About That Rate Hike...
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/13/2015 15:55 -0500This is where the Fed. now finds itself. Here they were. Just holding policy lines doing what they in their Ivory Tower contemplated and the so-called “smart crowd” insisted they do. And now the saying of “Between a rock and a hard place” might be an understatement. The world sits atop a tinderbox fueled by monetary policies that created them and awaits a match that could set it off in a blaze of who knows what. All in short order. Unless they don’t do anything except try their best Draghi impersonation and declare, “They too are once again at the ready to do what ever it takes!” Except – just not now.
Middle-East Opens Weak: Dubai Stocks Slump To 2-Year Lows As Financials Tumble
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/13/2015 02:06 -0500Following Friday's further freefall in crude oil prices, The Middle East is opening down notably. Abu Dhabi, Saudi, and Kuwait are lower; Israel is weak and UAE and Qatar are tumbling, but Dubai is worst for now. Dubai is down for the 6th day in a row (dropping over 3% - the most in a month) extending the opening losses to 2-year lows. The 11% drop in the last 6 days is the largest since the post-China-devaluation global stock collapse. Leading the losses are financial and property firms.
Is ISIS Simply A "Saudi Army In Disguise"?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/12/2015 22:00 -0500
What stinks in Saudi Arabia ain’t the camel dung. It’s the monarchy of King Salman and his hot-headed son, Prince Salman. For decades they have financed terrorism under a fake religious disguise, to advance their private plutocratic agenda. It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with money and oil. Saudi control of that oil wealth (from Iraq to Syria) via their ISIS agents, along with her clear plan to take out the US shale oil competition, or so Riyadh reckons, would make the Saudi monarchy a vastly richer state.
The West’s Alliance With Saudi Arabia Fuels Islamism
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/12/2015 16:07 -0500
The spread of extremist Islamist ideology is as much a result of Western foreign policy as of Saudi machinations. It is no coincidence that ISIS is adopting Saudi religious textbooks in its schools, killing Shia in Saudi Arabia just like the early Wahhabi zealots wanted to, and generally garnering much support on a popular level in the kingdom.
10 Things More Likely To Kill You Than Islamic Terror
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/12/2015 12:00 -0500"I am not terrified of the terrorists; i.e., I am not, myself, terrorized. Rather, I am terrified of the terrorized; terrified of the bovine masses who are so easily manipulated by terrorists, governments, and the terror-amplifying media into allowing our country to slip toward totalitarianism and total war." – Dan Sanchez
War Is On The Horizon: Is It Too Late To Stop It?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/10/2015 22:50 -0500One lesson from military history is that once mobilization for war begins, it takes on a momentum of its own and is uncontrollable. This might be what is occuring unrecognized before our eyes.

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/10/2015 13:27 -0500"2015 was like commuting by rollercoaster. There were heart-stopping drops, there were nearly vertical ascents, and when it was all over you got off just about where you started and it cost you money."
"We Are Living Amid An Islamic Threat", French Mayor Says: "Our Country Is At War Inside Our Borders"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/09/2015 20:16 -0500"We are living amid an Islamic threat and we should be aware of the consequences. Our country, as well as other European countries, is at war – both outside our borders, in Syria for instance, and inside our borders, because our enemies live in our own country”
"Come To Us, We'll Show You Paradise" Salafist 'Aid Workers' Recruit Refugees In Germany
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/09/2015 13:56 -0500The number of radical Salafists in Germany has more than doubled over the past five years, according to a new estimate by German intelligence officials. And now, Salafists disguised as aid workers are canvassing German refugee shelters in search of new recruits from among the nearly one million asylum seekers who have arrived this year from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Some Salafists are offering gifts of money and clothing, with literature saying "Come to us. We will show you Paradise."

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/09/2015 10:13 -0500“The government and parliament need to review the agreement signed with the United States on security because the United States does not seriously care about its fulfillment, We demand that it be annulled."
America's Reckless Fight Against Evil: Six Mistakes On The Road To Perpetual War
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/08/2015 21:30 -0500Why do we as a nation keep on playing into the same dismal scenario and committing the same mistakes? Why this seemingly irresistible urge to fight yet another war against evil? The longer we fight, the more deeply we are seized by fear. The more we fear, the more fiercely we are determined to fight. Perhaps the point is not to win the war but to remain trapped in this vicious circle, which feels perversely comforting because it offers a sense of unified national identity as nothing else can in our otherwise deeply divided nation.
It Will Take 10 Years To Recapture Mosul From ISIS, US Army Officer Says
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/08/2015 17:51 -0500According to one US soldier who fought in Mosul from 2005 to 2006, all of the "loose talk" about retaking the city from ISIS is wishful thinking. "Look at the stories from Fallujah — a city that is 20 percent the size of Mosul," he cautions adding that even if the city could be captured and sealed off from ISIS supply lines, troops would need to "settle in for a siege and a ten-year war of attrition."
The American Forex Delusion

This Is Why $20 Oil Is A Possibility
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/08/2015 10:21 -0500The day of reckoning has arrived for the oil price. After a year of "Oil Price Crash" in October the world managed record production of 97.09 Mbpd. Production momentum built in the period of high price, 2007 to 2014, is proving very difficult to switch off. It must be switched off and it seems to me the most likely scenario is sharply lower oil price in the near term.

It's going to get worse and worse, folks. We can be politically correct and we can be stupid but it's going to be worse and worse." Donald Trump said even as an AP summary of Muslim reactions to Trump can be summarized as follows: "He's trying to alienate not only the Muslim population of the United States but all the Muslims around the world."
