Warren Buffett Releases Monster 43-Page Half-Century Letter To Berkshire Faithful
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/28/2015 09:40 -0500The day the Buffet "value-investing" fanatics have been looking forward to all year, almost as much as the annual pilgrimage to Omaha, has finally arrived - hours ago Warren Buffett released his historic, 50th annual letter to shareholders, which is extra special because as the Oracle notes in the foreword, "Fifty years ago, today’s management took charge at Berkshire. For this Golden Anniversary, Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger each wrote his views of what has happened at Berkshire during the past 50 years and what each expects during the next 50."

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/03/2015 21:50 -0500On the one hand there is the (self-admitted) persistently over-optimistic Fed saying it's not a big deal:
BULLARD SAYS DOLLAR NOT A HUGE FACTOR FOR U.S. ECONOMY
And on the other hand, this is what actual CEOs are saying...

Why Is The US Treasury Quietly Ordering "Surival Kits" For US Bankers?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/10/2014 23:32 -0500The Department of Treasury is spending $200,000 on survival kits for all of its employees who oversee the federal banking system, according to a new solicitation. As FreeBeacon reports, survival kits will be delivered to every major bank in the United States and includes a solar blanket, food bar, water-purification tablets, and dust mask (among other things). The question, obviously, is just what do they know that the rest of us don't?
