'Rate-Hike-Loving' Investors Suddenly Dump Stocks, Commodities As Growth Reality Sinks In
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/09/2015 16:04 -0500The End Of The Fed's Self-Deluding Feedback Loop Of False Information
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/09/2015 15:55 -0500The world is bankrupt after thirty years of borrowing from the future to throw a party in the present, and the authorities can’t acknowledge that. But they can provide the conditions for disguising it, especially in the statistical hall of mirrors that once-upon-a-time produced meaningful signals for the movement of capital. The Dow, the S&P, and the NASDAQ are the only signaling mechanisms that the legacy media pays attention to, and the politicos take their cues from them, in a feedback loop of false information that begets more delusional positive psychology in those same markets.
Keynesian-Constructed 'Markets' Will "Drift Ever Further From Reality... Impoverishing All Layers Of Society"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/09/2015 15:20 -0500Today’s system is essentially a system that can drift ever further away from reality through temporal discoordination, resource misallocation and eventually capital consumption. The final coordinating mechanism is nothing less than economic recession. Without them society would regress, impoverishing first the poor, then the middle class and in the end all socioeconomic layers of society.
US Equity Plunge Erases November Gains
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/09/2015 11:51 -0500It appears that hawkishness and rate-hikes are once again not-so-bullish for stocks... either that or the algos read the details of the jobs report and realized just how ugly it all is under the surface...
Automation Doesn't Just Destroy Jobs - It Destroys Profits, Too
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/09/2015 11:38 -0500Automation is upending the global order by eliminating human labor on an unprecedented scale - and the status quo has no reality-based solution to this wholesale loss of jobs. The idea that taxing the owners of robots and software will fund guaranteed incomes for all is not anchored in reality.
A Fifth Of Spain's GDP Just Voted To Secede - What Now?

"US Debt Is 3 Times More Than You Think" Warns Former Chief US Accountant
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/08/2015 15:45 -0500In a shocking admission for most of mainstream America, the former U.S. comptroller general says the real U.S. debt is closer to about $65 trillion than the oft-cited figure of $18 trillion, thanks to unfunded liabilities which simply cannot be ignored. As The Hill reports, unless economic growth accelerates, he warns, "you’re not going to be able to provide the kind of social safety net that we need in this country," adding unequivocially that Americans have "lost touch with reality" when it comes to spending.
Volkswagen To Offer Cash To Diesel Car Owners After Engineers Admit To Emissions Manipulation
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/08/2015 13:12 -0500In the aftermath of the Volkswagen emissions manipulation scandal, things for the giant German car maker appear to be going from bad to worse with every passing week.
"A Thin-Skinned Minority Is Ruining This Nation": Professor Crushes "Political Correctness" Wave Sweeping America
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/08/2015 12:40 -0500"I am talking about the growing minority of students who believe they have a right to be free from being offended.. if this doesn't work for you, I would simply ask you to get the hell out of the country. The ever-growing thinned-skinned minority you have joined is simply ruining life in this once-great nation. Please move to some place like Cuba where you can enjoy the company of communists and get excellent health care. Just hop on a leaky boat and start paddling your way towards utopia. You will not be missed."
Global Trade, Demand Continues To Dry Up As China's Exports Miss For Fourth Straight Month
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/08/2015 10:16 -0500China's exports fell for the fourth consecutive month in October as evidence of collapsing global demand and trade continues to pile up. “A lot of Westerners think this helped us out a lot. But the 2% depreciation actually hurt us. It was in every newspaper and customers called us within hours pushing for 6% discount, so we had to give them 4%."
The End Of Rebalancing: Marginal Productivity Of Chinese Debt Goes From Bad To Much Worse
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/07/2015 15:15 -0500Taking the Chinese GDP statistics at face value (an increasingly big assumption these days) we point out a rather ominous scenario which seems to be developing in the productivity dynamics of Chinese debt-financed growth.
Is Washington Preparing For World War III?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/06/2015 22:25 -0500The US military-intelligence complex is engaged in systematic preparations for World War III. As far as the Pentagon is concerned, a military conflict with China and/or Russia is inevitable, and this prospect has become the driving force of its tactical and strategic planning. Three congressional hearings Tuesday demonstrated this reality. Contrary to the media portrayal of Washington as deeply divided between parties with intransigently opposed political outlooks, there was bipartisan agreement on this most fundamental of issues, the preparation of a new imperialist world war.
Volkswagen And China: A Perfect Fit
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/06/2015 18:55 -0500If Angela Merkel wants to get rid of one of her major headaches, we suggest she should tell Volkswagen to move its operations from Wolfsburg to China. It may seem a strange thing to do at first blush, with 750,000 German jobs on the line, but bear with us here, because this could well be the only way to preserve at least some value for VW’s stock- and bondholders.
Weekend Reading: Copious Contemplations
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/06/2015 16:35 -0500"After many years of ultra-accommodative polices, it is clear that ongoing interventions have failed to boost actual economic growth and only exacerbated the destruction of the middle class. It is clear that employment growth has only been a function of population growth, as witnessed by the ongoing decline in the labor-force participation rates and the surging levels of individuals that have fallen out of the work-force. While we will continue to operate to foster maximum employment and price stability, the reality is that the economy overall remains far to weak to sustain higher interest rates or any tightening of monetary policy."
It's Official: The Baltic Dry Index Has Crashed To Its Lowest November Level In History
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/06/2015 14:41 -05002015 has been an 'odd' year. Typically this time of year sees demand picking up amid holiday inventory stacking and measures of global trade such as The Baltic Dry Index rise from mid-summer to Thanksgiving. This year, it has not. In fact, it has plummeted as the world's economic engines slow and reality under the covers of global stock markets suggests a massive deflationary wave (following a massive mal-investment boom). At a level of 631, this is the lowest cost for Baltic Dry Freight Index for this time of year in history.. and within a small drop of an all-time historical low.
