Militarization Is More Than Tanks & Rifles: It’s a Cultural Disease, Acclimating Citizens To Life In A Police State
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/20/2015 21:00 -0500The problems we’re grappling with have been building for more than 40 years. They’re not going to go away overnight, and they certainly will not be resolved by a report that instructs the police to simply adopt different tactics to accomplish the same results - i.e., maintain the government’s power, control and wealth at all costs. This is the sad reality of life in the American police state.
Google Apologizes For "Nigger House" Search Result
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/20/2015 11:01 -0500"Do no evil..." that is part from the racist stuff, would appear to be Google's new meme as The Guardian reports the somewhat unbelievable fact that searches which include the racist slur “nigger” were shown to find the White House in Google Maps. “Some inappropriate results are surfacing in Google Maps that should not be, and we apologise for any offence this may have caused. Our teams are working to fix this issue quickly,” a Google spokesperson said, claiming that it had been experiencing “escalated attacks to spam Google Maps over the past few months”.

"If The Public Knew About Obama's Lies And Cover Ups, Mitt Romney Might Be President" - Judicial Watch
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/19/2015 22:27 -0500“These documents are jaw-dropping. No wonder we had to file more FOIA lawsuits and wait over two years for them. If the American people had known the truth – that Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other top administration officials knew that the Benghazi attack was an al-Qaeda terrorist attack from the get-go – and yet lied and covered this fact up – Mitt Romney might very well be president."
Someone Finally Read Obama's Secret Trade Deal And Admits The TPP "Will Damage This Nation"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/19/2015 18:33 -0500"The public criticisms of the TPP have been vague. That’s by design—anyone who has read the text of the agreement could be jailed for disclosing its contents. I’ve actually read the TPP text provided to the government’s own advisors, and I’ve given the president an earful about how this trade deal will damage this nation. But I can’t share my criticisms with you. I can tell you that Elizabeth Warren is right about her criticism of the trade deal. We should be very concerned about what's hidden in this trade deal—and particularly how the Obama administration is keeping information secret even from those of us who are supposed to provide advice."
"Obama's Strategy Against ISIS Is In Ruins"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/19/2015 18:28 -0500Over the weekend, a major shift in the balance of power in Iraq took place when Islamic State forces seized the key Iraqi state of Ramadi. It took barely one day for the neoconservative cries for an aggressive and powerful response when overnight Kimberly Kagan's hawkish think tank, the Institute for the Study of War, came out with its assessment which was at least partially right that "Obama's strategy against the Islamic State in ruins not only in Iraq but also throughout the Muslim world."

On Tuesday, the Vermont senator will hold a press conference in the nation's capital at which he will introduce a plan to use a so-called Robin Hood tax on stock transactions to fund tuition at four-year public colleges and universities," Bloomberg reports.
Chris Christie Calls Snowden Supporters "Civil Liberties Extremists" In His Latest Desperate Neocon Diatribe
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/18/2015 21:30 -0500“When Edward Snowden revealed our intelligence secrets to the world in 2013, civil liberties extremists seized that moment to advance their own narrow agenda." Well the founding fathers were also “civil liberties extremists” with a narrow agenda. That agenda was laid out in a little something called the Constitution. The most dangerous part of Christie’s language is calling Snowden defenders “extremists.” Christie knows exactly what that term has come to mean, and he deliberately used it.
Obama Flip-Flops: Plans To De-Militarize His Militarized Police
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/18/2015 20:30 -0500Having enabled billions of dollars worth of militarized equipment to be unloaded into every police department in the nation - only to have alienated the very Americans that hoped for change the most - it appears President Obama is ready to uncross another red line. Following unrest in U.S. cities over the deaths of black men at the hands of police officers, Reuters reports, during his triup to Camden NJ, Obama announced his plans to put in place new restrictions on the use of military equipment by police departments.

This list includes names such as Reid, Feinstein, McConnell, McCain, Pelosi, Boehner, Rangel and Boxer. With a 15% approval rating, The American People absolutely hate the job that Congress is doing, and yet the same clowns just keep getting sent back to Washington again and again.
Lapdogs, Redux: How The Press Tried To Discredit Seymour Hersh’s Last Bombshell Report
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/17/2015 21:10 -0500Hersh has pissed off some very powerful people and institutions with this story, and that means the inevitable media pushback to discredit his reporting is already underway... He got the same hostile reaction from his media colleagues when he broke his biggest story of his career: The 1974 exposé of the CIA’s massive, illegal domestic spying program.
Egypt Sentences Clinton-Backed Former President To Death
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/17/2015 10:27 -0500When it comes to spectacularly bad foreign policy outcomes, the US is on an incredible run lately even by its own lofty standards. In the latest example of US meddling gone horribly wrong, Mohammed Morsi — the former Egyptian President who was “democratically” elected following mass protests against Hosni Mubarak — was sentenced to death on Saturday.
US Commandos Raid Syria To Kill ISIS "Gas Minister" Identified By Damascus As Saudi Citizen
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/16/2015 10:16 -0500Days after Obama's official account of the May 2011 bin Laden execution had been severely jeopardized by Seymour Hersh's latest report, and when even official media outlets were forced to admit the White House's story was fabricated before being forced to retract, overnight the administration served its latest distraction to the American people when first thing this morning the press was ablaze with reports that US commandos had raided the eastern Syria town of al-Amr, where they killed a senior Islamic State commander, identified as one Abu Sayyaf, ISIS' "oil minister" in charge of the Islamic State's oil and gas operations.
