Yesterday we pointed out the latest, disturbing development in the Anthony Weiner sexting saga that involved a girl he knew to be a 15-year old Sophomore in high school (see "Disgraced Anthony Wiener Sexted, Had Online Relationship With Underage Girl"). The startling interview by the girl with the Daily Mail, instantly transformed Weiner from a mere creepy sexual deviant to a sexual predator who could face up to 15 years in jail and be forced to register as a sex offender if the allegations prove true.
Turns out the NYPD's Special Victims Unit frowns upon adults sending texts to minors threatening to "bust that tight pussy so hard and so often that you would be limp for a week." Sharing pornographic material and masturbating over skype sessions, as alleged by the young girl, also didn't sit well with authorities or the girl's father.
The Daily Mail confirmed, with the following tweet, that the NYPD has launched an investigation into the situation.

New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, told the NY Post that “if the reports are true, it’s possibly criminal and it is sick." Cuomo went to say that “frankly, I’ve heard enough about Anthony Weiner"...which, we suspect, echos the thoughts of many Americans at this point.
Meanwhile, defense attorney Andrew Stengel confirmed to the NY Post that Weiner could be facing various charges that carry a minimum of 15 years of jail time.
Defense lawyer Andrew Stengel, a former Manhattan prosecutor, said Weiner could get slapped with disseminating indecent material to a minor and promoting the sexual performance of a child.
Each crime carries up to seven years behind bars, and a conviction for dissemination would force Weiner to register as a sex offender.
On the federal level, Weiner could be charged with sexual exploitation of children, which carries a minimum of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 30.
We suspect this is all fairly "inconvenient" timing for Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, who is trying desperately to carry Hillary into the White House.
