What Hedge Funds Bought And Sold In Q3: The Full 13-F Summary

Today was the deadline for hedge funds to submit their Q3 13-F filings, which considering they represent a snapshot in time as of Sept 30, prior to both the October volatility spike and the presidential election, are likely totally irrelevant by this time. Cisco Fires 5,500; Market Disappointed It Wasn't More - Shares Fall

"Today's market requires Cisco and our customers to be decisive, move with greater speed and drive more innovation than we've seen in our history. The restructuring will eliminate up to 5,500 positions, representing approximately 7 percent of our global workforce, and we will take action under this plan beginning in the first quarter of fiscal 2017."

What Hedge Funds Bought And Sold In Q2: The Full 13-F Summary

Today is the deadline for hedge funds to submit their Q2 13-F filings. Among the more notable changes was the previously reported 55% increase in Warren Buffett's Apple shares, offset by the cut in his Wal-Mart stake; Elliott's addition to stakes in security firms Qualys, Fortinet, CyberArk; ValueAct's new stakes in Morgan Stanley, Seagate; Tiger's exit of Netflix; Jana addition of Time Inc, and Soros' cut of his gold miner positions.

The Next Big Short

At the end of the day, the current preposterous $325 billion market cap has nothing to do with the business prospects of this firm or the considerable entrepreneurial prowess of its leader and his army of disrupters. When Wall Street Gets DeFANGed - Look Out Below!

At this week’s close, the FANG stocks were valued at just under $1.2 trillion, meaning they have gained $450 billion of market cap or 60% during the last 11 months - even as their combined earnings for the September LTM period were up by only 13%. In a word, the gamblers are piling on to the last train out of the station. And that means look out below!

Take Cover - Wall Street Is Breaking Out The Bubblies

This charmed circle includes Google, Amazon, Baidu, Facebook, Saleforce.com, Netflix, Pandora, Tesla, LinkedIn, ServiceNow, Splunk, Workday, Ylep, Priceline, QLIK Technologies and Yandex. Taken altogether, their market cap clocked in at $1.3 trillion on Friday. That compares to just $21 billion of LTM net income for the entire index combined. The talking heads, of course, would urge not to be troubled. After all, what’s a 61X trailing PE among today’s leading tech growth companies?
