Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/21/2015 23:55 -0500After calling repeatedly for the US to stop supporting militants in an effort to oust the Assad government in Syria, Hawaii Congresswoman Gabbard has now introduced bi-partisan legislation to put an end to what she calls an "illegal", CIA-sponsored war.
"Barrel Bombs" And Bullshit: The Tangled Threads Of Washington Lies About Syria And Russia
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/21/2015 22:00 -0500There are so many strands of lies and distortions that it is now almost impossible for Official Washington to disentangle itself from all the false narratives that the neocons and the liberal hawks have spun in support of their various “regime change” strategies. So, the American people are left with the mainstream U.S. news media endlessly repeating storylines that are either completely false or highly exaggerated. Official Washington’s many false narratives about Russia and Syria have gotten so tangled that they have become a danger to the struggle against jihadist terrorism and conceivably a threat to the future of the planet.
Over-Reaching Government "Enables" Culture Warriors
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/20/2015 18:55 -0500In a libertarian world, people with these differing opinions and values can live side by side in reasonable harmony, each side following the famous Voltairian advice to disapprove of what someone says (or does), but defend to the death his right to say (or do) it. But this harmony breaks down when one group or the other seeks to put the heavy finger of government on their side of the scales.
Caught On Tape: Russian Air Force Destroys Dozens Of ISIS Oil Trucks
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/19/2015 23:10 -0500"In just the first few days, [Russian] aviation has destroyed 500 fuel tanker trucks, which greatly reduced illegal oil export capabilities of the militants and, accordingly, their income from oil smuggling."
How Islamic Extremism Was Born
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/19/2015 22:30 -0500History takes no prisoners. It shows, with absolute lucidity, that the Islamic extremism ravaging the world today was borne out of the Western foreign policy of yesteryear.
Understanding The Power-Contest Between Aristocracies
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/19/2015 21:30 -0500At the core of global power stands the conflict between the Sauds (and their Sunni clergy) and the Iranians (and their Shiite clergy). One can’t understand U.S.-Russian relations, nor much else of what is happening in the world, without knowing the relevant historical background; and the origins and nature of the Sunni war against Shiia are arguably the most essential part of that to comprehend just how the United States came to back the Sunnis, and how Russia came to back the Shiites, in this war.

Obama "Lives In A Fantasy Land," Chris Christie Rages John Kerry Should "Get Some Sleep & Shut Up"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/18/2015 11:53 -0500With poll numbers plunging, it is hardly surprising that Chris Christie would come out swinging in the aftermath of the French attacks and while his comments this morning during a Fox News interview are rather astonishingly frank, they are not entirely without merit as the Obama administration appears to tumble from pillar to post with regard foreign policy and specifically ISIS. Remarking on John Kerry's comment that the terror attacks in Paris lacked the "rationale" of the assault earlier this year on the staff of 'Charlie Hebdo', Chistie exclaimed the Secretary of State should "get some sleep and shut up," adding that President Obama "was living in a fantasy land" and should focus on protecting the U.S., not helping Syrian refugees.

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/16/2015 14:55 -0500The United States still plans to try to admit 10,000 Syrian refugees into the country in the coming year, the State Department said on Monday as the weekend attacks in Paris renewed scrutiny on Syrian migrants. But not just anyone: according to the US State Department, the US will only accept "carefully vetted" Syrian refugees...

Why The Neocons Hate The Donald
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/13/2015 21:45 -0500Trump, for all his contradictions, gives voice to the “isolationist” populism that Rubio and his neocon confederates despise, and which is implanted so deeply in the American consciousness. Why us? Why are we paying everybody’s bills? Why are we fighting everybody else’s wars? It’s a bad deal! This is why the neocons hate Trump’s guts even more than they hate Paul.

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/13/2015 21:00 -0500In the wake of Bill Ackman's verbal jousting with Charile Munger, WSJ has taken a look at what many consider to be the myth behind Warren Buffett's "folksy" demeanor. As it turns out, it's best to do as Buffett does, not as he says.
