Nancy Pelosi Issues Statement On Soaring Gas Prices
Warning: Not for the faint of heart.
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the rising gas prices across the country:
“Independent reports confirm that speculators are driving up the cost of oil, hurting consumers and potentially damaging the economic recovery. Wall Street profiteering, not oil shortages, is the cause of the price spike. In fact, U.S. oil production is at its highest level since 2003, and millions of acres have been cleared for additional development.
“We need to take strong action to protect consumers from this speculation. Unfortunately, Republicans have chosen to protect the interests of Wall Street speculators and oil companies instead of the interests of working Americans by obstructing the agencies with the responsibility of enforcing consumer protection laws. They have also repeatedly opposed our efforts to end billions of dollars in outdated taxpayer subsidies for oil companies enjoying record profits.
“We support efforts by the Obama Administration to expand domestic energy resources, including natural gas and renewable sources like wind and solar that create jobs in America and will end our dangerous dependence on foreign energy supplies. This can be achieved because today, the United States currently has more oil and gas rigs at work than the rest of the world combined, and imports of foreign oil have decreased.
“We call on the Republican leadership to act on behalf of American consumers and join our efforts to crack down on speculators who care more about their profits than the price at the pump even if these spikes harm the American consumer and our economy.”
Speculators? Such as the Federal Reserve and other central banks who have pumped $2 trillion of "liquidity" into the capital markets in the past 3 months just so Italian BTPs don't implode to fair value and so Europeans can continue living in a socialist "paradise" even as the bankers steal their gold?
Or is it the same congressional speculators who until recently had every right to front run the public on advance knowledge that the SPR would be tapped due to Democrat insistence to sacrifice America's last energy backstop only to win the election?
Or is Nancy simply pissed off that she can no longer trade ahead of any market moving news?
Whatever the reason for the gas surge, with these idiots in charge one thing is certain - the situation is about to get far, far worse.

Whenever you see a shill like Pilosi come out and speak, you can rest assured she is doing it to distract the mind of the masses from the truth.
The currency of the rulers of the world is oil. When the value of fiat paper goes down, any excuse that has worked in the past will be used to raise the price of oil to keep it ahead of any inflation or deflationary devaluation.
Say you need higher oil prices because of excessive currency devaluation in the face of deflationary pressures of a loss of demand in industrialized countries. All you have to do is create a bottleneck crisis of supply in an oil rich part of the world (I.e. the Straight of Hormuz), and Voilá! The real rulers of the world get their mammon.
Everything else is just window dressing.
Verily if the big hat no cattle futures/commodity traders had to have the ability to take delivery, all this varmint putang would end.

US citizens did not produce the conditions for abundance. The previous orders did (and quite funnily on various spots on the Earth)
US citizens, humanity history wise, have been the ones to manage the era of abundance.
And what have been the obsession of US citizens? Ending the age of abundance the fastest possible, shortening it as soon as they can.
To achieve that, US citizens have crushed anyone who dare to stand up and criticize the mad ideas brought by US citizens.
And now that abudance is fading away, with the well expected consequence that speculation is less and less diluted by abundance, back again with the promise that governments are going to quash speculators?
Come on, US citizens, is it the best you have in yourself after consuming so much of the Earth? Why not detach from the rest of the world and start to prove your claims like you could do quite well with no resources, that you can overcome the environment?
After all, for humanity lovers as you pretend to be, it is the best decision you would ever take.
Or is humanity only good as smoke and mirrors to advance your extorting the weak and farming the poor schemes?

If dependence on foreign oil is a threat to our nation - as they so often state - then any politician that hinders the development of our own petroleum exploration, extration and processing here domestically should be declared an enemy combatant and summarily imprisoned and/or shot.
Same goes for any sitting or retired politician. If our debt is such a threat to our nation, then any of them that have contributed to an unbalanced budget should all be rounded up and placed in a POW camp. Proposing such future legislation should be deemed treasonous to the state.
