Evanescence of Cars .
Andre Willers .
18 May 2014
Synopsis:
More cars are being produced than sold . Over the last 9 years about 25 million more . Where are they ? Who pays ?
Discussion :
0 . Humans are not only abandoning their cities before occupation (see http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2014/05/evanescence-of-cities-iii.html )
But they are abandoning their mobile dwellings (cars) before being able to own then . Not by choice though . Living in your car (ie a nomad) is nearly bottom of the list of choices for a city dweller .

Interest rate reality check
There is a lot of talk about when “the Fed” is going to “raise rates.” Rates are actually determined mostly by supply and demand in the money market. Without getting into an academic fracas, I am going to present some graphs representing very strong empirical regularities that suggest interest rates, long or short, are not going up any time soon.

Over the past year, you could have closed your eyes and thrown a dart at a small cap and made a lot of money. Those times have changed, however there is still money to be made. ...Continue reading here: http://bit.ly/1qEEn4J

technical analysis is broken. I have a ton of shorts, but the ridged market rains. I'm keeping my June puts. And a will go long (calls) if necessary. It's killing me as a fundamentalist and a technician. WTF is what it is until its broken. I'm totally almost broke and very, very depressed but trying for profit obviously.

Newspapers and yahoos point to the record high margin debt as showing the speculation in the markets.
My guess is that short interest in stocks is still at record high or close to it.
Regulation T says you can only short stocks in a margin account?
Are brokerage firms and banks included in short interest reports??
Is John Doe using that much margin to buy stocks?
Or is this a short squeeze on all the "smart money" being short stocks?
And that showing up as the high borrowing on margin?

My understanding of the civilian labor force used to calculate the LFPR was 16 and older, not in the military, not jailed or institutionalized and not retired. Some people say 16-64, but some people retire sooner or later than 64.
