Analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Expenditures Survey data shows that, over that 34-year period, healthcare costs per head increased by an average of $74.10 each year, resulting in a 101% inflated cost by 2018. And, no surprises here, the biggest component of that cost increase came from health care insurance – a whopping surge of nearly 300%!
