While the Dow and S&P are both testing support at the same time, one Fear/Greed indicator is now at short-term extremes (excess fear).

It might be worth keeping a close eye on the hangman patterns in BlackRock and JP Morgan

Most investors are familiar with the relationship between the U.S. Dollar and Gold.

The declines of late have the Dow testing support and support is support until broken. This support line could be the bottom of a bearish descending triangle pattern.

While 25-year resistance is being tested, momentum is at levels seldom seen in the past quarter-century. In fact, rates were closer to highs than lows when momentum was this high in the past.

Over the past 15-years, the Nasdaq100/S&P500 ratio has spent the majority of the time inside of rising channel (1), highlighting that tech has been in a leadership role for years and years. The ratio is now testing the top of this rising channel at (2) this month. 

Breakouts for any of these 3 FAANG stocks would go a long way in pacifying investor concerns.

FANG stocks (Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, Google) have given rise to the everyday investor idea that the ride will last forever.

This is a price point where bulls do not want to see selling pressure getting started!

With Boeing being the most expensive stock in the Dow, if it would decline, it would have a large impact on the Dow.

The pennant pattern is useful in suggesting that when it does end, historically a large move takes place.
