If You Live In These States You'll Soon Need A Passport For Domestic Flights
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/20/2015 18:15 -0500To comply with the 2005 Real ID Act, which the U.S. government has been slowly implementing for the past decade, citizens in a number of different U.S. states will now be forced to obtain a passport if they want to board an airplane - even for domestic flights.
US Readies Battle Plans For Baltic War With Russia: Report
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/19/2015 16:05 -0500As Foreign Policy reports, "the new plans, according to the senior defense official, have two tracks. One focuses on what the United States can do as part of NATO if Russia attacks one of NATO’s member states; the other variant considers American action outside the NATO umbrella. Both versions of the updated contingency plans focus on Russian incursions into the Baltics, a scenario seen as the most likely front."
Deep State America
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/18/2015 21:25 -0500Ordinary Americans frequently ask why politicians and government officials appear to be so obtuse, rarely recognizing what is actually occurring in the country. That is partly due to the fact that the political class lives in a bubble of its own creation, but it might also be because many of America’s leaders actually accept that there is an unelected, unappointed, and unaccountable presence within the system that actually manages what is taking place behind the scenes. That would be the American deep state. America’s deep state is completely corrupt: it exists to sell out the public interest, and includes both major political parties as well as government officials.
Putin Accuses World Of "Using Terrorist Groups" To Destabilize Governments
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/15/2015 19:40 -0500"Countries need to put aside geopolitical ambitions [and] direct or indirect use of terrorist groups to achieve goals that include regime change, in order to counter the threat of Islamic State. Elementary common sense responsibility for global and regional security demands the collective effort of the international community."
Enough Already! Raise The Rate To 3 Percent
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/14/2015 16:04 -0500Everything is so wonderful that a rate hike would equate to saying the Fed has won. Seven years of ZIRP and a few selling periods when the Fed stopped POMO’s and QE injections, we can easily say with extreme confidence that the Fed won. And by won we mean didn’t ruin the system entirely. Except they did.
Nine Liberties Lost Since 9/11
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/12/2015 10:02 -0500Every year, “NEVER FORGET” echoes through the neighborhoods, cities, and Facebook statuses of America. 14 years after 9/11, Americans still bear the cross of a nation victimized and scorned after the brutal attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. While Americans — and politicians who are still intent on capitalizing on the tragedy — vow never to forget the fateful day, far too many citizens forget the liberties they have relinquished as a result. Lest yesterday’s valiantly waving flags, government ceremonies, and TV news specials replaying the plane crashes coax you into forgetting, these nine essential freedoms have been usurped since 9/11
Remembering 9/11: The Wolf In 'Patriot Act' Sheep's Clothing
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/11/2015 10:11 -0500The day was September 11, 2001. Our New York office was on the 92nd floor of the World Trade Center Tower 1. None of the employees who had arrived to work that day survived. It is a moment that elicits strong emotions within me to this day and I know I’m not alone. In the days and weeks that followed, while the world came together to mourn those lost and to condemn those responsible, our policymakers in Washington were working feverishly to find opportunity in this tragedy. Forty-five days after 9/11, President Bush signed into law the U.S. Patriot Act.
In Major Humiliation For Obama, Iran Sends Soldiers To Support Russian Troops In Syria
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/10/2015 22:40 -0500The latest twist in what we have been warning for months has the makings of the biggest proxy shooting war in years, one that will come as a major humiliation to the Obama administration, today we find out that none other than America's most recent diplomatic sweetheart in the Gulf region, Iran, has deployed ground soldiers into Syria in the past few days in cooperation with Russia's President Vladimir Putin.

China Panics: Calls On US To "Jointly Ensure Global Stability", Exclaims "Economic Outlook Is Very Bright"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/08/2015 20:19 -0500Hot on the heels of The World Bank demanding The Fed not hike rates, China issued a statement "calling on US to jointly ensure global economic stability," tonight following a farcical intervention last night on record low volumes and a small devaluation of the Yuan. Foreign Minister Wang added "China and U.S. should also properly handle disagreements and safeguard current international order," just as another minister spewed forth "China’s economic outlook is very bright," - well apart from the record debt, collapsing asset values, and masssive over-capacity, you mean. Further measures detailing the new capital restrictions for forward FX transactions were announced (which will likely do for CNH what regulators did to Chinese index futures). Chinese stoicks are extending their gains in the pre-open on vapid volume as China leaves Yuan practically unchanged.
MI6 "ISIS Rat Line" & The Threat To India
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/08/2015 18:00 -0500The prosecution of a Swedish national accused of terrorist activities in Syria has collapsed at the Old Bailey after it became clear Britain’s security and intelligence agencies would have been deeply embarrassed had a trial gone ahead, the Guardian reported. "The prosecution abandoned the case, apparently to avoid embarrassing the intelligence services. The defence argued that going ahead with the trial would have been an “affront to justice” when there was plenty of evidence the British state was itself providing “extensive support” to the armed Syrian opposition. That didn’t only include the “non-lethal assistance” boasted of by the government (including body armour and military vehicles), but training, logistical support and the secret supply of “arms on a massive scale”."
Chuck Norris "Exhausted" By Iran Nuclear "Antics", Walker May Launch "Pre-Emptive Strikes"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/07/2015 15:59 -0500"We’re exhausted by your antics and empty promises. If we so much as sniff continued nuclear development, we are going to covertly and overtly stop you, even if that means military action and pre-emptive strikes on your nuclear facilities."
CyberWar & The False Comfort Of Mutually Assured Destruction
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/06/2015 21:00 -0500As an investor, you have enough to be concerned about just taking into account factors like inflation, deflation, Fed policy and the overall state of the economy. Now you have another major threat looming – financial warfare, enabled by cyberattacks and force multipliers. What can you do to preserve wealth when these cyberfinancial wars break out? The key is to have some portion of your total assets invested in nondigital assets that cannot be hacked, wiped out or disrupted by financial warfare. The time to take defensive action by acquiring some non-digital assets is now.
Martin Armstrong "Astonished" At Hillary Email Scandal
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/04/2015 16:30 -0500The most incredible aspect of Hillary’s e-mail scandal is the media’s total dismissal of a simple fact — Hillary DID NOT use the government’s e-mail system — she used her own. She claimed she was unaware that you could have two e-mails on one phone. That alone shows that she is not qualified to be president.
Paul Craig Roberts: The Rise Of The Inhumanes
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/03/2015 21:40 -0500America’s descent into totalitarian violence is accelerating. It is a land in which facts have been redefined as enemy propaganda, a land in which legally protected whistleblowers are redefined as “fifth columns” or foreign agents subject to extermination, a land in which America is immune from criticism and all crimes are blamed on those whom Washington intends to rule.
