..... oh Hell, you know the drill.
Coming to a town near you...
We need more drones
To the CNBC cunts calling these protesters "anarchists" in the headlines on your homepage: FUCK YOU SHILL CUNTS!!!

Rioting in the street accomplishes nothing. Maybe turn some of that energy into accepting the reality of the situation and start shoveling.
The days off living beyond your means and off some one elses labor are over. cry baby cry, your old enough to know better.
they can't hear or don't want to.
Decorating the light poles with banksters and thieving politicians could go a long way and using the Parliment building for the homeless could turn some heads. The PEOPLE need to take back Greece and put it back on the right path to prosperity and freedom.
Where does this right path start? They are fukked for a very long time no matter what they do. The path of least near term pain is to stay in the EU and force the Germans to continually transfer wealth to them. It's not like there will suddenly be jobs for everyone after they drop out, default, and go back to the drachma....They have no economy, no jobs and they hve forgotten how to work.
Nice jingoism, but meaningless. Do you have any understanding of the root causes of the Greek problem, or do you just have some undefined anger that needs to find a target group of which you are not a member?
Greece went into deficit because it provided its citizens more than it could afford to provide. It would have done the same in or out of the euro. The common currency just limits its own ability to print and debase on its own. Since it could not pay for itself, it borrowed to pay for the bread and circuses its people grew accustomed to and now demand. Because the providers of that capital have determined that Greece cannot repay its borrowings and will continue to promise its citizens more than they can afford, those funds are being cut off. Austerity means that PUBLIC sector employees are being cut, their wages are being cut and their pensions are being cut. Because these workers were also customers of private sector enterprises, private sector companies are facing difficult times.
Just one simple example: do you know that the Greek Railway pays four times as much in wages than it actually takes in in revenues, never mind what it has to pay for fuel, equipment, maintainance, etc.? You think this problem is solved by hanging a few bankers and politicians, and all those workers can still receive the same pay, purchase the same goods and services from the private sector, and have all Greeks pay the same ticket prices to ride the rails?
If you are to include "banksters and thieving politicians" on your list of bogeymen, then you'd better also include those who benefited from the deficit spending (public sector employees) and also private sector firms who benefited from the spending of public sector workers. It is all interconnected, and will not be miraculously solved because some internet tough guy recommends "decorating the light poles with banksters and thieving politicians". Had the banks not loaned Greece the money to fund the bread and circuses, today's problem would have happened years ago.
The root of this type of problem is that people worldwide want to consume today more than they can produce in a host of tomorrows. Politicians pander to this human desire, though if they didn't, I suspect you would be complaining that leaders are being patronizing by telling the populace to work for what they want to consume.
If anyone in this passion play has a legitimate gripe against bankers, it would be the citizens of countries whose domiciled banks made loans to the Greeks, since these are the citizens who are going to be paying for the bread and circuses the Greeks have come to expect.

This has got to be serious as the Greek channles here on Cyprus have stopped showing dubbed American reality programs and it's now non-stop "call in" shows while Athens burns.
C'mon Greeks...is your pride worth nothing more than a warehouse full of fiat??
And the odds of Greece actually complying with whatever law they pass this evening are about what...

Seems pretty quiet right now. Are they waiting for the bell?
Less than 40 minutes to go before official scheduled vote time......
I think Greece could recover quite well if allowed to repay back its debt in 500-1000 years.
Mankind is not about tommorow or next year.
That's not really the problem. Payback period is not the burden. They run an operating deficit. That is the burden.
I understand your point. I take that back:)
So Greece is headed towards collapse and perhaps civil war. Of course, we are already in a civil war here as well, it is just hidden by those trying to kick the economic collapse down the road. The war is over debt bondage, slavery to the welfare state. Many on the right have been predicting this kind of collapse for years but they were just ahead of their time. There's a book about surviving civil war II here. http://www.futurnamics.com/civilwar.php

Poor Leo? Poor me. I used to love heaping abuse on that retarded nerd, but it turned out even Leo he had an abuse limit and he stopped posting on ZH. And I'm still flying blind on what the Squid victims at the Canuck wealth funds are lining up to lose money in. Come on Leo...leave a comment here once in a while so I can get a fix, will 'ya hoser?
Actually, Tyler told me in a personal messsge that Leo was banned from and/or asked to leave ZeroHedge, for reasons which were never officially stated (although having been rather abundantly obvious).
BTW, riots and bombings were a part of Greek culture and politics for the several decades before joining the EU. Things have actually been rather quiet the past decade. It might be more correct to look at this latest swing toward violence as a reversion to the mean.
The ECB can keep pumping money into a black hole. Many more black holes (PIIGS) in the Euro Universe.

Does "oshy shola" mean I vote yes and "ne shola" is I vote no?
I believe it's the opposite.
The former means "No, to everything" and the latter means "Yes, to everything."
You have to wonder where the Greek military stands here. It's not as if they haven't stepped in before and overthrown the govt.

Judging by the massive spike in the EUR/USD just now, it looks like the bailout passed.

I could never get into doing Greek --- all that frothy, messy, post-coital santorum is a major turn-off for me.

They're voting and from the sounds of it...it is going to pass.
It was always going to pass. If you are going to be maximally cynical (as this blog teaches you), you have to assume that Greece will do what it has always done: raise alot of hell, but take the money no matter what austerity (always virtual) will be required. ES 1380 shortly this week.

Folks here are actingl like it's passed. Hard to say as I can't understand Greek.
A few things to help you all interpret what you're viewing on ZH or tv:
the only people in Greece who are not losing a dime are the politicians.
WIth 10 million population, they've got nearly 300 politicians in the parliament.
No pay cuts, no cuts in pension. They get their pension as soon they lose an election.
The guys destroying stuff are not the average citizen. They're young anarchists, and
could be, in part, paid by the police to freak normal people out. That's why they never get
arrested.
If the place burns, so what? It means nothing.
The rest are still surviving waiting for the next black swan.
