America Throws Up Over Obama's Immigration Executive Action Even Before It Is Announced
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/19/2014 13:20 -0500Ahead of President Obama's address to the nation tomorrow to dictate his executive orders on immigration, potentially allowing millions of undocumented immigrants to stay legally in the US, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds nearly half of Americans disapprove of his plan. Only a dismal 38% support the President taking this executive action... which makes us wonder if there has ever been so much revulsion at the policies of a standing President. It's good to be king.
3 Billion Gallons Of Fracking Wastewater Pumped Into Clean California Aquifiers: "Errors Were Made" State Admits
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/17/2014 23:07 -0500Dear California readers: if you drank tapwater this morning (or at any point in the past few weeks/months), you may be in luck as you no longer need to buy oil to lubricate your engine: just use your blood, and think of the cost-savings. That's the good news. Also, the bad news, because as the California’s Department of Conservation’s Chief Deputy Director, Jason Marshall, told NBC Bay Area, California state officials allowed oil and gas companies to pump up to 3 billion gallons (call it 70 million barrels) of oil fracking-contaminated waste water into formerly clean aquifiers.
Almost "Wednesday Bloody Wednesday" As Bono's Private Jet Loses Door At 15,000 Feet
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/13/2014 12:42 -0500Today is a 'beautiful day' for U2's front-man Bono as a 'miracle' saved him from what could easily have become 'Wednesday bloody Wednesday' for him and his friends as they flew from Dublin to Berlin. As NBC News reports, Bono had a mid-air scare on Wednesday when the rear door of his private jet plummeted at least 15,000 feet to the ground. The pilots said they noticed a rumble similar to turbulence during a right-hand turn on approach, but that they felt no major change in how the plane was flying even as luggage and door fell to earth... The search for the missing door continues but investigators were overheard saying they 'still hadn't found what they're looking for'.
24% Of Millennials "Expect" Student Loan Forgiveness
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/13/2014 09:10 -0500It appears the concept of no consequences is now deeply embedded in the American society. As Student loan debtloads surge ever higher - and opportunities grow ever lower - NBC News reports a rather stunning 24% of Millennials said they expect their loans will ultimately be forgiven, according to study released Wednesday by Junior Achievement and PwC US. That helps to explain why delinquency rates are at record highs - aside from the massive debtloads and no high-paying jobs - as students see bankers rigging every market in the world with little to no consequence, one can only imagine the lessons being learned.
China's Latest Ghost Town: A $50 Billion Fake Replica Of Manhattan
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/11/2014 19:47 -0500"They are building stuff that nobody really wants or needs," sums up yet another mega ghost city project under development in China. As NBC News reports, China's $50-billion knock-off of the Big Apple - near the port city of Tianjin, some 120 miles from Beijing - complete with its own Rockefeller Center and Twin Towers has been billed as the world's largest financial center in the making. But this Manhattan still has a long way to go...
Obama Authorizes Plan To Double Number Of Troops In Iraq
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/07/2014 14:43 -0500If you like your boots-on-the-ground, you can keep them... and have some more. Whether a strawman or not, Reuters reports that according to US officials, the U.S. military has drawn up plans to significantly increase the number of American forces in Iraq, which now total around 1,400, as Washington seeks to bolster Iraqi forces battling the Islamic State. The White House and Pentagon were expected to announce further details later Friday.

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/01/2014 13:42 -0500Two headlines came across my screen today, which taken together pretty much sum up the effects of policy decisions made by Central Bankers and politicians since the financial crisis. The financial oligarchs got bailed out, and the rich got richer due to decisions made by “leaders” around the globe. As such, the entire planet has now been transformed into a neo-feudal tinderbox.

Obama Explains What "Quarantine-Like Isolation" Really Means - Live Feed
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/28/2014 13:53 -0500
Having confirmed earlier that Ebola Czar Ron Klain did not take the weekend off, and ensured the American public knows the decisions on what Chuck Hagel called "quarantine-like" isolation (though obviously not quarantine because the polls suggest that word would not play well with core liberal voters) are still under discussion; we anxiously await President Obama to explain how the mixed messages from various government entities and individual states (with Christie re-flopping to strict quarantines again today) all make sense and are not, as Christie said "incredibly confusing."
