With just over 3 hours left until a completely unexpected government shutdown, what was supposed to be a token vote (as we called it), ended up being yet another debacle for House republicans under Boehner, when it turned out - literally in the last second - that the republicans do not have the required votes.
So here is what happens next:
NEWS: HOUSE REPUBLICANS WILL ROLL THE DICE, VOTE ON THE CROMNIBUS. MOVE TO THREE-MONTH STOP-GAP BILL IF IT FAILS.

HOUSE Rs are REALLY rolling the dice by voting on the omnibus, but they do have the 3-month CR ready

As for the vote, it will take place momentarily:
HOUSE VOTES AT 8:55
— Seung Min Kim (@seungminkim) December 12, 2014 [6]
HERE WE GO: House to reconvene momentarily to resume consideration of the $1.01 trillion spending bill.

And yet...
Finally: House GOP leaders plan a vote around 9:05p on the cromnibus. Decent chance it fails. No official Plan B yet.
