Middle aged scottish engineer and newbie to the world of financial/economic reality after nearly 2 decades as a dumb herd animal spending and borrowing. Had a big WTF moment a few years ago when I learned how the reserve banking system really works. It was all downhill from there. Been lurking for about a month after finding this site through a friend. Wish i'd found it many years ago.
