New Corruption Index eight SEC employees disciplined for assisting in the loss of $50 Billion
The question of the day is how many billions would it take for an SEC employee to be fired? So for a discipline event the per employee loss is $6,250,000,000. In 2009 alone, Harry Reid requested money for pork projects that ended up costing taxpayers $229,773,429. It seems that ensconced Federal Employees cost more to chastise per employee than a free market environment, but in either case no one finds themselves unemployed with one exception the taxpayer.
Is it possible to create a Big Mac like index for Global Corruption in order to derive the cost of a dollar spent versus the rate of return? There seems to be no tipping point at which a Government Employee is fired so the stable base of Government Employees either elected or appointed should provide a way of understanding the effects of inflation on corruption cost. This corruption premium can then be calculated and added to the cost of business in whatever sovereign entity or political subdivision one finds oneself in.
What is the corruption premium for Greek bailout funds and will there ever be enough money?
