When The U.S. Dollar No Longer Exists
Submitted by Sprott Money on 01/08/2016 10:06 -0500When will we know that the United States is really close to “normalizing interest rates”? The U.S. dollar will no longer exist, and (hopefully) neither will the Federal Reserve – the entity which promised to “protect” that dollar.

What Is Money Printing?
Submitted by Gold Standard Institute on 01/06/2016 02:35 -0500There is a populist idea of money printing. The idea is that banks can just print what they want, enriching themselves... does it really work this way?

How ISIS Broadcasts Its Message To The World: Satellite Dishes Bought In Turkey
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/31/2015 21:15 -0500According to a piece published earlier this month by Spiegel, ISIS obtains the satellite technology it needs to disseminate its propaganda in Antakya. In addition to reinforcing the link between the group and Turkey, this also raises an interesting question: why are the satellite service providers not doing anything to stop the group from spreading its message?
WalMart Works With FBI, MIC To Spy On "Problem" Employees
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/27/2015 18:05 -0500Evil corporate America meets oppressive police state: “When we received word of potential strikes and disruptive activity on Black Friday 2012, that’s when we started to ask the ARC to work with us. ARC had contracted with Lockheed leading up to Black Friday to help source open social media sites.”
Confessions Of An ISIS Soldier: "The Training Took Place In Turkey"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/26/2015 17:50 -0500"In the media they wrote that we were training in an FSA military camp, but in fact, all 60 of us were members of Daesh. We were Syrian nationals, many of whom in the beginning moved to Turkey to earn some money, and then joined Daesh."

Islamic Blitzkrieg Coming To Germany, Arrested Jihadist Warns
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/18/2015 18:01 -0500As Spiegel reports, an ISIS turncoat now in German custody says that "during his time in the Syrian warzone, he frequently heard people talking about attacks in the West and says that pretty much every European jihadist was approached with the same questions he had been asked." "They want something that happens everywhere at the same time."
Fed Mouthpiece Reads Liftoff Tea Leaves
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/16/2015 14:57 -0500"When the Fed moves next will depend importantly on how inflation evolves. The Fed’s preferred measure of inflation has run below its 2% objective for more than three years. The central bank focused extra attention on the inflation outlook in its statement, saying it would “carefully monitor” actual and expected progress toward the goal. This point implied the Fed will be reluctant to raise rates again unless it sees inflation actually moving up. For now, officials said they were “reasonably confident” inflation would rise."
The Complete Fed Decision Preview: All You Need To Know
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/16/2015 13:50 -0500At 2 p.m. EST, the only thing the financial world will care about and discuss will be the Fed's [first rate hike in 9 years|epic disappointment]. So for those who still haven't made up their mind about what the Fed's [dovish|non-dovish] rate hike means, here is all you need to know.
“We Don’t Remember How To Raise Interest Rates. None Of Us Worked Here The Last Time We Did It”
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/16/2015 10:46 -0500... I found myself seeking refuge in the tiramisu staring back at me, a bit uncomfortable that I was only hearing the wah wahs of Charlie Brown’s adult voices. Until this, during the back and forth of Q&A: (Laughter around the room…) “We don’t remember how to raise interest rates. None of us worked here the last time we did it.”
Janet Yellen's "Junk Bonds Are Contained" Moment
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/14/2015 12:38 -0500"While there might be a few areas where I have concerns, such as deteriorating underwriting standards in leveraged lending, farmland prices, a few things, I don't see those excesses having developed at this point.... Taking into account a broad range of metrics that bear on financial stability, our overall assessment at this point is that threats are moderate."
The Godfather Of Climate Change Calls Obama's Deal "A Fraud, It's Bullshit"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/13/2015 13:00 -0500"It's a fraud really, a fake," says James Hansen rubbing his head. The former NASA Scientist, considered the father of global awareness of climate change, exclaimed "It's just bullshit for them to say: 'We'll have a 2C warming target and then try to do a little better every five years.' It's just worthless words. There is no action, just promises. As long as fossil fuels appear to be the cheapest fuels out there, they will be continued to be burned."
Peter Schiff Exposes The Real Problem Facing The Fed
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/13/2015 10:30 -0500The real problem for the Fed will be how foolish it will look if it does raise by 25 basis points and is then forced by a slowing economy to lower rates back to zero soon after liftoff. At that point, the markets should finally understand that the Fed is powerless to get out of the stimulus trap it has created. But it looks like the Fed would rather look foolish later when it's forced to cut rates, than look foolish now by not raising them at all. The Fed’s rocket to nowhere will hover above the launch pad for a considerable period of time before ultimately falling back down to Earth.
