The Reality Behind The Numbers In China's Boom-Bust Economy
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/02/2015 16:45 -0500The US Federal Reserve orchestrated an artificial boom from 2001 to 2007 through artificially low interest rates and has resumed doing so once again. Entrepreneurs operating under faulty market signals created by the Federal Reserve malinvested hundreds of billions of dollars into capital intensive projects primarily in the housing sector. We paid for our boom with millions of destroyed jobs, wasted labor, and wasted resources. The Chinese Central Bank learned nothing from the Fed’s catastrophic experiment. They will reap the same rewards.

The Worst Nuclear Disaster In US History That You’ve Never Heard About
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/29/2015 12:06 -0500The United States government deliberately hid “the worst nuclear disaster in U.S. history,” according to experts and an in-depth investigation by NBC4 Southern California. Whistleblowers have also come forward to expose the little-known catastrophe, which occurred north of Los Angeles in 1959 and leaked over 300 times the allowable amount of radiation into surrounding neighborhoods. That contamination is now linked to up to a 60% increase in cancer in the area, but the government still refuses to acknowledge its colossal mistake.

US Recession Looms As Factory Orders Plunge 9th Month In A Row
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/02/2015 09:09 -0500US Manufacturers saw new orders rise at a modest 0.4% in July (missing expectations of a 0.9%). However, year-over-year Factory Orders crashed 14.7% (thanks in large part to last year's Boeing order dropping out of the cycle). But even ex-Transports, New orders tumbled 0.6% in July and plunged 6.9% YoY. This is the 9th month in a row of YoY drops and is without doubt signalling an imminent US recession...

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 08/28/2015 18:00 -0500"There’s no flying beams of light, no 'pew! pew!' sound effects. But it is nonetheless a working laser cannon, and it will take your drone down."

Recession Watch - Durable Goods Growth Slows In July, Core Capex Orders Decline 6 Straight Months
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 08/26/2015 07:40 -0500Durable Goods Orders rose a better than expected 2.0% in July (but that is notably slower than the 4.1% revised growth in June). Non-defense Capital Goods growth remains stagnant as core capex orders have now been in deceline 6 straiught months year-over-year. Furthermore, on a non-seasonally-adjusted basis, YoY Durable Goods New Orders collapsed 20.4% - the worse level since the financial crisis as last year's Boeing orders outlier washes out of the numbers... but even ex-Transports the numbers remain recessionary-ugly.
